Whether it's date night, late night, or your next event, JOTORO is your perfect place. We like to say JOTORO is where mariachi meets old school hip hop. Our bar serves up hand-shaken cocktails, craft-batched margaritas, and over 50 labels of premium tequilas.
JOTORO is a full-service, 220-seat eatery that feels like a neighborhood taco joint featuring a comfortable and rustic feel with one of a kind eclectic art designed exclusively for the space. We have created two outdoor covered patios that flank the prime corner of Sparkman Wharf, which is the perfect spot for people watching and dramatic views of the skyline at night.

Nice new addition to Sparkman Wharf and the Channelside disrtrict.
Food is overpriced and they’re dishonest about what a customer gets. The quest was cold. The guacamole was waterly with lime juice. The burrito certainly did not have the flavor of Korean bbq. It’s was shredded meat with little flavor. The service was poor. We didn’t even get acknowledged until I asked a server if we had one? This is Havlicek Taco everyone . Same owners - same food.
Wonderful food in a great atmosphere.
Food, service, price, atmosphere...Everything was great! Such a fun place for drinks and yummy food
This restaurant was the location for my and my husband's FIRST outing since COVID began. It felt so nice to get out and enjoy each others time and this restaurant did not disappoint. The food and service was amazing and I was especially impressed with our waitress who recommended some awesome virgin drinks for me since I am about nine months pregnant.
We will definitely be back!
The drinks at atmosphere were great! We also really enjoyed the queso, guac and salsa trio. Our entrees were subpar and flavors were drowned out with too much spice or weird ingredients. I’d recommend this as a happy hour place but not for dinner. Quality of food not on par with price.
Will probably be good at some point. Still going through their opening trials. Service was uncoordinated, food was lukewarm.
I'll come back in a few months after they get the bugs worked out. If it's still this poor I won't come back - but I'm hopeful they pull it together.
Can't recommend now, but check back with me in February.
For all the hype neither the food nor the drinks or anywhere near the quality I was expecting. On paper there seems to be Unique items however the finished product is low quality. I will not be going back again.
Service was a little slow, had to ask for drinks several times, server kept forgetting to bring them.
I was super excited to hear that a Michelin-starred chef was opening a restaurant in Tampa, but left very underwhelmed with the food, drinks and service. While I am hoping that my group's less than stellar experience on Saturday night can be attributed to JOTORO just opening, I did enjoy the space and vibe. It was very vibrant and bustling.
Also, I just do not believe that the margarita juices and mixes didn't come from a pre-packaged bottle.
Our dining experience at Jotoro was incredible! The food was delicious (maybe a touch pricey), and the drinks were inventive and yummy as well (particularly the margarita flight). The service was top notch and we will certainly dine here again.
Amazing food! Great art and scene. Well worth the wait
Great food and service - new fave Mexican!
Good food but not the best price. Definitely paying for the location.
Way overboard on the Ranchero sauce, I think that’s what the thick brown sauce was, that’s all you could taste. A drizzle would do but our entrees were soaked in it. The Guac and Queso were awesome and so was our service. The salsa was really sweet, sweet seemed to be the food theme. We’ll go back and give it another try and order something different. Great location!
Super great. Get the bacon !!
The BEST margaritas, chips and salsa, and tacos I’ve ever had! I highly recommend getting the Mi Casa margaritas on Tuesdays because they are $6. The salsa is to die for the chips are perf rly crispy and warm. The Baja fish tacos were unbelievable! Definitely get the rice and beans to accompany your meal.
Food was great. Music didn’t really match the vibe of the restaurant
The house margarita was delicious and I felt like I got a great deal with the two for one Taco Tuesday special. My husband's tequila old fashioned was excellent. The OG nachos filled us up but we had no complaints about that! We saved room for the pina colada sundae, and it was a delish combo of tropical flavors.
Terrific drinks and food and service
In an area where good Mexican food that can be very prevalent and competition is fierce I was a little disappointed after dining here. I really wanted to love it. Unfortunately me and others at the table were not thrilled with our drinks until we asked for a custom drink order which was much better. Food was average compared to the many restaurants between St Pete and Tampa. I will say the service was phenomenal and everyone was super nice! I hope they work on there drink and food menu or future diners
Sooooo freaking good. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. The food was phenomenal. Def get the brussel sprouts! The black bean sauce is amazing.
Nice addition to Tampa. Food was good and full of flavor. Prices are quite steep considering portion sizes. Pre-made drinks are too pricey and not strong enough. No issues paying $14-$18 for a margarita if it is fresh and hand poured/mixed. We will be back but definitely have some kinks to work out.
Ate inside on a rainy Monday night. Felt very sad inside with the plexi glass dividers between booths and masked servers.
It was top notch service and interesting and delicious menu. Also great to see Bre as manager---having known her for quite some time in the Channelside restaurant industry. Great bar set up too!
The drinks were excellent. The ambiance was cool and in a great location.
The quac was so bland! The steak burrito with the red sauce which was so overbearing, did not have a nice balance of flavors. I did like the chicken tacos.
Only good thing about this visit was our waitress. The drinks are lack luster, the spicy Margarita was too spicy to even drink. The food was overpriced for the quality. Unable to purchase tacos individually and if you want an additional taco you have to buy another plate.
excellent atmosphere, food and drinks. Will be back
The service and ambiance was great however, the food & drinks were sub-par unfortunately.
Food was so delicious! Food came out very fast and awesome/fun atmosphere. The drinks were excellent. I highly recommend the prickly pear margarita.
Excellent service. Drinks amazing. Quality good food!
By the water, check! Delicious bites, check! Tequila, check! Go CHECK it out :) ❤️👀
