Omakase was outstanding and I highly recommend going that route. Ambience was great!
We sat in the speakeasy area. Ramen and drinks were great!! It was very very cold down there though - the fans on full blast were a little much. If it wasn’t so cold 5 stars!!
Great sushi! This is our go to place for family birthdays!
It leaked a bit at the sushi bar from a rainstorm and I was overcharged for a drink (which they took off). Overall good sushi and enjoyed the experience.
Bartender knew his Japanese Whisky! Asked us what we likedandbrought out a flight that we loved. The fried eggplant appetizer was amazing! The sushi was off the charts!! Next time I am in Denver I have to eat here again!!!
Ramen was very good, but we had a gap of 20 min between ramen as a main dish and the sushi which took at 30 min.
Love this place so much, I keep coming back. The food is so good and the staff are great. I recommend the rice bowls. They also had fresh uni, which they made into a lovely maki roll for me as I didn't want it sushi style.
Very happy with our experience at Izakaya Ronin and will definitely go back.
We had a reservation through open table, but they didn’t have the table available in time. We did end up waiting an extra hour for a table, not their fault, just he party before use was camping out and they were very nice to comp our first round of drinks. Despite the table stuff, everyone was super friendly, communicative, and helpful. The food was delicious and we will definitely go back again!
Food was amazing! It was very good! The waitress and host were able to accommodate for 9 people when I originally reserved for 6. However, I have the restaurant a 3 star rating over all because of the ridiculous prices on their liquor!
I know I shouldn’t compare, because maybe their liquor is what makes this place special, but the “cheapest” drink they had was literally a 7.5% beer that was $12.................. um, that’s as much as a roll of sushi.
It was fun, the food was great, but it was also my first time there and first impressions should matter! I’m sure the speakeasy part of the restaurant is cool, but we were in the main dining area, so this also might have made a difference in our experience. Sorry to say this, but I don’t think I’ll be going back again ☹️
Service was excellent and the sushi was the best in Denver
Overall the food was over cooked and tough- from the chicken to
The squid. Also it was a little outrageous that they asked my husband if he wanted a block of ice or on the rocks for his cocktail and he asked for a block of ice. when we got the bill he was charged an extra $1 for the ice for his $13 cocktail.
The sushi bar chefs were great! We chose the courses meal and left incredibly happy!? Thank you everyone for an excellent first experience.
Arrived just in time for happy hour. prices were still a little high for "happy hour".
The space was unexciting and felt like a basement bar. Edamame appetizer was the best i've had in years!!! The remainder of our food was not very good. It wasn't bad it was just bland and boring. Our bar tender seemed over it as well.
Food was amazing and staff was aware of gluten free options for Celiac.
Excellent sashimi, beautiful presentation
Took a long time to get our food.
Was charged twice for our bill at the bar.
Server forgot to give us our credit card back after she ran it.
Had a reservation for 8....was not seated until 830.
What's a cool space. And the server is very nice. I wasn't all that impressed with the menu or the prices. the food itself was average
Staff was very attentive and food was amazing. It felt like true Japanese style when unexpected sides arrived before our main course.
This is the best quality sushi I have found in Denver, ramen was unbelievable, drinks and service were excellent. Strongly recommend.
Was not impressed with the food. To me it was not an izakaya style restaurant.
Proud to have met your server Jack who was beyond professional and was a gentleman and a scholar. Very knowledgeable of the cuisine and very prompt and friendly. The cuisine was beyond authentic and broke a lot of the traditional rules in a way that only appealed to the esteemed palette. I highly recommend this location to all of your friends
Waiter was amazing and very aware of celiac!
Izakaya Ronin is one of our new faves! We sat at the sushi bar and went for the complete experience, omakase and a bottle of sake. Each course was amazing. Carlos is extremely talented and continued to surprise us. I kept saying I haven’t had anything like this before, and we are pro foodies! Very highly recommended!!
Great menu for Valentine’s Day!
Great service. Bartender Jenny was awesome. Food was outstanding. Miso was one of the best. Toro on special was amazing. So much flavor in the ramen. Tried the Colorado and Godzilla rolls. Both were awesome! Tempura was yummy. Drinks were great. Liquor sword is tasty! Can’t wait to go back! Literally so happy we discovered this place and it stays open late!
Went for the $50 omakase on the first Tues of Feb. Delicious food, super attentive chef (he overhead I don't like the seaweed wrap and let me try a soy wrap instead), good cocktails.
Overall spent <$200 for 2 people with the whole meal, many drinks, tax and tip. So worth it.
Had an amazing time sitting at the sushi bar. The Colorado roll was out of this world with so much flavor and the fish tasting so fresh will definitely be a repeat customer
Had a wonderful dinner here! Highly recommend doing the omakase at the sushi bar. Our sushi chef, Doug, was not only great company but a fantastic chef! Can’t wait to come back next time we are in town.
Food was spectacular
We have enjoyed Sushi Ronin on many occasions and wanted to try their sister restaurant Izakaya Ronin. The home run for us this particular evening was the chefs choice (omakase) at the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed his creations, sequence and interaction.
I am still somewhat of a "sushi virgin". Our waiter took the time to walk me through the differences between the types of sushi and make recommendations on what to eat, what order to have the sushi brought out in, and it made for an overall amazing sushi experience. Everything was fantastic and I will be going back again very soon!
Had an overall good experience. I would have to say it’s a bit overpriced for some of the options, but the quality and taste of the food was decent. Also, they should invest in some to go bags.
Great food (the ramen is divine!), handmade cocktails with fun names, great staff. 5/5, will come back!
We sat at the bar and did the "Omakase" meal. So fun and delicious! Great date night experience!
A little pricey, but totally worth it. Amazing sushi, amazing ramen, and amazing service! We're still talking about the place a week later.
The food was good but the service was soooooo slow. Drinks / food everything seemed to take forever.
We sat at the sushi bar. We decided to go with the chefs choice option only available at the bar, it was amazing! Everything was so delicious, and it was nice to be able to see it being prepared!
