   This is a really well designed beautiful space . I went with my daughters for the afternoon tea and have been once before for cocktails. I really enjoyed the cocktails and ambiance the first time however this time for tea I was really dissatisfied. I made sure to note our dietary restrictions and ensure they confirmed the reservation for 3. When we arrived it was clear they didn’t communicate because the table was only set for 2. Note that I called and emailed about this previously. We were also served our food then had to wait probably another 5-10 minutes for tea. There was meat on both of our tea towers so we weren’t able to enjoy all of the food. Even though I told the server that she’s a vegetarian there was still ham on her tower and chicken on mine. He never made an effort to swap out or give us something else instead. My daughter left still hungry and disappointed. It was fairly busy for the small space and maybe that’s why our server was nice but totally absent the entire time. The table was so small he didn’t leave the pot of tea on the table but then never came back to refill our glasses. I feel like I had to wave him every time for tea and for our check. For the price point I don’t think it was worth it. I would recommend coming here for the speakeasy instead. Live piano music was the best part of the tea !

   **Review for Jekyll Speakeasy, Tampa, FL** I recently visited Jekyll Speakeasy, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. The concept of a hidden bar with a password is intriguing, but we never even got to use the password. Upon arrival, we were met with an overwhelming amount of noise from a bagel shop next door, where patrons were screaming and yelling, making it nearly impossible for my girlfriend and me to hear each other. To add to the disappointment, we didn't receive the welcome drink that is often touted as part of the experience. Instead, we found ourselves having to ask multiple times just to place our drink and food orders. The atmosphere was further disrupted by the DJ, who seemed to be at the mercy of one overly enthusiastic patron. What should have been a classy speakeasy vibe quickly turned into a chaotic scene reminiscent of a Soul Train dance party, which was not what we were expecting. Overall, my visit to Jekyll Speakeasy was underwhelming, and I left feeling frustrated rather than entertained. Given the lack of ambiance and service, I doubt I will be returning.

   What a cool place!! Highly recommend! Hidden gem as they would say. Like a speakeasy. Drinks were way cool. Place people definitely have to try.

   I had family visiting and was so excited I was able to get us reservations at Jekyll. Our reservation was for 8:30 and we arrived at 8:20. We waited for 25min before someone came out at 8:45 to tell us “we’re clearing your table right now and we’ll seat you in a few minutes”. Another 15min goes by and we’ve been waiting for 40 minutes. The manager even came in and out several times and never said a word to us or offered us complimentary drinks while we wait. I finally said something to an employee when they came out of the speakeasy door stating how we’ve been waiting so long and we eventually got seated 45min after we arrived for our reservation. After we finally were escorted to our table, we saw that there there were FOUR other open 6 person tables. This place literally just did not want to seat us, they were not even busy!! It was embarrassing to say the least that I made this reservation for our out of state guests just to have them wait for absolutely no reason and not even get any sort of apology from any of the workers or management. By the time we ordered and got our drinks it was an hour after our reservation time. Again, no apology or excuse as there were several other open tables so it’s not like we were waiting for the party before us to leave. For those contemplating whether or not to go to Jekyll, just don’t. They are so pretentious and don’t care about the guest experience unless you look like you have millions of dollars. I’ve never been to a more poorly run establishment. If you’re looking for a speakeasy in Tampa, head to Gin Joint it is such a better experience with management who actually cares.

   This was my second visit and my husband’s first. I was excited to take him! The drinks are amazing and the presentations are definitely photo/video worthy. The food is limited-it’s not meant to be a dinner restaurant which is fine. We had popcorn shrimp & the tuna capparchio (i don’t remember hos to spell it) it was great. Only downside was the service once we were seated. Multiple times both my liquor drink and water glass were empty at the same time. We had to wave the server-who was busy-down to ask for refills and the next bar drink. As much as you pay for drinks-they should want to check in, sell you the next…This wasn’t an over-served issue. It was our first stop, 2 drinks each. It was disappointing.

   Great experience. We love Florida and this gem in Hyde Park did not disappoint. Charming bagel cafe by day but an amazing speakeasy experience after you make your way through the door to the private, dimly lit, well decorated speakeasy bar. The whole theme was really cool and each drink has a story. When in the Tampa area this is a must do for an amazing evening. Drinks were great, and we had some small bites to share including the fondue. High recommend that.

   We went to the Alice and Wonderland tea service and attended the second seating which felt unorganized overall. The food quality was not worth the $60 set price and they ran out of items from the morning service. Good vibe and drinks, but overall was disappointment in experience.

   We attended the Alice in Wonderland themed tea. Aesthetically it was delightful. But there seemed to be a lack of organization about who was serving our table and we had to repeat our requests to multiple servers. The savory food was outstanding but the plate was heavily balanced toward sweets and we all got to a point we couldn't eat any more sweets and wished we had more savory selections. The trays did not all contain the same things (did not match the menu) and we were disappointed that rice crispies made their way into a $60/pp high tea service. The servers were all dressed in themed attire and we loved the mad hatter and rabbit in particular. Overall, would try Jekyll again for a dinner since the savory bites were so good and the ambiance was lovely.
