We visited Jean-Georges during Dine LA week and were not disappointed. The service, food and ambiance were impeccable. Starting from the broccoli and kale salad and corn soup and finishing with the salted caramel sundae and warm chocolate cake, everything we had was incredibly delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure all our needs were met. We will definitely be returning.

I had dinner with a group of friends and it took literally an hour to serve the food. Staff was friendly but we lost our appetites by the time dinner was served!!!! Very disappointing since it was not busy at all!! Then went to the rooftop to have desert; ohhh listen to this... for almost 15 minutes nobody came to out table to take our orders!!

WILL NOT GO BACK THERE ANYMORE!!

Gorgeous space. Great service. Food just OK. Chef J-G needs to visit and up their game. It was empty on a Friday night. Mediocre food is a poorly kept secret

The evening was puzzling all the way around. We have eaten at, and enjoyed, Jean-Georges in New York. This version was definitely subpar. The room and ambience are lovely, but we ate outside, and the street noise was intrusive. We chose to eat outside because when we arrived, the restaurant had a live pianist/vocalist who was fine - just really loud. Of course, we had no idea that the music would be piped so loudly outside - probably to mask the street noise.
But where we were really disappointed was with the food. The portions were massive (like Cheesecake Factory massive) and the dishes were not particularly well executed. My Wagyu steak was done perfectly and was tender, but the blackening exterior was overpowering and had no nuance to it. We ordered a cauliflower dish that was massive and totally over-cooked. I could go on and on, but one gets the picture.
The service was also not great. Forgot to bring my wife a fork and I had to wave my arm as if I were flagging down a cab at 5th Avenue.
All around a huge disappointment, particularly at the price.

This restaurant has it all. The food is so delicious, the service, and the atmosphere is all beyond exceptional! The servers and staff that waited on us were excellent, very accommodating and so friendly! This is our second year back to the hotel to stay and celebrate my son’s birthday. They exceeded our expectations. Thank you for everything! We will be back!

I think $100 for two salads with grilled chicken added to them, and one tea is excessive. My office is on South Beverly Drive and I am familiar with fine dining in luxury hotels, but really....$100 for two salads with protein added to them and one tea????

Went for the Dine LA lunch. Started well in an elegant dining space and courteous service. Appetizers, salmon entree and desserts were tops. Had an issue with the Wagyu steak entree—meat was tough to chew even after additional cooking from medium rare to the medium we ordered. Was told that’s the way it’s supposed to be, but Wagyu meat is a high fat content meat and should be as soft as butter. Manager offered us 10% off the bill which didn’t meaningfully compensate for a lousy main course. Our server Michael was top notch.

I've been to Jena Georges in New York, but this was my first visit to the Beverly Hills venue. I went during DineLA week, and I and the rest of my party enjoyed the special DineLA menu, and the wonderful, enjoyable attention that was paid to us. The first course was a combination of sea urchin and caviar, and when I remarked to one of the other diners that it should be enjoyed with chop sticks, the next thing I knew was we all had chopsticks! Although we brought our own wine - and incurred a hefty corkage fee of $65 - they served us the wine pairings for two of the courses, for which the sommelier thought our heady, Bordeaux style wine was not quite right. That was a particularly thoughtful and generous thing to do. Finally, a shout out to our waiter, Bryan, who contributed greatly to our enjoyment of the evening!

Service has not improved. Inattentive. At first class restaurants you don’t have to waive your arms to get the attention of someone- anyone be it a waiter, captain, manager or busboy- to get a water refill. Food is not interesting. Except for the great truffle pizza. Why would I recommend this place? Quiet enough for a business meal or a date when you don’t want noise to drown out conversation. And the pizza.

The lobster “curry” was bland and watery— nothing like curry. The rest of the dishes were varied, none exceptional. One glass of wine each and it came to 200/person. I strongly advise against this ripoff restaurant.

Silly to expect anything less then perfectly delicious, inviting but innovative food from JG. A pleasant experience all around from cocktails to service to cuisine. We were able to make a last minute reservation for the outside area, it was secluded but we loved it. Still beautifully decorated, comfortable and warm. Won't disappoint.

The ambience and the food was superb. What really put it over the top was the service. Really good service, starting with the hostess who counseled me on table selections in a very sweet way. I I am a foodie and do not repeat very often because of the numerous options in LA. That said, I will definitely repeat.

Is Jean-Georges himself still connected to this outpost? Or has this become a franchise? It sure seems like the latter - the food was good, but not sublime, as one who frequents J-G in NY would expect. But the service has fallen to a new low (in a reastaurant which has faced declining service over this past year). The matre d’ did not even pretend to be gracious, the wait staff had to be flagged down to get service. Don’t expect to get your water glass refilled without first waiving your hands in the air, signaling a need for help. All in all, a huge disappointment with a huge bill. And, by the way, don’t let them sit you in a curved banquet where there is a huge piece of rigid wood under the seat cushion designed to inflict discomfort.

As part of my brunch I ordered: eggs over-hard with hash brown. The eggs were burnt black! Can you believe that?! And the hash brown was what they called: Smash brown, which was a tiny amount of mashed potatoes encapsulated in a deep fried dough, which was dark brown!! I did not eat any of it. Paid for it and left.

I have dined there multiple times. The first few, after Jean-Georges just opened, were excellent. On par with Jean-Georges in NY.

Now service is slack but acceptable, but the food has suffered. It is due to the local chef. He is mixing ingredients that step all over each other like urchin and crunchy shoestring potatoes. The subtle, creamy texture of the uni is completely lost in the big, spiky crunch of the potato as is the uni’s taste. In other dishes warm spices kill the other ingredients, along with Jean-Georges’ premium wine list. Why select an expensive wine only to have it destroyed by a spicy hot steak?

This chef has to go. I see no reason to return while he’s there. Such a disappointment.
