Way too much money for the value. 2 orders were wrong and my plate came out much later than everyone else's. Steak was bland and rare as hell. Ordered a charred medium rare. Should have gone somewhere else sadly.

overpriced wines (almost 4 times markup from retail prices) with vintage year on bottle not matching year listed on the menu. Average food with not many healthy options at all

It was awesome to be there at a typically “busy” brunch time and have good service without it being too crowded. The presentation of everything was a 10, but the mac and cheese was so incredibly rich that it was hard to eat more than 2 bites. I would LOVE to come back when I’m not pregnant because the (alcoholic) drinks delivered to other tables also looked amazing. I really liked the biscuits and gravy and would highly recommend.

Even though there were plenty of open tables they put us in one waaay in the back corner so it felt sort of cramped. The waiter looked like he wanted to be anywhere else then where he was, he looked miserable and just disinterested. The food was great so that was good. Went to celebrate a birthday and the waiter gave us dessert menus but none of us wanted dessert. He brought out some ice cream for the birthday girl which was nice but then charged us for it without asking....If you are going to bring ice cream at least ask if we wanted some or not otherwise we would have said no. Overall it was disappointing for such a highly reviewed place.

This was the perfect way to close out 2019 with a delicious meal prior to partying. Outdoor seating was properly heated, the bbq buns starter was delicious, we split a 12oz ribeye that was cooked to perfection, and even bought a candle from the shop on the way out. Great place.

This place is fantastic!!!!! Took our whole extended visiting family here for a pre-Christmas brunch today— incredible experience and highly recommend!!!! You can dress up or dress casual and the menu is wonderful -something for everyone! We tried everything from scones to chicken and waffles to the Jacoby sausage to the grits to the special strawberry cake. Yummy!!!!!!
We loved the dishes and glassware and the ambience of the place with the antique and rustic touches.
We will definitely go back very impressed —delicious food and wonderful service!!!!

A C+ / B- overall. We had brunch. Service was very good (B+ / A-), atmosphere (we were inside) was good (B), and the food was nothing special (C).

I went Wednesday for the fried chicken special and was very happy! The portion of chicken, in my humble opinion, is way too much. I split it with a friend and was more than sated with the addition of a few half-priced snacks. The egg batter on the chicken is very good and light, but it doesn't last. Eat that first for best effect. It gets soggy and falls off over time. The broccoli was outstanding and the mashed tatters nice but pretty standard. Well prepared comfort food. The people there are very nice and the service was good, though I felt interrupted a few times. It's a tricky balance and it wasn't quite there. But it is a minor quibble.

I'd recommend Jacoby's for the ambiance but the food was underwhelming. Everything was under-seasoned and of course no salt/pepper shakers on the table. The scalloped potatoes were not fully cooked which was disappointing but my friend said the chicken fried steak was really good. I wasn't super impressed with my choices. (Salad and roasted broccoli, again under-seasoned)
The restaurant itself is really cute. They have a good sized outside patio-ish area but we sat inside since it was cold. We originally chose bar seating but happy there was a table available. The seating at the bar is good for a drink or two but not eating dinner, IMHO.

We hit the all day happy hour on a Tuesday, so it was not only a great value, but there were not a lot of patrons. Our server was top notch, knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful! Sitting outside is the best, when you have kids, if the weather cooperates!

Had a horrible experience with their manager. We had a larger group and needed to change the reservation bc some family left town early. Management insisted they had bookings and wouldn't work to accommodate our changes and explained if we didn't show it was $20 per person charge. We showed up and the place was half empty. Will not go back.

So the food was fine, but nothing special. The service was terrible. We had a larger group but it still took much longer than it should have for our food to come out (well over an hour). The manager actually came out and apologized saying they had a mix-up in the kitchen and it still took at least another 20 minutes.

On top of that, they brought out some ice cream for my wife because we were there for her birthday m, but then charged us for the ice cream that we didn’t even ask for.

Also, this was our first time at Jacoby’s and it doesn’t say anywhere on their website that the majority of seating is outside. We ended up outside when it was getting down in to the 40s. One of the heaters wasn’t working and the whole group ended up wrapped up in blankets (they were good enough to at least have blankets on hand for us).

It's a good deal during happy hour, but I would not pay $12 for a few pieces of bread smeared with butter that barely tasted like bone marrow. The burger and fries were good, but again, not $17 good. I miss their onion rings, those are outstanding!

Found this place randomly for date night and was thoroughly impressed. Had a really nice inside vibe that my date really enjoyed, but the outside was also really nice as well. Food was phenomenal, the stuffed burger was one of the better menu items I have had in some time.
Going for happy hour is especially a great deal, appetizers are $5 and there are a multitude of drink deals as well.
We will be going back!

Both us and our friends drove about 140 miles to meet in Austin and we chose this place because it seemed to have a good brunch menu.

Great ambiance and location. The food was ok but not worth the drive or the price. The temperature of the food was a bit off and the bread pudding for dessert was a bit heavy and bland. The service was great up until we got our food and then a bit lacking thereafter.

Maybe we caught them on a bad day. All in all not worth the drive or the cost. Sorry.

Love this place! Made reservations for 6 for brunch, no wait. Sat outside. Ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees, everything we ordered was delicious! Loved how they didn't have music blasting, but just enough to create a relaxing ambiance. Purchased a cute item from the mercantile.

Everything was nice except the food! The burger was dry (cooked medium rare), and unremarkable. Chicken fried steak was tough and fatty (both of them). Drinks were VERY small and expensive (worse than other restaurants that you think the same thing). Parking is ridiculous. Would never return!

Have eaten there twice before and the food is good, however our experience was ruined in the afternoon before we ate there. The reservation had been made a month before, and confirmed via phone 2 days before. The day of our reservation, I received a call telling me we would be seated at a picnic table at the front of the restaurant (by the street). This was unacceptable to our party, and it took approximately 15 minutes for the hostess to finally say that the manager had “rearranged” the indoor seating to “accommodate “ us.
At no point during our 90 minutes there, was the restaurant full, indeed there were several empty tables. I fail to understand why we were to be seated outside at a table that clearly they felt they needed to warn us about beforehand. Terrible management of our reservation, and no manager approached us during our visit to apologize or check on us. The service seemed hurried, and although the food is great, it takes more than that to provide a great dining experience.
I posted a review on their Facebook page, that was immediately taken down. Overall, just shabby!
