Was hoping for medium rare prime rib and it was medium
well. My husband asked for another piece of medium rare and it was totally well done.
There was live music playing in the room directly above us and the drum like pounding was awful. We could not hear each other speaking.
We have eaten here twice. Both times came at happier hour. Very nice atmosphere. Good food, and a great happier hour selection. Prompt and nice servers! Very accommodating. Some of the food items are a little high priced. We could have used a little more lighting in the evening just so we can see our food. But overall a nice, quiet pleasant dinner and evening.
Always a great meal and friendly staff. The chef has a way of making even the most simple dishes special and tasty.
Went for our anniversary and were delighted. Perfect
Well, the waitress was VERY INEXPERIENCED (to say the least)...won’t go into detail but she really should have had more training before actually serving customers. However, hats off to the Host!! We didn’t have to pay! He not only paid the appetizers and desserts, but the whole bill!! He even told us to go today and offered to pay bill as well!
So, I would go back. Thank you Martin Diaz
Wonderful outside deck, the service was friendly & efficient, the food very tasty.
Unexpected casual find. Outdoor venue. Comfortable. Wide range of menu choices, all very good. Priced well. Local gem.
Food was fresh and very good. Service was OK with several different servers helping out for the few diners that were there.
Good but still needs work.
We had 14 people for an informal birthday dinner. I asked the chef to prepare a special cake for us. It was extraordinary. Appetizers, dinner, cake, all made for a wonderful evening.
Over the past year, I've been to this restaurant several times for brunch, lunch and dinner. Off the beaten path from HWY 111, I keep returning for the welcoming staff, beautiful interior and scenic outdoor patio seating. The restaurant has recently changed its menu for the better. Included is a revamped bar menu with expanded cocktail and wine options. There was an obvious effort to bring an appealing selection of creative dishes including vegan options. The trendy Shrimp and Grits were a delight with Andouille Sausage and the June's Pot Roast was very tender with freshly pressed mashed potatoes as an excellent side to this classic comfort food. With all these recent improvements going for it, visitors should be advised that this is not a restaurant with fast or timely service. The reception and serving staff are very cordial and very efficient. However, for some ongoing reason at this restaurant, the food averages a 30 minute wait before making it to the tables. We waited almost 40 minutes and the restaurant was not busy at all. Consequently, this is a very accommodating restaurant if you want to linger with friends or draw out a romantic encounter with a loved one while enjoying the view. Expect great staff and food but be prepared for slower service.
June Hill's Table was a very nice restaurant. We loved the ambiance!
Had a group dinner of 13 to celebrate my birthday. They put us in an amazing semi-provate dining room without even having to ask. The service was absolutely excellent, and the grounds and property are beautiful. Try to catch the sunset!
Service not so great.
This is our “go to place” I love the tacos! Always a great meal and service. I just wish that they had not discontinued the bar chips.
Revamping existing menu!! Wider selection of good eats with great friends!
We ordered 2 California ommlets. I ordered mine as listed on the menu and my wife asked for Cheddar Cheese, no mushrooms or onions. I got mine with Swiss cheese and no mushrooms or onions. My wife got the cheddar cheese with mushrooms and onions. Not happy but didn't tell Luis the kitchen messed up. The kitchen needs to step up with special requests.
We were there for dinner the night before and the dinner was great. Our server John told us about the special mussels and they were outstanding but the two tables around us asked for mussels, after we spoke about how good they were and they were told " June Hill's Table ran out. I estimate there may have been 36-48 mussels served and then you were out.
Food was amazing. Jomathan was a wonderful host. Great night we ith perfect weather.
John was our waiter and did a great suggestion new items. The Mussels. Helping with a wine selection. The Earthquake Cabernet matched well with the Filet Mignon and the Apple Cobbler desert for my wife.
Crostina was fabulous. Patio dining was exceptional ambiance. Nice service...hard to provide until the season is in full swing.
Had a great meal. Sat outside and enjoyed a lovely view. Great service and menu should be changing soon. Enjoyed our cocktails and our dinner!
Great service m, love this place good selection nice view
We have been here twice and we really like the menu and the service is very good. We go here for the food but just as important to us is being able to enjoy the view. However, both times we have gone around happy hour time the staff has lowered the shade and obstructed the view. We asked and there were not customers requesting the lowering of the shade. Apparently, the staff did not like the sun coming at this time of the day and they were the ones who lowered the shade. We requested that the shade be raised and they obliged, however another staff member went by and lowered it again.
We may not be back if we cannot come and enjoy the view....
I took my friend to lunch on a Sunday. The menu was very limited for brunch and lunch. I had the Colorado omelet and it was tasty but not much on the plate. My friend's hamburger was good but again not huge. The restaurant was almost empty so you'd think the service would have been exceptional. Our server didn't appear to be very experienced. She didn't replenish my bottomless mimosa until I asked her to and then she just filled the glass with champagne and no orange juice. Water was not refilled until we asked. The servers didn't seem real interested in us. I wouldn't come back just because the menu is so limited and the food was not exceptional for the price.
Food was very good. Service was quite lacking. We were let alone for over 30 minutes after our main course was served. They forgot to bring my wife her second glass of wine until after she had finished her meal.
We will go back but.....
We got there for happy hour. Well drinks listed as $5. When our bill arrived, it said $5.00 plus $3.00 per drink. We both had well martinis and they explained that we called special drinks. I have never seen this before. Just say Happy Hour well drinks are $8 and then no one is annoyed. I ordered the short rib entree from the menu. It was tasty but tough and dry. Most short ribs fall apart easily. My partner had the short rib tacos and they were delicious. Served with a salad that had no dressing. The server said they they must have forgotten to bring it on the side. Twice we had to get up to find some service help. The setting is great and friendly. Just not really on their game and they weren't that busy. We will try the restaurant again but we vote with our feet.
Burgers were delicious and service was wonderful! We were visiting the new models at the Polo club.
I had the Millionaire burger at lunch time. I didn't need to eat the rest of the day.. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Fries were not as hot or crispy as I would have liked but still tasty. The waiter was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I love the ambiance. It is bright with lots of big windows looking out at a beautiful green area and mountains. I'm going to be a regular.
I made reservations at June Hill's Table for a group of 12 girls for my sister's bachelorette brunch. They sat us in a separate but beautiful room with windows looking out onto the lush scenery and gorgeous chandeliers hanging overhead. It was nice that they made an intimate space for us so we could talk comfortably among our larger crowd. The food was at a lower price point than I expected, especially considering the locally sourced ingredients. Everyone was happy with their food and ate it all up. The muffins they serve prior to the meal are so delicious! We had cranberry and banana nut. They even brought more when we finished the first round. Bottomless mimosas were only $6 per person, which is unheard of in the LA-area, where I'm from. Our waitstaff were kind and helpful, and even took our photo outside after we ate. I would definitely return to June Hill's Table if I vacationed in La Quinta again.
I would not recommend June Hill for Thursday dinner as they have residents social time from 4 to 6. When we arrived for an early dinner at 4:30, there were 50 to 75 folks enjoying themselves. This is great for the community; but, not for diners. It was very loud, folks where standing next to our table, drinking, talking very loudly. It was not an enjoyable experience for us. When I spoke to the GM the next day to voice my concern, he stated we were aware of the problem and where trying to work something out. He acted like OH WELL! I did not feel that was an attitude to have. There are to many other wonderful restaurants to dine at in our area. If they are going to have a residents get together fantastic, but do not open the facility for until after...not fair to diners.
We dine here often and have for well over a year. We love the place. Great pricing for champagne brunch and excellent service. Food is great, too. It's one of our regular lunch and brunch spots!
This is a nice place, suffering from uneven service. We returned after a very good experience during Restaurant Week. My husband chose June Hill's Table for his birthday (reserved and noted on Open Table). Our server was sweet, but very inexperienced and perhaps nervous. My husband's salad and entrée came together (I did not order a salad), so his main plate sat for quite awhile. I would have said something about this, but the kitchen staff who brought our plates put them down and literally ran from our table. Our waiter did not check for a long time, in spite of us trying to make eye contact. Another waiter eventually came to our table at our request and made a correction on my plate. By that time, my husband finished his salad and we were back on track to eat our entrees together. While this far from ruined our evening, it caused us to want to go elsewhere for an after dinner celebration. Unsure whether we will go back for dinner, but we might return for happy hour, which looks like a good find.
Great food, service, ambiance and prices. Short rib tacos are excellent as are the burgers, salads and fish and chips.
We had not eaten at June Hill's Table for quite sometime because the last time we ate there it was not good. Thought we would give it a try again. Still not great and we probably won't go back again...Sorry!
Yet another delicious meal! I had the braised rib tacos tonight and they were wonderful. We also had the Margherita Pizza and it was as great as always. Excellent and friendly service by Martin, Jenny & Laura. Fantastic desert scenery and gorgeous sunset views too. We love June Hill's Table!
June Hill's Table is a fantastic location, wonderful food at reasonable prices, outstanding early bird specials. The management and staff are great. Would recommend to everyone for any and all occasions.
I have to say that we were all very impressed at the efforts and strides the restaurant is trying to make! Service and food were all very good. It is long time over due and hope that this much needed improvement continues!
Thank you to the management team and staff who are on board now with making commitment to change! Keep up the good work.

I made a reservation for 7 pp and table was not ready when arrived even though it was not busy. It appeared that staff was short and special menu was very small. Table waiter was great but way too busy so service was slow. Food was really good, but one Pizza was undercooked and took 20 min to replace. We still love this place, but our guests did not get the same impression....just a mediocre Father's day.
This restaurant has the friendliest staff in the valley. Good food and a pleasant quiet atmosphere.
