We don't take ourselves too seriously at Jax Fish House. Two things we do take seriously? The freshness and sustainability of our seafood. You know fresh fish when you see, smell, and taste it-and thanks to modern delivery technology, we bring in that freshy-fresh seven days a week. Sustainability is a little more complicated. Not all commercial fisheries are created equal. That's why we work closely with our suppliers and science-based organizations to ensure that every single thing we serve is responsibly sourced. We consider the stocks of the species we source to prevent overfishing and we work with suppliers who harvest in ways that have minimal impacts on marine environments.

    Outstanding food. Go for the scallops! Sadly our table was all the way in the back, almost in the kitchen…. which killed the ambiance. Your experience will probably be better than mine.

    An outdoor table at Jax is always fun enjoying great food and service while watching the world go by. Gray, our server was delightful and highly attentive! We had a lovely evening.

    Food was amazing! Had oysters, French fries, scallops, ahi tuna! So good! Two top in the bar area and along the wall are the best, otherwise you’re pretty much eating with your neighbors! Not much room in that place. That’s the only downfall

    Our waiter was out of his depth. He could not open a bottle of wine correctly. Our drinks took forever. What’s more worrying was management was not there to back him up. The team did not look well trained.

    The crab cake, oysters, scallops and tuna were perfect 10 out of 10. Fabulous martini. It’s a go but get a reservation or you will be waiting a long time for seating.

    As always Jax is great! Nothing better than starting with fresh oysters! The service was wonderful and the entrees did not disappoint! A must go to when in Boulder.
