   The food was good but expensive. We knew that going in. We were the first in at 5:00pm. We chose a Thursday so as not to be busy. There were many tables available but they chose to seat us on the isle way in a broken booth in the high traffic area. There were many much better places we could have been seated. We were very close to the grill where the exhaust fans over the grill created a breeze at our table. If we go again and that’s a big IF, we will request a table away from the grill and out of traffic. Maybe we should have been a little more demanding but I think the restaurant should have been a little more respectful.it was hard for one of our party to get in a booth.

   Place has not changed in 30 years. And that’s a good thing. Kind of a dive bar vibe but energetic and cool. Very IU oriented! Servers were awesome and busy! Food was delicious, delightful, delectable ! Friends had steak… I tried it, was tender and buttery! I had the stuffed peppers…. Love ‘em! A bit $$$ but do us everything now days. Go!

   Great food. Good service. Ask for a table, though, as the booth backs are shared by folks on both sides, so lots of movement.

    Outstanding meal. The steak was like butter in my mouth, so juicy. No wonder it is one of the most favorite steak placed in B-town.

    Food and service was great - only item we didn't like were green beans. The spicy meatballs were very spicy, which we liked, but were happy the waitress warned us, as some people might not like that. Steak was great, grilled shrimp were very good, mushrooms were great and our Prisoner wine was very good, too. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Hope to come back again!

    Steak was a bit crispy, salad was lettuce and dressing only and it was SO loud with everyone packed in. Great waitstaff. Fast service. Cold beer. Just so dang loud we had to yell to talk like we were in a packed bar. Still a go to place on occasion.

    My ribeye was excellent. Cooked to perfection with the marbling beyond expectation. The fat had turned into cotton candy and had amazing flavor.

    As usual the food was outstanding. I always get the lambchops which are truly the best I have ever eaten anywhere and always perfectly cooked. Amazingly delicious. My husband doesn't eat red meat and gets the chicken and says - 100% - it is THE BEST chicken he has ever had (and believe me he has had a lot of chicken!). Perfectly cooked and moist and two enormous pieces - always one to take home for a second meal. Every time we go to Bloomington we eat here.

    Overall a nice evening. Waitress was great. Food was good. Lots of tables close together. We sat in a booth and every time the people at the table behind us moved, our seat moved too. Could have just been an off night but the hostess was unpleasant

    Cool to experience a Bloomington legendary place but meat and more meat and such high prices. The meatballs were average in flavor and the spicy sauce was just too hot to enjoy and I do like spicy food. I don’t love steak places but wanted to try this spot. It was so loud in there and I couldn’t hear the conversation. I am 50 with good hearing and up for adventures. I can usually find the good in any place but ripped booth seats and $200 for 3 people, could t hear? I won’t go back. Sorry Zagreb… did not live up to the hype.

    Im not sure what is Romanian about this spot. Its a surf and turf chop house. Big slabs of meat cooked feet from your table. The atmosphere is just on the positive side of scruffy and the service is good but curt. The meats are all well cooked and large portions. Wine list is average and since the kitchen is basically in the dining room, with no disguised or screened areas, its not a special occasion or date night place. Our bill came to $160 with tip and that included two cocktails. So not inexpensive. There are better choices in town for date night. That said, if you are looking for good meats, this may be the spot.

    This place definitely lived up to the local hype. The steak was very tender with a lot of marbling. You could probably cut it with a plastic knife. I wouldn't be surprised if mine was actually a prime cut instead of choice. All of the sides were great, and our server was on top of things. Overall, it was a great experience. They've gained a "regular" with me.

    We arrived at the time of our reservation & were promptly seated. Our waitress, Jordan, was amazing! She definitely made sure we had whatever we needed. Once we got our appetizer, which was 1lb of king crab legs, it was good for the most part until I got to part of the crab cluster that literally felt like ice so we couldn’t eat it & risk getting sick. We could’ve said something but we figured the coldness was from any part of the crab that was sticking out of the boiling water, so we let it go. We all got steak which was over cooked, dry & had little to no seasoning. My daughter & I also got a lobster tail which was definitely over cooked & rubbery. This was our first time here, & we will not go back when we could get exactly the same thing at Texas Roadhouse for half the cost. Don’t get me wrong, the food didn’t taste bad, it just wasn’t worth the price by far. I will say the steak sauce that they make themselves is really good. I would’ve sworn they took A-1 sauce & just poured it in a bowl. As far as the actual restaurant, it was run down, needs cleaned better, & needs updated badly. My husband went to the restroom & he couldn’t believe how bad it looked. He said there were tiles coming up off the floor & it looked like a restroom from an old truck stop. It was so loud that you can’t even talk to whoever you’re with without having to yell. The tables were so close together that we could barely move. I feel bad leaving this review, but people need to know before they go & spend several hundred dollars on one meal in a mediocre restaurant. We had truly been looking forward to this place for a long time, & now we are just so disappointed.
