   We went for dinner on Mother’s Day. We got there 30 mins. early & it took us the whole 30 mins. just to check in. The hostess stand was total chaos. No was taking charge & people were pushing & shoving & taking cuts in line. 2 gentleman almost got in a fight. It was obvious the hostesses were not the least bit happy. Somebody needed to be in charge of just check-ins. Too many people in such a small space. Once we got seated our server was very pleasant but our food was so over done. The shredded beef for my taco & enchilada was so over cooked. I could barely eat it. We dine here often & this time was such a disappointment. I would have returned my food if things weren’t so hectic for the staff but instead I just didn’t eat it. For the prices, my food should have been done to perfection. I think we will stay away… too many other Mexican food restaurants we can dine at.

   Made a reservation for Mothers Day at 5pm. We didn’t get seated until 6pm. Obnoxiously loud music, but the food is always great. We order the ceviche, steak salad, and some fish dish that I can’t recall that we’ve ordered before and all were great.

   Everything was great except having to wait 45 minutes to be seated.

   Javiers has become our favorite San Diego area restaurant! Go early or ensure you have a reservation! It is a very popular place!

   Food was outstanding. Service was great server was very attentive and asked several times if everything was ok or needed anything.

    Food is good but not worth the price, I wouldn’t consider this child friendly, Music is too loud it makes it hard to be able to socialize while eating. Servers are nice. Overall if you just want some mexican food I would go somewhere else.
