We went to the Kamuela Provision Company on the last day of our two week family vacation in Hawaii. All 6 of us agreed that it was the best restaurant experience of our vacation that included a number of good restaurants on both Oah and Hawai’i. The Mung Chung was excellent and our granddaughter’s steak was done exactly as she wanted it. The service was absolutely outstanding. The gentle breeze, flickering torches, and the sound of the ocean breaking on the rocks made the dinner an experience we want to enjoy again.
Great food, in an incredible setting.
Amazing setting, service, food and sunset! A little pricey, but worth the splurge for special occasions-we’ll definitely be back!
View was incredible and meal was one of the best my wife and I have ever had.
Celebrated important milestones achieved in our family. Loved the seating by the ocean. Our meal was wonderful. We enjoyed many wonderful dinners at various restaurants while on Hawaii. Provisions price point stands out relative to its peer group of restaurants.
We first ate here two years ago and enjoyed it so much we visited again on our visit this year
We went to celebrate a birthday and 30 year anniversary. The food and service was spectacular and the views were amazing
I would go again if I get back to Hawaii
Excellent food but even better environment on the patio at sunset. A bit overpriced but location makes it a must-do splurged if you’re staying at the hotel.
The food, service, and setting were excellent. My complaint is that the portions are fairly small for the price. Overall I would highly recommend the restaurant.
I ate here 3 times in a week. The Ginger Monchong was amazing. My husband had the seafood stew, also excellent.
The second meal I had the Fillet, it was the best steak I've ever eaten on the Big Island. I had it the next night it was so good. I asked for medium both nights and it was perfectly done. I had some Mac and cheese one night because I wanted some gooey carbs and it was delicious, done with white cheese. Noodles were eldante.
On the second night my husband had the Lamb, he was in heaven with his side of mashed potatoes (or Pure Pomme whatever they call them). It was infused with mint and done medium rare to perfection he said. He devoured them, said it was the best lamb in many years. He had the Big steak the third night and said it was excellent.
Those mashed potatoes were spectacular.
Loved it! Always top quality food and service. The steamed Mong Chong has had me coming back to this restaurant for years!
Unbelievable view of the sunset!!! Ribeye was absolutely amazing!! Server was very good. Overall a great dining experience!!!
Last night in Hawaii
Always an amazing view of the coast and sunset and impeccable service
Extraordinary view of sunset. Great food and drinks. The service was outstanding.
We were honestly disappointed, because we ended our honeymoon by dining here, and for the amount we paid, we expected the food to be better based on prices at comparative restaurants on the island. My short rib was extremely dry and didn't have the best flavor, and my husband's fish was not seasoned. The dessert was the best part, but even that was overpriced. We just expected more.
Fantastic location to watch the surf and a sunset from a dinner table. The open air dining experience is the best I've ever had. The food and the drinks were very good.
Server never came back with steak knifes and had to use butter knives to try and cut out meat, he forgot our appetizer and brought it like a desert , and never refilled our waters. Food tasted good but not for the amount you pay.
I had the wrong night for reservations and showed up a day early and they were very kind and sat us in a wonderful spot. We had the steak and lobster and it was amazing. The staff was great.
Great sunset, right on the ocean!!
Food was over cooked & not tasty
We made reservation via Open Table app. Very easy to use. We selected an outdoor seating option and were right at the waters edge for evening dinner. Small portions of food, but it was tasty. It was easy to stay on property vs. traveling elsewhere.
Linda our server was great
Although I had requested a seat in the reserved area when making the reservation, which was not honored, the table that we were sat at made up for the mistake. Ryan, our server, was very genial and made the night better with his terrific service. The dinner was delicious and very filling, well worth the price.
Before they served the pork belly in slices and now it’s served with 1 slice in a bun, 2 times. Didn’t care for the garnishes inside the bun. I picked everything out before I ate it. If served like before I sooooo would continue buying it in the future. Other then that the food was awesome. Fiancé brought the Kona coffee rubbed steak, awesome. I wish they served something like that on the Hilo side. My lobster and tenderloin was awesome too with the sauces. Went sansei’s the night before and KPC out run them on both similar dishes. Sansei’s downgraded big time and now will only be coming KPC.
3 of us ordered surf & turf. 2 were supposed to be medium rare; they were medium and the meat was tough. Oi of the 3 lobsters was supposed to be steamed, but it came out grilled. Location was great, but the food was not up to par. Not sure I'd recommend the restaurant.
We always make sure to book one dinner here while visiting the Big Island. I ordered the squid ink pasta with prawns and my husband ordered the surf and turf. Both dishes were delicious. My prawns were soft, large and the pasta sauce was slightly spicy, great combination with the perfectly cooked pasta. Hats off to the chef! I will definitely order this plate again. The sunset was not the best as it was cloudy, but the view of the ocean was perfect. Our server was nice but did not exceed our expectations.
Everyone in our group had a fish dish, all were very good and flavorful. We had a beautiful sunset and lovely breezes for our meal. The wait staff was knowledgeable and very attentive. Definitely was our most memorable meal on the island.
Location and service was outstanding, food was hit and miss. Ono Special was very tasty, Monchong not so much.
The sunset is spectacular. The food was good and the service was spot on. Made me feel very welcome. Loved the kitty’s.
The view is amazing...you can’t argue with that. Our service was not very good and the food was very tasteless...outside of the seafood chowder...which was very good. The drinks were so overpriced it was laughable. We definitely will not be going back when there are so many amazing local restaurants to eat at on the Big Island with amazing views.
Great food & a breathtaking view. A little pricey!
The food and service and spectacular sunset is what keeps bringing us back. The Hilton Waikoloa appears to be struggling with maintaining their service level...but NOT this great location and restaurant. Can't say enough about how great every course was... The Coconut Creme Brulee is spectacular...
Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful service, excellent food. Not to miss when in Waikoloa.
Amazing experience. KPC took care of us exquisitely. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner, amazing food, the views right on the oceanfront, anniversary extras, and a fabulous server and VIP service.
Wonderful service! The New York steak was a bit tough, but overall the food tasted great.
