   My dining experience was amazing! The service was very attentive and accommodating. Drinks can take a moment to make, but I can guarantee that the drinks are phenomenal. Be advised of the non alcoholic mocktails. I made the mistake of ordering it thinking it had alcohol! That’s my bad. The lavender lush with gin is delicious. Will be coming here for more special occasions. Thanks journeyman’s!

   The food was exquisite. Work of art from a very talented chef. The service was also excellent So happy to find this place in OC

   My husband and I very much enjoyed our dinner at Journeyman. It was an unusual experience in that it was a pre fix menu with four courses, but we had three choices for each dish. We both enjoyed each course except I don't eat dessert so my husband got my dessert as well as his. We both decided the octopus was the best dish of the evening. My husband did not know he liked octopus until this dinner. The main course, salmon, was so tender and flavorful. The waiter was very helpful in explaining the dishes and the chef visited us to talk about the dishes. All in all, an enjoyable evening. I would recommend Journeyman for a different and enjoyable food experience.

   Works of art from both the kitchen and the bar. Every course was unique and well crafted to eye and the mouth. This place is truly a gem for north county and I hope everyone takes an opportunity to enjoy their exquisite fare, and the amazing bar.

   My boyfriend and I just dined here for the first time and we were absolutely amazed with the creativity and quality of the food. The service was awesome and we are definitely going to return next time we’re in the area

   I rated this based on the price point of the restaurant ($330 for two people) - food was ok - some dishes tasty (octopus risotto) and others I didn’t want to finish because I found them to be too fishy tasting (ojah sushi, deep fried smelt amuse bouche) or too dry (brioche bread, sponge in chocolate dessert). The wine pairings and service were quite good which helped salvage the score, but overall we were hoping for a great fine dining experience in Orange County and journeyman’s food did not deliver. Also the ambiance - specifically the lighting - really needs to be addressed to fit a fine dining experience.

   I wanted to like this restaurant. We went based on a review in Orange Coast Magazine. We started with cocktails and followed with the 6-course prix fixe dinner with wine pairings. Cocktails and wine selection pairings were excellent as was the amuse bouche. The service was perfection. We were less impressed with the food. Although we appreciated the chef's thought behind each dish, we found several of them to be overly salty (octopus risotto, fish, venison) or sauced to the point where it was difficult to discern the true taste of any of the ingredients. With a final tab of over $500 (including tip), this is not an experience we care to repeat.

   Passionate and creative chefs. The food left me with all kinds of creative thoughts and memories. Such a humble and informative kitchen team. The bar, amazing mixology going on. Fermentation and pickling set off to another level of wonderful flavors. I think of this place almost everyday for the amazing culinary experience we had.

    While the location is unexpected, once inside Journeyman's Food + Drink you are enveloped in an elegant and serene atmosphere. The waitstaff is discreet, attentive and knowledgeable. The food is delicious, innovative and absolutely beautiful. Chef Zach Geerson's incredible attention to craftsmanship and detail make for an extraordinary dining experience. By far my very favorite restaurant I have eaten at in Orange County, CA
