I would like to give feedback about the experience we had yesterday night at Jackson's bistro. I made a reservation for dinner and listed in the additional comment section that we would like to sit straight in front of the water outdoors. I also mentioned it is my daughter's birthday. Once arrived they sat us tucked in far from the water and when I stated to the person sitting us that I said close to the water on my reservation he said it will be one and a half hour of waiting if I want to sit close to the water. Nobody mentioned anything about my daughter's birthday, it was completely ignored. Regarding the food, my daughter ordered Sushi for her dinner and got the sushi without soy sauce or chopsticks, she had to wait for too long and finally my husband walked toward the front to ask for soy sauce and other things. I ordered a BLK Grouper Sandwich and it was cold and awful. Very Very disappointing experience to be honest. Spent $140 on something I completely hate "food" and won't recommend the restaurant to anyone else
Such a great restaurant! Went for an anniversary dinner and the atmosphere and views were perfect! Food and service were excellent! We cannot wait to go again :)
Very nice for an afternoon brunch. The food was good. Thank you.
Changed the menu since the last time we were there. Was just okay
I was satisfied with all aspects, I'd recommend to anyone in the area. I'll be back
Busy place
The food was average. Nothing special. You eat there for the view of the Bay
Beautiful night , service was superb!! Delicious food
This was a great choice of restaurant to celebrate my wife’s Birthday with our two teenagers. We dined outside which was great except for all the people that would walk by our table and most of them without masks. I would recommend to ask for a table outside but on the patio and not on the sidewalk.
The sushi is very ordinary here so definitely order from the main menu. We had Pasta dishes and salad which were all wonderful. The carrot cake was excellent.
The service was exceptional.
This is my favorite restaurant in Tampa. The food is always incredible. Go for lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed.
The sushi and the blackened grouper sandwich are a must.
The view is great of downtown Tampa and there is alwaya a great vibe.
21st Birthday
Great waiter and amazing atmosphere. Well pleased!
Wonderful food and service with a fabulous view to boot!
The atmosphere was perfect, outside on the water. The service was great!! The food was just ok unfortunately.
Awesome, the view was great
Don’t understand what the hype is about Jackson’s. Husband and I went with a group of friends for dinner and everyone said the food was okay.
Minus the view, Jackson’s has nothing more to really rave about it.
Sushi was subpar, Jackson’s “signature” salad is a basic oil and vinegar salad, soup wasn’t even warm, the chicken that states “deboned” is actually boned, and the other chicken dish must be pre-made as when asked to take out mushrooms due to allergies they said no.
Jackson’s is officially off my to go list, unfortunately.
Great location. Extremely disappointed only served buffet for Sunday lunch. $30 was pricey for only a glass of water included. Food was not replenished sufficiently whatsoever. Wouldn’t recommend for buffet
Went for brunch and it was was great! Food and service was outstanding!
not the best service but willing to give the Sunday Brunch a try
Food and service were great as usual. We love to go to Jackson's
Dined at Jackson's for our anniversary and requested to eat outside overlooking the water. Mild temps, soft breeze and sunny to go along with great service and great food.
My wife had the pecan crusted swordfish on the recommendation of Nick our waiter and I had the lobster roll, spicy salmon and tuna rolls. A recommendation from my wife would be to have some show the kitchen how to make mashed potatoes and if your not going to cover the potatoes with sauce, maybe make them garlic and chive mashed potatoes. We will be making eating at Jackson's a regular occasion.
My sister does not drink for personal reasons and when the server learned she did not drink, he made a joke, asking her to leave the restaurant, like she was unwelcomed now she wasn't consuming alcohol. I understand the intention to joke and built rapport but it was extremely offensive. Second, our ahi tuna appetizer came out cooked well done. Our server delivered the food and when we asked him about the wellness, he blamed the kitchen, quite aggressively, saying they've been sucking lately. I have a background in hospitality and you always must protect the house and never throw anyone under the bus. Lastly, the second I signed the check, our server immediately came and grabbed the check, I am sure just interested in his tip. He did not ask if we needed anything else or cleared our table. I come to Jackson's on a regular basis and in the 6 years I've lived in Tampa, this is the first I've ever been upset with a server.
I really recommend this place, it has the most beautiful water view and food is delicious, their sushi rolls are super fresh and my favorite, it's my family's must go spot every time we are in town.
Even on a cloudy/rainy day the view is spectacular. The staff is so professional and on top of their game.
The service was very slow, forgot our appetizer, a bottle of wine, and a bottle of seltzer.
Server made the specials an after thought. Forgot the sushi order (which looked like an ice cream cone) I didn't know there was a large wine menu until the end. My filet was over cooked. The dessert was the best part. If I heard my server say 'understood' one more time I may have flipped. Overrated.
Delicious and great view. Good service.
Service was great. We were seated quickly and my girlfriend loved her food.
Salad was awful. Dessert was delicious.
Drink had no alcohol
All was good. However, the Half Roasted Chicken was hardly that. I only got a leg and a breast. No thigh or wing. We notified the Mgr who did not have much of an answer as to why. He did comp two desserts though which we appreciated. The chicken was bland and not great.
Is was wonderful....
Well it was Valentine’s Day but my reservation was for 1 , I felt like the waiter was unaware of that since it took him 24 mins to come approach me for my drink order , and then when I clarified to him I was having a solo dinner , everything became rushed to get me in and out , I’d ordered a dozen oysters, and before they’d come out the waiter has asked me 2 times did I know what I wanted for dinner . Then I had to wait for bread to come out with my dinner idk why I had to wait the bread would’ve been better then the crackers given with the oysters . So what I had for dinner was red snapper and scallops, I was surprised by the very small portion of fish on this meal . A rather small filet of fish and 4 scallops . It was a disappointment.
My boyfriend and I went for Valentine’s Day this past Sunday, our server was giving us really great service. The food and drinks took our breath away! Not to mention the views. Highly recommend
Very Enjoyable valentines day dinner. The food was good and the service was great
Awesome as always
I love this place
I din there almost every weekend
It was well worth every penny loved everything❤️
Came for Valentine's Day. I have not been back to Tampa for quite some time but from my memory I thought there was a dress code - was very surprised to see people in extremely casual dress.
Server was great and knowledgeable. Steak was perfect, as was the Tiger Roll which was the day's special. Drinks came out quickly, as did our whole meal. I couldn't tell if they were just trying to get us out of there and have quick turnaround, but the entrees came out before we finished the appetizer and the dessert came out before either of us finished our meals.
All in all, a good experience. We will likely come back but perhaps not for more formal occasions.
Our waiter was super goofy and super polite. He was awesome!
