An overall good experience the mushroom encrusted hanger steak was outstanding!!
We visited on a chilly, rainy evening so sat inside with well-spaced tables. Service was excellent and food was great. We did not care for the flavored butter, but that was the only downer. I had the flat iron steak and my husband had the ribeye. Both were cooked as ordered and both were very flavorful and tender. The sides were also delish. Even better was the flourless chocolate torte that paired well with the last of our bottle of red wine. We would highly recommend a meal in this cozy spot, especially when staying at the Gin Hotel.
Nice place. The food is good and the view is great.
Food was good --- but not great -- and server was very nice. We sat outside on a 34-degree evening due to COVID. It was pretty cold at first but we moved to another table when another party left. It was next to a portable heater. I would suggest management invest in a couple more of those. Otherwise, no complaints. We were visiting Lexington for the weekend and the downtown area was picturesque.
Miranda was fantastic! Heaters in patio were super warm and the food (mussels and classic cheeseburger with delicious fries) was delicious!
Wow, Did Juniper Lounge get outdoor seating correct. What a pleasure!! Staff was superb both days.
The perfect place for outdoor dining. Love looking down on Lexington. The service was outstanding.
Great restaurant for date night. I had the filet mignon and it was very good. The handcrafted cocktails were also very nice.
We used to dine regularly at Rocca, and thought we'd try the Juniper Lounge. I made reservations on line; I asked for a low table and the website said outdoor seating was not available. We were greeted promptly and seated at a high table outside; we would have opted to sit outside, and we informed our server of the website error. We were given a rather limited menu, even with a separate page of chef's specials, we found entrée options limited. The drink and wine lists provided nice variety. I enjoyed the pork entrée and my wife had the chicken parmesan on linguini. The pork was nicely done and presented well; the chicken parmesan was a generous portion, with a rather pedestrian marinara sauce. We suggested to our server that Juniper add some of the Rocca favorites, such as their lasagna and seafood (sea scallops and shrimp) pasta to their menu.
Food was exceptional. Service was slow - must be working out some kinks, especially at the bar. But overall we enjoyed it and will definitely be back
The Calamari app and bread with garlic butter were delicious. My husband ordered the steak and he truly enjoyed every bite, cooked perfectly, which made him very happy. I had the salmon burger and it to was delicious. We will be back to dine with you!!!!
We had to reserve an early table, so it was just us when we arrived. We dined on the patio, which was lovely. The food was delicious (lamb chops) and the service was good. I didn't love the white sangria. It was very tart and didn't taste like it contained much wine. Otherwise, a very pleasant experience.
There are not many choices in Lexington. I like Juniper because it has outdoor seating. The menu is limited. Service was excellent.
We came here to celebrate my friends birthday and were delightfully surprised! Our server Grace made excellent suggestions and provided great service during our lengthy stay. I will be coming back!
Waited half hour for server to arrive and another half hour to get appetizers. She never provided bread though we saw that it was served to another table by a different server. Sword fish was over cooked.
We dined at Rocca’s the other night. We were promptly seated at a nice table on the outdoor patio. Our server was friendly and efficient. For apps, we shared calamari and cauliflower. Both delicious! We all had burgers that were perfectly cooked to order. We will be back!
Good place to eat - good location. Indoor and Outdoor seating.
Good ambience overlooking Main Street in Lexington.
Love the vibe here! The menu is small but everything is good. They have a gorgeous balcony overlooking downtown that’s awesome to sit on, weather-permitting.
We had a very nice time dining on the outdoor terrace on a Friday evening. The restaurant was quiet as there are still restrictions due to COVID but we had an enjoyable time. The food was good quality considering it is a hotel restaurant, we enjoyed the fish and beef entree options which were served with fresh local vegetables. Despite being understaffed (we think? - and again, probably due to COVID) the servers were attentive to our needs and prompt in bringing everything to our table! Would visit again!
It was so reassuring to know everyone was following pandemic protocols. We had a wonderful experience.
Menu is limited due to the virus. The only pasta dish was too spicy. Fist and Chips were excellent. Love the outdoor seating. Miss the flatbread and lasagna that they use to have.
Food was great. Amazing service. Friendly staff. Will be back
Glad to have Roccas open again. We missed it. Great new entree the Angry Bird
We had a great time at Rocca, the food was good and we loved sitting on there deck.
cute place. busy Friday night at end of happy hour. Sat at the bar for drinks and dinner. Large parties ahead of us for meals. Pasta and chicken dish were very average. Caesar salad had no dressing using shredded romaine lettuce. disappointing
Great wine and great pasta!
Lovely setting, excellent food, service a bit slow for this type of dining on a slow night.
Our server was delightful but apologized a lot as she hadn't tried a lot of the dishes. Instilled with a bit more confidence and she would have had one more star.
There was a guitar player who was quite good but a bit loud.
The food is fantastic as is the value.
The acoustics were awful. The noise level was to the point of being disorienting. The restaurant needs to be carpeted, and possibly add some sound dampening panels on the walls. The noise somewhat negates the good food and service that we experienced.
The Rocca rolls were fantastic! Great spot to sit outside and enjoy the sunset.
Service was sub-par even though we went for an early dinner. For example, silverware and napkins were not provided even though appetizers were brought out. We had to ask for it. Water glasses not filled up frequently enough.
The quality of the food is excellent so that is a solid plus for this restaurant as well as being in the historic Robert E Lee Hotel.
Excellent dinner for anniversary and college visit. Balcony seating had a great view of Main Street. Temp was a little cool and music a little loud, but neither diminished our experience. Highly recommend.
A very good meal, start to finish...service was generally good but a little slow and not when needed. The noise level was quite loud, too loud.
Great food.. live music that wasn’t too loud.. overlooking main st. Was great
Celebrating our daughter’s birthday. Very nice evening
We visited during Parents Weekend, and requested outdoor seating. We were fortunate enough to be seated outside, and it was a great combination of delicious pasta, fun company, and good service. Prices were reasonable, too. Very happy to return when we're in the area!!
My family had a nice dining experience. The pasta dishes were quite good. During nice weather, I would recommend sitting outside. The service was slow
We have dined at Rocca several times in the past and have enjoyed it each time. The menu is varied and interesting. It's has choices for you whether you are looking for several courses or just something light. The staff is just charming. They really seem to enjoy talking to the patrons.
We like to sit outside where there is a great view down Main Street but it was a bit cold for that this weekend.
Fantastic food, waitress & waiters fast and efficient and great music on Wednesday night.
