Food was amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious. Service was over and beyond. Our waitperson walked us to the door when we were done. Never saw that before. Can hardly wait to go back.

An old favorite - hadn't been in years. Was mostly happy with a couple of complaints - the value for the dollar was disappointing: Bread at $6 should at least be warmed and/or served with special butter. The Duck Fried Rice was made using way too much vinegar and too small a portion for $18. Our server Daniel was great, the cocktails, pork chop, fries, ambiance, etc. all still intact!

The food was terrific. I had their pot roast which is a specialty and great. My wife had small plates and also great. The place is a little dark and the noise level is a little high. We will go back but only if we can sit outside

Easter dinner was phenomenal. One dish was too tough for my taste and was replaced for me with only the most positive attitude. We had , between 3 of us, 9 different dishes, and all were superb. Food, service, ambiance…all reasons this restaurant should be on everyone’s top 5 in Los Angeles list. For me, I put it at number one!

Halibut and the carrot cake were outstanding. Service was slow - my glass of white wine came towards the end of my main course, so that was disappointing and our cappuccino arrived when I took the last bite of the carrot cake. :(

I had the most delicious halibut, and my friend had the incredible pot roast. Our server was amazing and very attentive. The restaurant is beautiful. It’s a very peaceful and lovely place to eat and the food is amazing. This restaurant has always been great.

Took my husband here for his birthday and we were both sadly disappointed in the quality of food considering the standards of Jar. I had been a previous time with a friend over the holidays and raved about every dish. On his birthday dinner though about 3/5 dishes were bland with little flavor but still yielded a very high price point. The broccoli in particular was $18 and literally tasted like it was steamed with no salt. When I inquired with the server on that particular dish he just commented that the preparation was “very simple” instead of offering to comp it or replace it. Also on both occasions I had ordered their bread and butter service and it never came out. For living about 40 min away from this restaurant, I probably won’t dine here again :(

First time back in about 5 years. Started off with the crab stuffed deviled eggs. Had a very fishy taste. My wife had the pot roast which she loved. I had the Kansas City Strip which was pretty good. Sides did the dinner in. We had pea tendrils. Absolutely tasteless. We also had the duck fried rice. In the past was pretty damm good. Yesterday, rice was wet, could not locate any duck, a very tart taste. Had a bottle of South African Can which was amazing. What saved the night - our server Kevin. Great job.

The space is a new classic LA interior/ love everything about that- my biggest complaint is that we felt a bit rushed by our server. We had a later evening reservation and there were plenty of free tables, so the pressure to order snd clear the table seemed unwarranted and colored the evening in a negative way . Please tell the staff to slow down and let people enjoy a night out - thx!!

I went to Jar for the first time yesterday. Our party of 2 was seated right on time! We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer and the eggs were delicious. For dinner I had the pork chop and my guest had a steak. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious! We ordered three side dishes to share. That was too many but I was glad to have tasted the creamed corn and creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Each dish was very yummy. The menu really provides something for everyone. I have family members who need to eat gluten free meals, others who keep kosher and some who are dieting. I now know that Jar is a restaurant that I can take everybody for an excellent meal.
