Absolutely wonderful service and the food tasting experience was exquisite!
An incredible birthday celebration.
The food and the service were amazing. Definitely in my top 3 of tastings. The food was beautiful. Some dishes were delicate, some dishes were heartier and it was all sumptuous and delicious. Was it expensive? Of course, but a true culinary experience and so worth it for a special occasion.
Came for the 8 course tasting dinner for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. The "toasted yolk" was to die for. Food, service, atmosphere...EVERYTHING was exceptional. Looking forward to coming back.
We love the ambiance and service, the prix fixe menu is our favorite in the city . It changes monthly so it’s fun to go . we take out of town guests or go just the 2 of use for a nice evening out. My favorite wait staff always come over to say hello and we enjoy the relaxed yet luxe atmosphere
Kudos to everyone on the team that creates Jean-Georges Beverly Hills Tasting Experience. For this nerdy solo diner, the printed personalized menu was just one example of tailored hospitality that let me feel like I belong, even as a traveler.
Persian cucumbers pickled in a warming, bright vinaigrette prepared my palate for the egg toast caviar. Bravely, I followed Nick’s suggestion that it could be picked up and eaten like the grilled cheese sandwich that it incomparably transcends; I didn’t make a mess! Billecourt-Salmon JGV champagne (with a touch of extra sugar in the dosage) was the perfect accompaniment. The shrimp course is a delightful new adventure: atop truly silky cannellini beans arranged around a luxurious leek emulsion, each bite had its own intermezzo of exquisitely distinct chanterelles or leek—an understated, unfussy masterpiece. French Chardonnay is a delightfully fresh pairing. Then the Wagyu with both hibiscus mustard and hibiscus powder enabled this experimentalist to conduct a simple difference-mapping by comparing how the single-ingredient powder’s interaction with the beef contrasted with the exquisitely balanced condiment—fun gastronomic science. (I also tried both with the tiny potato, and the chive with the beef and each tiny tasty vegetable. Tempranillo was perfectly on point.
The panna cotta with rosemary sorbet, passito di Pantelleria, and mignardises each deserve their own essay—but this is already too wordy.
Beautiful dinner, from the personalized menu, to the wine selection and the amazing food. Worth it! And loved it.
Ok but you’re better off at Providence or another more traditional tasting menu. For both menus they count the amuse buse as a course which I’ve never seen ever. Same with the after desert snacks so just know that the 6 course is really a 4 and the 8 is really a 6.
The caviar egg is the standout, otherwise everything is just ho hum. Overcooked fish which at this price point really shouldn’t happen. The wine markup is higher than comparable restaurants and the cocktails are $26 which would be fine if they weren’t mediocre. The upside is the space is large so it’ll probably remain easy to get last minute. reservations.
Disappointing. I normally hate writing reviews but this was not what we expected. Our 6th dish was a can't dish.. Yes Candy..
Excellent service. Delicious 8 course menu. Highly recommend for special occasion.
Very expensive but worth every penny. a fabulous meal.
Amazing food. Each dish was unique in its own way, full of flavor. Definitely will be full and satisfied in the end.
2nd time and even more disappointing.
Great service and ambiance, food was OK not to the level We expected from a place like this.
Definitely not worth the price, overpriced and mediocre food. Advertised as Jean-George being on-site but he seemed to be paying attention to paid and/or known media and never even acknowledged. Very disappointing.
The food was mediocre. Lots of odd temperatures on dishes….. and just not up to normal JG standards.
Beautiful setting. Excellent service. Very good dishes. Some excellent, some average. Would recommend for the experience.
Had a very special occasion with a very special woman and the Staff at JG of WA , helped make a a beautiful night a memory that will last forever ! The food was art made edible and the staff was amazing in every way! Amazing ! Certainly would recommend .
The location, decor, and ambience is exceptional. It was my first time at this location so I wasn’t aware with the seating. Prior to being sat I could hear a gentleman talking obnoxiously loud to his date and as bad luck would have it we were seated next to them. I tried to get a different table l, but sadly they didn’t move us. The rest of the time I felt like I was on a bad date with the couple next to us. The guy was trying to impress the wanna be actress by name dropping the whole time. When I saw the check was dropped off I was thrilled at thinking they would be leaving, but they say there for another hour just loudly talking. Beyond annoying.
We chose the 8-course meal. It was good, but the timing was off at times and one of my dishes was missing some of the components as my husband’s dish so they quickly took mine back to the kitchen to add the missing toppings. Overall, I would rate it as 4-star dining. Definitely room to grow and improve in terms of food, plating, and making sure everything thing leaves the kitchen 100%.
an amazing experience: breathtaking dishes delivered with elegant efficiency
Ambience is nice, but inferior food quality and over salty flavor. It is over-priced for the food quality provided.
Service was excellent from when we walked in. Food was underwhelming and there was always more to be desired.
Had a great time celebrating my anniversary!
Fabulous tasting menu. Phenomenal service. A fun night out, unique experience, would be a great date night.
Everything was amiss from the second we were seated. The booth we were seated in had the light burnt out right behind us and a shelf FULL of dust. Not a good start. Next, we quickly realized the six course offering was really a four course and the eight course actually six. This is straight scammery. In NO other Jean George or any true five star dining do they include the Amouse Bouche and the tiny after dessert petite fours as a “course”. These are typically ALWAYS “compliments of the chef” for spending 600+ on dinner. Not here. They include these as a “course”. To add insult to injury, our server offered us these tiny treats to go, and we agreed. We got home and he gave us FOUR TINY COOKIES. I’m talking the size of a dime and quarter. So really only one of us got the eighth course. Not both of us. This is just wrong on so many levels. The atmosphere is a huge miss. The service was underwhelming and certainly not to standard of what would be a five star or Michelin star restaurant. The food was subpar, but both the steak and Medai sashimi were insanely gristly. I would never ever recommend this to anyone. I feel entirely ripped off and disappointed as we LOVE all other Jean George restaurants around the world. Perhaps it was an off night, but the simple fact or scamming people based on number of courses was enough for me to never trust this restaurant again.
Our server bill was fabulous. The food was excellent as always. Will be coming back again soon for another special celebration.
It was a birthday celebration.
From the moment I walked in, to the end of my culinary journey...spectacular attention to detail and perspective. Chef Allen was the epitome of a perfect host and stuff that foodie dreams are made of.
Great experience for an anniversary dinner.
As a commandeur of the chaines des rotisseurs I could not be more overwhelmed by the gastronomic excellence. There wine pairings complemented our 8 course tasting menu and flavors ranged from mild to pungent to mellifluous Balance of tastes to please the palate
My guests were equally magnanimous in their pleasure reactions to food and service
Best service and great tasting delights. My only reason for maybe not coming back is the bill. Im used to paying marked up wine, but I was not expecting an $80 bottle to be marked up so high... and since I never got an itemized bill I am not sure if tip was included or not. (I did tip well over 25% because the staff was so wonderful.) so overall a great experience, but might have to be one & done.
Love the place! The food was amazing. The ambiance was great. The wine pairing made it special.
Absolutely wonderful and top notch. We had a beautiful evening.
well everything was nice except it is first time in my life I spent $566.000 for dinner for two 8 courses and was still hungry !! I miss regular menu more filling
LOVED EVERYTHING, ESPECIALLY THE PERSONALIZED MENU!
Thank you for making the experience wonderful. I will say one think That table at the entry to the kitchen was noisy. Would sit there again.
Excellent tasting menu, 7 excellent dishes, a little disappointed about the 8th dish of cookies.
Excellent service! Incredible 8 course tasting menu. They printed our name on the menu without asking!
Outstanding dinner. I had some temporary extreme dietary restrictions and the chef altered most of the dishes to meet my needs. I was extremely impressed and the altered dishes were extremely tasty as well.
We had a fabulous brunch on a beautiful, but quiet outdoor terrace. Carlos, Fermin, and Sergio took great care of our party. Their service was excellent, timely, and thoughtful. The food was exquisite and plentiful. I would highly recommend JG for an event.
