   A wonderful evening of delicious food, excellent wine, and a vibrant atmosphere. The service was impeccable from the greeting at the door and all of the way through dinner service.

   Food was above average but not exceptional. Service was good but not warm. Place was VERY busy and definitely does not have an intimate feel. Definitely did not come across as Michelin star worthy. Not worth the price

   The food was TOO spicy. I know it is Indian food, but even in India I always able to find more adapted food.

   Absolutely phenomenal food!!! Me and my group of six people ordered probably around 15 different menu items, we LOVED every single one. Everyone raved over everything. Highly recommend. I will dream of this food for years to come!

   This restaurant came recommended to us by some friends, and I can honestly say it was the best dining experience ever! Our server asked if it was our first time experiencing Indian food, and after we said yes, he made sure to explain all of the spices in every sauce. He also put the sauces on the side, so that we could taste them first. That opened the door for us to experiment and to fully enjoy the flavors, without being worried of being overwhelmed. Top rated service and ambiance! Definitely add this restaurant to your list! We will be back next time we are in London!

   Dining at Jamavar turned out to be a rather mixed experience experience. Firstly there was no one to welcome us or open the door to a restaurant. Secondly we were accommodated in the empty dining room downstairs which impacted our experience. It felt cold and the atmosphere was simply not the same. The food and service were great, however we were shocked to find out that the company seems to have taken part in the unfair practice of taking majority of service charge from their workers (similarly to Harrods and other companies) by introducing the compulsory 10% cover charge and leaving only 5% of service charge to employees. When we have questioned this practice, the management came up with some inconsistent explanations. It is rather shameful for such a renowned restaurant to engage in this new hospitality practice (started popping up after the recent Tronc legislation amendment).

    The food was excellent. The best I’ve tried in London. The staff were nice and welcoming but the service was quite inefficient. We were given the wrong menu, the wait for the wine was very long and when it arrived it was not opened and poured for a while. We were also seated near the service entrance when there were other vacant tables. We dined late so there were no other guests expected at those tables. Therefore the price did not feel justified.
