Jam Delish is an independent family-owned Caribbean vegan restaurant and cocktail bar in Angel, Islington. Founded in 2020 by siblings Jordan and Chyna, their idea was one that came purely from their desire to bring their grandparents authentic, traditional Caribbean recipes from their family home to the London food scene, with a fresh and modern take, inspired by their own upbringing in a vegan household. Fusing their love for plant-based food with their Caribbean roots, they identified a niche gap in the market for authentic, Modern Caribbean Vegan Cuisine.     Jam Delish are launching a series of supper clubs and our executive chef, Nathan Collymore, will be collaborating with a select number of Caribbean vegan chefs and content creators. Our first guest chef will be Instagram sensation and Plant Boiis member, Jacob King, who has amassed a loyal following of over 400k people on the social media platform. We are thrilled that he has chosen Jam Delish to collaborate with on his first ever supper club and we are truly excited for you all to taste this amazing six-course tasting menu that he and Nathan have developed. With the theme being Caribbean Christmas, you can expect to indulge in dishes including Rum Glazed King Oyster Mushroom Scallops, Jerk Chicken Wellington and Pineapple and Rum Granita.

    We ordered from the set menu as we were a larger party. Starters: - The “saltfish” tostones were tasty, just wish we had more of them. - Some of the people who got the aubergine didn’t quite like the texture and it was quite spicy. Mains: - The curry “goat” was an easy 9/10. The flavours were delightful and the goat substitute was tasty. - The “chicken” skewers were delicious. They had a smoky taste and very much mimicked chicken. Again, just wish we had more than 2. Dessert: - The banana cake wasn’t what I had hoped for in terms of texture or taste. But the caramelised bananas on top and the ice cream were delicious. -Those who had the brownie enjoyed it as it was more of a cake texture (what the banana cake should’ve been) Overall I would visit again. I just wished the options for the set menu were wider and that there was Mac and cheese available🥲. The servers were awesome, very polite and respectful and friendly. The ambiance was nice! Restaurant was clean and pleasant.

    We decided to try this restaurant and we were pleasantly surprised. Great food (we tried jerk chicken skewers). Desserts were fabulous (brownie and banana cake were amazing, maybe we needed a bit more of ice cream).

    Service, ambiance and attention to customer s was EXCELLENT! Cannot be faulted. A very warm and intimate restaurant. The meal was great. Only part that was a little less so if pressed, was the macaroni cheese. Other than that, everything else was delicious. Would definitely recommend. The reggae music in the background was good. Not so loud that you struggle to hear who you were talking to. The staff were faultless, and ensured that you were happy and satisfied, from the moment you walked in, until the moment you left. Had a lovely restaurant experience, for my first time visit.

    First time having a full vegan meal, and I can say I fully enjoyed it. Will definitely be going back. One fault if any was that I found the service between each meal a bit slow.

    Food was outstanding, my partner is not a keen vegan eater but he said a definite 5* rating from him. The only item we we're not so keen on was the mini festivals, for me the taste was on point, was just sprinkled with too much sugar. Apart from that the whole meal was delicious!

    Jam Delish never disappoints. From the starters to the mains and the drinks. Went with meat eater friends, and they were blown away. Make sure to ask for the shhh cocktail; tell the waiter what kind of alcohol and flavours you like, and they will make a signature cocktail for you. Enjoyed ourselves.

    The staff really stood out and were knowledgeable. We did have a a minor problem that the manager rectified swiftly and efficiently. The food was really good. I just forgot to ask what is soya based but will do next time I’m there

    Great service and excellent food. We were going to Sadlers Wells after our early dinner, so we were on on a tight schedule and the team brought us everything as it was ready so we still had time to enjoy the food and feel relaxed. Loved the curry goat and the fried "chicken" with Jamaican gravy, I only wish I could have tried more dishes! Our group was a mix of vegan and non-vegan diners with some spicy food lovers and some much less so, and everyone enjoyed it. Perhaps especially the vegan who does.nit normally get such a wide range of choices when dining out. Strongly recommended!

    Truly a memorable dinner experience. The crispy grilled aubergine was a treat as well as the roti. I had the curry ‘goat’ which was delicious. The highlight of the main, outside of the flavor, was the texture of the ‘goat’. They nailed it. Favorite part of the entire meal was dessert. The cheesecake was enough on its own for a 5/5 but the banana cake delivered on flavor and texture just the same. I can’t wait to return.

    Had been planning to visit here for some time and thought it was out the way but it is really close to Angel Tube. The food was great and everything we ordered was delicious. Only the service could have been a little better as felt we were forgotten after our mains but would try again in the New Year

    The oxtail stew was amazing, it was so hearty and flavoursome (and had a little spice to it). The portions are a great size so you won't be hungry after your main, and the banana bread dessert was lovely as well. My meal was delicious and I'd happily go back.

    Worth visiting to try some different vegan cuisine. Restaurant has lovely decor and feel. I think the main courses were tasty enough but slightly overpriced for portion size. £19.50 for main course I'd be expecting it to be amazing and a plate full. It wasn't. Definitely worth a visit, though..

    My mum had an amazing birthday experience. She’s a vegan and loved the fact that she could enjoy everything on the menu. The service was on point and staff were attentive. There are good gluten free options but all the gluten free mains had soy products which I am also intolerant to so my options were limited to sides. Otherwise, the rest of the table enjoyed amazing food

    Nice and cozy place with an amazing food. A bit pricey though, but I guess that's what you have to pay here in London if you want a really good and delicious food. Would definitely come back once again.
