Great setting. Food was prepared perfectly, solid wine list, and oysters were amazing.
Ate at KPC while staying at the Hilton. Staff were friendly but not particularly happy to be there. As it turned out, they are limping to closure this week with no clear date to reopen. It is hard not to judge the restaurant by the Hilton property which was someone’s bad idea back in the day and long overdue for a makeover. Honestly, they need to do a Vegas style implosion and start from scratch. Hope the wonderful people of Hawaii can hang on through unemployment and find a better resort as their employer when things turn around.
We went to celebrate a special birthday,we had booked in advance . I tried to call them but they had no way to reach them. We did get a table but a very bad one near the stairs. You pay extra to sit outside but did mot feel worth it with such a table.
Overall food was very good.
The server was good and got us nice desert for birthday but the facility setup was sloppy and inconsiderate.
The server and executive chef were phenomenal in making sure our dietary restrictions were met throughout the 3 course meal and we were so blown away by the exceptional service. The ambiance and sunset were of course, stunning and icing on the cake. This is our favorite special occasion location for sure!
A beautiful setting! It can't get too much better if you have an outdoor table. The food was okay, and our server was very nice. The meal was bit too pricey for what we received, however.
The food is exceptional and even if you're not a foodie, the experience is worth the time and effort.
we had the 3 course option and all the meals were great. However, two of the three wine bottles we ordered were not in stock!
Wonderful food and atmosphere! The crab cake appetizer was awesome, as was the catch of the day! Very memorable experience and gorgeous views.
Overall very good food, the view is wonderful. Quality of the meat was excellent as were the local greens. Portion size was way to large. Overall good quality and taste, but not up to my standard of fine dining.
KPC is always a “must do” Egan I am on the Big Island. They never disappoint: food and service is great. Ambiance is wonderful and the sunsets not to be missed. The only negative is that they now only have the mandatory $85 price (3 course dinner) for outside seating at dinner time. This is too much food and quite expensive. Nevertheless we went for it and dinner was fantastic!
Great view and fantastic food & service.
The reservation was made over a month ago and was confirmed 24 hours before the reservation but the restaurant is CLOSED. And will be for the foreseeable future.Additionally, I tried calling the number and there was no way to call the restaurant. It was incredibly disappointing
WHEN WE GOT TO THIS RESTAURANT IT WAS CLOSED!!!
I BOOKED THIS RESERVATION WEEKS AGO FOR A SPECIAL OCCASION SUNSET MEAL AND WHEN WE GOT THERE IT WAS CLOSED.
OPEN TABLE CONFIRMED THIS RESERVATION A DAY AGO.
I WAS NEVER INFORMED THAT THIS PLACE WAS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS.
I AM QUITE DISAPPOINTED AND UPSET.
WE HAD TO SCRAMBLE TO GET A TABLE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AND MISSED THE SUNSET.
They were not even open. No one bothered to tell us until we were at the door trying to have our sunset dinner. Called the front desk and they were of no help.
Reservation was confirmed via open table. But restaurant was closed
Closed - after having anniversary reservations for months, I received a single email about 1 week beforehand that the restaurant would be closed... like most of the restaurants at Hilton Waikoloa Village.
We had booked a reservation here for the last night of our honeymoon. We called the week before we arrived to confirm the reservation and were told they had the reservation for us at the date and time we booked. We arrived at the site and called to see where we could park. We were immediately transferred to a call line where a representative said the restaurant had been closed since September 7th (4 days prior). We received no notice of a cancelled reservation and were unable to make other reservations that night due to the short notice. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the way that was handled and will not be attempting to book any reservations here in the future.
This restaurant is closed for the season. We drove an hour each way to eat there. Please remove it from your offerings.
We had a lovely sunset dinner at KP! We celebrated our honeymoon with delicious food, great drinks and outstanding service. The staff was able to seat us 1 hour earlier than our reservation at a special chefs table, despite having an a la cart reservation. We were so happy and will absolutely dine here again!
Asked to be seated in a nice ocean front table as we were celebrating both our wife's birthdays. 50 and 55. We were seated last table closest to the inside. Last table of adults. Only thing closer to the kitchen were tables with kids
Always a wonderful evening at KPC - plan to drop some coin for the evening, but it’s a great meal and you can’t beat the location. Service, as always, is top level. Nice add-on this trip was live music, softly playing in the background.
Sorry to hear they are shutting down till Thanksgiving - not good for the employees, hope they can stick it out and be there when we return next year.
Lovely setting with great chef choice menu.
Nice view, accommodating staff. Food was a bit pricey. Value was placed on view and service! Would recommend for a one time visit if you want an exceptional water view while dining.
Had a wonderful dinner. Service and food was outstanding. View of the sunset was magnificent.
If you are looking for a great place to eat a more upscale dinner then I would recommend looking elsewhere as you will get little value for your dollar here. The wait staff were friendly enough and the ambiance was ok, apart from the patio where we sat which had very blue string lights for it's only source of illumination, but it does not make up for the severe lack of quality in the food. Apart from the scallops my wife and I ordered, the rest of our dinner was either forgetful or poorly prepared. We both ordered the seared ahi, which was over cooked and possessed a bitter after taste, and we shared a side of truffle mashed potatoes which tasted as if they were soaked in truffle oil. Had these dishes and sides been half their cost then they may have been passable, but if dinner is going to cost a party of two several hundred dollars it is fair to expect an experienced and competent kitchen staff. This restaurant is grossly over priced for what you receive and it appears most of the cost is due to it's location on the resort. Save your money and go to Brown's Beach House which is everything that this restaurant could have and should have been.
Excellent meal in a beautiful setting. We did the three course meal in order to get outdoor seating to watch the amazing sunset. Each course was delicious! Unfortunately they’ll be closing until November due to new covid restrictions. Please visit them once they’re back open.
Superb location, watched the sunset and listened to live music. The seafood was outstanding and fresh. Amazing service- our water glass never got more than 1/3 empty. :) Perfect place to celebrate an anniversary. Would come here again and highly recommend!
What an incredible experience and blessing for us. Mark makes best Mai tai on the island, our server Linda is professional, warm and her recommendations are spot on! World class experience thank you!!
KPC is counting down n the view to distract you from mediocre food. Required prix fixe of $85 per person not a value, nor reasonable given the food. Grilled Caesar sadly drowned in dressing and cheese. Hangar steak, an extra $10 over the $85, was tough, cauliflower it came with was tasteless, parsnip purée was maybe a highlight, but stingy portion made me wonder if the chef was afraid of it. Short rib agnolotti not super memorable which is kind of sad as it should have been a pretty easy winner given the appealing ingredients. Front of the house was ok. Service from Linda was friendly and reasonable, but definitely expect a slow pace. Drinks were good. Shout out to the Hilton valets who were super accommodating and friendly. They were the best part of the evening.
The setting of this restaurant is lovely. The service was great. Food was half and half. Oysters were served warm and didn’t taste good…they did remove them from our bill which is appreciated.
We were supposed to be sat at a table outside on the patio for the sunset but ended being seated inside where two of our party couldn’t even see the sunset. Food was good and service was good however we were served appetizers even before our menus were picked up. It was awkward to stack them on the floor.
We booked seeing how beautiful the location looked. The price at $85 per person for a three course meal in Hawaii seemed fair. What they don’t tell you is that over have the menus items are up charges. My fish was $10 more, a steak was $20 dollars more. This just ruined the experience. The food was nothing special, my fish while good and my salad fresh was not a $95 dollar meal.
Wait about 20 mins after check in with a reservation. Then wait another 20 mins without a waiter. Found a small plastic piece in my dish… Anyway the view and the taste of the food is okay.
Went for a sunset anniversary dinner and was not disappointed! Great ambiance and food, though doesn’t come cheap.
We arrived early to our reservation and they were most accommodating to us. The food was delicious and the menu is extensive. Wine prices are what you would expect at the resort. Brian, our server, was perfect. We will return
25 th anniversary. Everything was great.
Wow the sunsets are amazing . We tried the chef menu which was awesome.
There is no better location for a sunset but beyond that it is pretty mediocre. Our server was amazing but the food and drinks were just ok. For the price, having noisy babies right next to us didn’t help either.
DeeAnna was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food and service was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Hawaii!
Food was okay but too pricey compared to other hotels in the island.
