Wonderful. Relaxed. Casual!
Ladies get together
Beautiful venue and excellent service.
Great ambience and service. However the portions are so tiny that driving away we were looking for a place to eat. That said the food was delicious.
We went for the LA restaurant week and the food was terrible. The endives salad came with some kind of crunchy and hard topping, needed lots of effort to eat. The risotto texture was like oatmeal, the chef must have cooked the heck out of it. The fish skin from the snapper dish was soggy, my husband found 2 fish bones in his fish. The skirt steak was extremely chewy, you couldn't even cut it. It came with an extremely spicy sauce. I had skirt steak several times before and this is not a skirt steak, this is some kind of cheap cut from the beef. The only item that saved the dinner was the dessert. Chocolate lava cake with ice cream.
In addition to the bad food, my dirty martini was $24. Valet service with validation was $20. Will not go back to this restaurant again. I had many dinners at other Jean Georges restaurants in New York and they're fabulous. This LA restaurant is an insult to the Jean Georges brand.
I missed my 945pm reservation. Made it there by 10pm! Kitchen was closing but everyone was so gracious & courteous. Still was able to accommodated us. So very thankful. Food was amazingly delicious. Everyone from valet, concierge & entire Jean George operation went above & beyond! Thank you so much XO
Food was so bad. Rissoto was very very salty I can not eat any of rice part. Beef on top of pepper was so spices can not eatable. I wasn't thinking this is good restaurant. I did my coat check in she just take and give to me not help me to put on my coat. This is 5stars hotels I don't think service was.
One of our favorite JG establishments.
Always delicious with outstanding service
Service was excellent. We were casually dressed but I did notice most men wore jackets. The food was really delicious and surprisingly filling. We’ll probably go back for dineLA so we can try their “greatest hits”!
Great place for special occasion or every day lunch/dinner!
Great meal and service. Sommelier extremely helpful and spot-on.
Not what we expected from all the hype. Expensive yes but the food is only okay. Beautiful space, solid service. Can’t imagine why we would ever go back. Disappointing.
Staff is wonderful
Food is excellent
Parking is too expensive
Thank you JG for making our NYE both thoroughly enjoyable & memorable. Special mention to Bryan, our amazing waiter! A beautiful table of 8 for 2 sets of family friends who met up halfway across the globe ( between the UK & Australia). Highly recommend restaurant for an occasion.
We specifically stayed at the Waldorf BH to dine at Jean-George. We had previously dined at his restaurant in Paris and it was truly spectacular. This time, sorry to say nothing really stood out to support the price. I am more than happy to spend $700 or more for dinner for two when it's truly off the charts. This was a reasonably ordinary culinary experience. The ribeye was cooked to perfection but that's to be expected. If it weren't, that would be a disaster. The only problem was that there wasn't anything from a flavor perspective that was really special. The caviar egg yolk thing-meh. The tuna tartare was the highlight but even that wasn't amazing. We ordered the ribeye and the lobster. They split them for us and that was nice. Service was exceptional as one would expect. Nothing really wrong here, just not worth the big dollars and was somewhat of a disappointment as we were hoping for awesome.
Just what I expect from a leading restaurant in Los Angeles.
As always, the restaurant has creative takes on their offerings. The truffle pizza and lobster burger were both amazing!
What a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday. We both of our birthdays in December, they compete with Christmas. JG is so special.
Everyone, please, enjoy this special time of year.
Service and food was great! Will definitely visit again.
Service was not as expected from the main host and several of the head waiters. The bus staff were wonderful. I ordered my steak medium. It came very well done.
Host made me wait to be seated to check that my table was ready. Although the restaurant was at 40 percent capacity at the very most. Then when seated. My table was the only table not ready.
A bit odd. The hostess at the end apologized and offered me a card to come back again. I won’t.
The food and service are outstanding. It is a pleasant change of pace also to be able to
have a conversation with your friends at the table without having to be basically yelling
at each other in order to hear what the person sitting across from you is saying.
A perfect setting all around.
The service was impeccable and the food was fantastic. I love this place.
Overall very pleasant experience
From start to finish a lovely experience. We were celebrating a birthday and we were not disappointed.
Worth the long drive on a Friday afternoon from Pasadena to Beverly Hills - this is my second visit and am looking forward to returning to the quality, service and delivery of this fine dining experience.
Beautiful place! The food was good. Great energy and ambiance. Our waitress was very informative and courteous. The only thing that I did not like was the fact that our waitress kept pushing us to order more food. She made us a bit uncomfortable. But I would go back. Nice classy restaurant!
Really enjoy the food and service
Perfect restaurant to celebrate our anniversary
Excellent attentive staff, top to bottom. My issue is that for the price ($200ish a person), the food should be Le Bernardin/Solage/Marea level original, fresh, inventive, a joy to eat. The salmon was adequate, the crispy sushi had fried rice cubes that were bland and chewy... it was good, but not great. Just as his NY restaurant, too. The wine offerings were fabulous, though. I would come back for the roof and the wine list.
We were very surprised when the party sitting at the next table brought their mid-sized dog who was not a service dog or particularly well trained. The dog was jumping on the chairs, pacing around the table and pawing at the sides of the chairs. At least it wasn't barking but not exactly the type of experience anticipated at a fine dining restauarant.
Food was good but setvice was a disgrace for a Jean Georges. Wow. Took forever, apps came with main course, no refills on drinks, plates cleared at will. $600 for brunch and that service. No thanks.
JG at the Beverly Hills Waldorf is certainly NOT the same restaurant as JG in New York! Beautiful room but the service is clumsy and the food is simply mediocre at best. Too bad that the LA offering doesn't come close to other locations.
If you want to spend a lot of money sitting in a very nice room OK, but don't go there for the food or service!
Our waiter was amazing. He personally escorted us to the roof top with our cocktails.
The service, the food, the decor; All fantastic.
My husband and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It could not have been more wonderful.
Thanksgiving brunch was exceptional!
A good experience to have Thanksgiving lunch
The service failed in a number of levels. The restaurant was half empty, but it took 15 minutes for the server to show up. We ordered caviar. Ten minutes later the server dropped the amuse on the table — a single plate for six people, and didn’t tell us what it was. When we asked him, he seemed irked and said that it was a cheese puff — period. The food was taking a while, and we asked for bread. They dropped off the bread — also with no explanation as to the different kinds. When they finally brought the caviar, no explanation for the toast choices. Finally I asked the server to stop dropping dishes without explanation and our unpleasant server could not bring himself to apologize or step it up. The food was OK — crab dumplings were too fishy. Broth with Maine lobster was very salty. We love the Jean Georges in New York — exquisite service and food. The Beverly Hills restaurant pales in comparison.
Amazing. Great food and service. Would recommend to all.
