After having not been there for a really long time, this is the second time I have gone to Jaxx in a month. The first time I had halibut, it was cooked perfectly, but I really would’ve liked a nice sauce with it. My friends had the lobster roll… They said it was disappointing. The oysters were delicious. The more recent visit we had the Ono special, it was cooked perfectly, but the sides were not very hot. The wedge salad is yummy. Staff is good. My only complaint was that the entrées seemed to take a long time to come out.

We were seated promptly for our 7:00 pm reservation by a very pleasant hostess. Vegetable risotto with added crab cake was a perfect portion serving and very flavorful. Seafood chowder was generous portion and very good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their selections and service was great. Celebrating a birthday and a dessert complete with candle was brought out with flair. Pleasant dining experience.

We like Jax a lot however we were very disappointed that with a 6:45 reservation we still couldn’t have the special fish dish cause they ran out. Also we wanted another glass of the wine we got a bottle of and they also had no more of that wine either

My husband and I tried all the courses, the fresh oysters were delicious, cocktails were poured generously. For dinner we had the salmon and the halibut. Prepared perfectly. For desert, we had the butterscotch pudding and blueberry desert. We will be back!

We had a gathering of 4 friends to celebrate their birthday and wanted to find a restaurant that served the finest fish and central to all attending. I was able to find Jax Fish House & OysterBar and was NOT DISAPPOINTED! We certainly plan on coming back again. The service, food and management were dynamic. Thank you for having such a great place for use to eat fine food and celebrate.

Took forever for server to approach us. And she wasn’t attentive at all our glasses were empty for a while. 90% of our food came cold over all bad experience we were sad about that as we heard it was great. But sadly it was not. We won’t be back

Great night at Jax! The rooftop patio was the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset while dining on the outstanding selection of oysters. The salmon was also delicious.

No better place to exercise our option to acknowledge Natl. Oyster Day than at Jax's (when you live in the middle of the country). Those CrackerJack oysters are genuinely tasty, and even more so at the $2 celebration price. Alexandria supported or more relaxed pace for the entire meal (following ample bivalve appetizers), including our effort to better enhance the somewhat "odd" pasta w/ ground shrimp entre, with the addition of a 1/4 lb. of the "much larger" peel-and-eat variety. Much "yummier"! So good to have the Jax at Glendale in our dining rotation, oyster days or otherwise.

Jax is a regular destination. The fish is always outstanding, as is the service. This time they took the extra step. We had reserved outside. They have to outside venues in the restaurant - one of which is up stairs. Both my wife and I are handicapped and have difficulty climbing stairs. The downstairs area was full. The staff quickly found a table inside for us. We had a fabulous evening.

We were outside in front so it was more quiet than inside would probably be, great for conversation. The food was delicious - oysters on the half shell at an anniversary price was the thing to enjoy and we did! They have outstanding entrees and the key lime pie is delectable!

Our entire experience was absolutely great! Calmari was tender, gumbo spicy and the fish sandwich was delicious. Fast and friendly service, too.

A really enjoyable dining experience! Brian and the other supporting service staff were refreshingly engaging and knowledgeable (compared to some of their "peers" in other eatery establishments), and the kitchen folk's food prep was spot on, for both taste and presentation. Really appreciate, too, ESPECIALLY nowadays, the Jax tipping philosophy - - "All gratuities are shared by all employees." And, P.S. ... those "house" CrackerJack oysters are really delicious!

One of our favs. Love sitting at the well appointed bar. Service is always great with Ryan, Ben, Ashley and Colleen. Seafood Chowder and the Gumbo are always a great hit. They consistently have a rotation on new oysters to choose from…add a martini (or two) and it is a great date night spot.

I’ve been to Jax in n several occasions. This time I was not impressed. The oysters had no juice and looked liked they had been sitting out. We didn’t even eat them. They came out after our food by about 20 min. The service was just ok.

All of our entrees were elegant and delicious! The salmon was succulent and served on very fresh pea pods on top of a light dill sauce. The lobster roll was among the best we have ever had and the mussels never disappoint. Our shared finale of the brûlée style key lime was outstanding. Thank you Jax!

We went during happy hour, so our peel and eat shrimp and drinks were a great value. The service was great, the shrimp were great. Our drinks weren't that great. We got the strawberry lemonade, which is made with strawberry infused vodka, but you couldn't even tell there was alcohol in the drinks. There was a singer who started to sing and play guitar right as we were leaving. That would have been great to have her start earlier. She sounded good.
