Expected happy hour - only dinner menu - 3 meatballs at $15!
Amazing food and atmosphere!
Amazing!! Food was delicious and the service was perfect! Had an amazing date night!
Unbelievably great first class anniversary evening at Juniper. Greeted with complimentary Proseco, followed by the Victrola cocktail, a bottle of Frogs Leap, terrific entrees, sides and dessert. Finished with a personalized gift box on the way out. The staff made a special occasion just that!
Fantastic food, fantastic service.
Juniper is such a great spot. I was craving pappardelle, but enjoyed the two desserts and the espresso martini most. Love the open kitchen and the service is fantastic.
The perfect date night spot when you want to celebrate and occasion and ball out
Great atmosphere, price was high compared to actual portion sizes..
This was my third time dining at the chef counter and it is a great experience overall. We were really happy with all the food and drinks we had. One of my favorite spots in Austin for a special occasion.
The food was absolutely incredible. We shared everything so we could try a few things. The waitress was very informative and helped us with what we didn’t understand. I will definitely be back and have already told several people to try it out!
I go here a lot and it never gets old. Jack at the bar is wonderful, as is the rest of the crew.
We previously had a wonderful experience at Juniper, however after raving about it to friends and bringing them back we were so disappointed. Our server was rude and condescending and really ruined our experience. From being made to feel dumb for asking about the different types of Tequila Blanco, to me moving the candle from where he moved it right next to me to in front of me...to which he asked if there was a problem with where he moved the candle (like I had no right to change where he put it) and I responded with yes, I would like to avoid burning myself reaching over a candle for my drink. There were other things that occurred where he made us feel like we did not have enough manners and class to dine there. BTW- All four of us were raised with manners and know how to dine at a nice restaurant. Thanks but I don’t need you to refresh my memory on my cotillion days! 🙄 So sad we won’t be visiting again. I never leave reviews but felt this was worthy of one.

The food was very good. Service was great. Portions were too small considering the prices. More choices for meat, fish selections would be a good idea. Building too hot.
Some of the dishes were very salty, and we had to send them back to be replaced. The replacement was good, and the staff handled it professionally. However, at this level of restaurant, this ought not to happen. I would still go back there. The ambiance is nice, staff is nice. Food is good when it is not salty.
Husbands b-day date night. We love everything about Juniper. The staff, the food, the cocktails, etc. It’s all 100%!
Great spot and excellent food. Crudo was delicious along with the NY strip, which was sliced and easy to share and cooked to perfection. Cacio e Pepe...don’t get me started. Was seriously off the charts with the shaved summer truffles on top. Delicious.
Great vibe. All of our dishes were excellent. Desserts are bit different than expected.
We had to wait 30 mins for our reservation but the manager gave us a round of drinks which was very nice! We lived some stuff but weren’t crazy about the Chicken or smoky green beans. Dessert was great!
Pasta was amazing, definitely will go back for the risotto!
It was a wonderful atmosphere and the food was really good. Wasn't the best thing ever, but was quite good and I recommend it.
Amazing service and food! Loved sitting at the bar and watching the chefs cook
The restaurant was hot and humid, the noise level was high and the food was hit or miss. We ordered eight separate dishes from salad, appetizer, pasta, main course and dessert. About half of the dishes were good to very good while the other half were uninspired. The small lettuce salad was delightful as was the rigatoni bolognase and mushroom risotto. However the cacia di Pepe was not well balanced in flavor and the brined chicken tasted like overly salty seawater. The desserts were so low in sweet we wondered if they were for diabetics.
We did the tasting menu for the first time. At first we were hesitant because you must sit at the counter but that actually turned out to be fun. The tasting menu has 6 courses and was $65/person. It was a nice variety of food. The courses were not large, but with 6 of them, we went away quite full. Highlights were the fluke carpacio, the occhi and the pistachio gelato plus figs. Service was very attentive.
We went for Austin restaurant week dinner - The Cacio was delicious and definitely stands above the crowd but everything else was just above average, especially considering the price. The chicken was well cooked but lacked a unique flavor - it was mostly just salt, which is fine, but didn't justify the price.
Great dining experience. Friendly and attentive staff. Unique experience taking advantage of the counter seating option.
Another 5-star experience and amazing food! This place keeps getting better and better! James went above and beyond to provide a memorable dining experience!
Excellent food, beautiful atmosphere, perfect service. One of my favorite restaurants!
Too loud to hear each other! The food & service was excellent.
Great food and pretty spot. Portions were a normal size - not too big or small. Also, you can request to sit at the bar to watch the kitchen staff in action - quite enjoyable.
Excellent food and service. It was oddly hot when we arrived, but the stellar service staff quickly worked to fix it, granted the giant glass window facing the west doesn’t help their strife. They were more than helpful and even offered cold towels to assist. The food was all stellar and with a staff willing to go above and beyond, I will absolutely be coming back and bringing lots of friends and family. Excellent spot.
I booked a reservation for my wife's birthday because several people recommended Juniper. Let me tell you, they were amazing from the time we pulled up. The valet greeter us promptly & held the front for open for us, the hostess greeted us promptly & wished my wife a happy birthday. When they sat us down, they had customized menus with my wife's name on them. We were greeted with commentary prosecco for her birthday, and we ordered additional drinks which were smooth & very tasty. Our appetizer was Fluke, which was delicious & light enough to not fill us up before the entree. I had the pan seared fish with grilled okra & my wife had the NY strip with green beans & both dishes were incredible. For dessert they kept in mind my wife has diet restrictions & brought her out a custom dessert which she loved, and I had the zappoles which were amazing. They gave my wife a wonderful parting gift with her custom menu signed by everyone. Thank you very much for making her birthday extremely special, she's still talking about it.
Food and service were great. Restaurant was hot. Nothing was said by staff but they were also very hot. Load and hit make for an uncomfortable situation. Staff was great keeping us with lots of cold water but the room temp was a problem .
Great experience overall. Elevated food, ambiance and experience.
Great food and amazing service, every time!
Food was salty and nothing special. Service was bad and the server didn’t seem to know the menu or maybe he just didn’t like the food himself and didn’t know what to recommend. Portion sizes were small and overpriced.
Amazing first experience! Everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly cooked. The Cacio e Pepe was well worth the hype (add shaved truffles)! Also tried the crudo, meatballs, and roast chicken which were all phenomenal. To finish we ordered the donuts for desert and they were out of this world! The service and ambiance on top of the food made the experience a 10/10. Definitely will be going back soon!
Everyone made the entire evening feel special, going above and beyond to make our experience personal!
I made a reservation with a friend before I left for Germany. Not only was the food incredible but the staff there went above and beyond for me. They printed a special menu for me wishing me good luck and at the end of the night the whole staff signed it and gave me a special going away present filled with various delicious snacks. I highly recommend this place!!!
Our reservation was at 6:45, our table was directly in the sun, thicker shades are necessary.
Bar service was a little slow, over all service was very good
Food was delicious as usual
