   The food, drinks and service was great. It was really really loud with music thumping and hearing other tables’ conversations bouncing off the walls. It would have been much more enjoyable if it wasn’t quite so loud.

   Went in for a reservation at 8 pm to what felt like a night club. Cigarette smoke and cigar smoke everywhere and even at the bar. We were told that we were checked in and to wait for a text. Text didn’t come until 30 minutes later for our RESERVATION! absolutely ridiculous. We went to Lucrezia next door and it was way better and had amazing food. I won’t be returning to Javier’s La Jolla in the future.

   Overall, it was a good experience. The music was loud. The food was good. The service was good really can’t complain.

   Javier’s is always too loud. I wish they would turn down the volume 25%

   Welp if you can’t eat seafood do tread lightly.. in which I should have had to pop that purple pill a few hours after .. other than that everything was pretty much spot on .. GRAP::: parking is TUFF.. good luck if you’re able lift or uber.

    Service sucked. Waitress barely checked on us but then tried to clear our table while we were still eating. The iced tea was completely watered down and not at all worth the $5 they charged. The chicken dish I usually get was just as good as always. The stuffed peppers were salty but they weren’t mine so I just focused on my chicken. The guy who refills water was super attentive, our server could learn a thing or two from him.
