Very nice restaurant. Great food, great ambiance, hip, beautiful view , moderately priced!!!
We went early on a week night so it was not crowded and we could talk easily. The room has soaring ceilings, light and bright, twinkling city views. Rack of lamb the best I ever had, also delicious branzino. Unfortunately they were bought out and are closing in January.
We had a great time!!
Great grilled Octopus appetizer, followed by delicious scallops, and really good sorbet. Good wine selection.
Poor food, expensive prices for fast food quality. Nice view though. music from the bar
Absolutely horrendous food. Poor quality ingredients. Tasteless and soggy.
Thanksgiving 3 course dinner was exceptional in all regards. Desserts not to be missed. Would highly recommend. Staff very busy but courteous and attentive
We had to leave the venue and have Sunday brunch in the other place.
The noise was unbearable, service was poor / even with the reservation and special requirements they did not have the table ready and available, and when I mentioned the reservation and the special note, hostess. said that even with the note it is not guaranteed. In this case, I think at least the word ''not guaranteed'' should be somewhere there/.
So we lost about 40 minutes in the venue and left, because neither the tables offered nor the menu was right for us.
Very poor and slow service. Such a shame this rooftop bar is a let down because it has so much potential for improvement in all areas. Looking quite tired and the service was a real disappointment with drinks orders taking far too long and being delivered by a server who was rude and hopeless. Won’t be going back when we visit next time.
taste so bad and expensive
Very bad experience. Went for brunch on Sunday. Arrived 2 hours before our booking to enjoy view and a few drinks. Booking time came round and management proceeded to check in their friends, putting them in prime seats, stating either that they were “regulars” or “had checked in before us”. Not sure how this was the case unless they arrived 2hrs 10 mins before their booking?
Truck stop standard at Michelin star prices. Don’t bother getting the breakfast burrito unless you’re going straight out for lunch after.
Would be good if you had a large group who wanted a boozy brunch and nothing else.
Wouldn’t return if you paid me
Amazing staff and amazing hostess
Nice ambiance, food took almost an hour with not many people in restaurant. Server kept forgetting things and not coming back to check in. Food was not great.
We came here thinking it would be high up with a great view and also expected the skybar to be spectacular with open roof. The experience was something quite different. Everything at ground level with overexpensive prices and mediocre food
Loved the view and the patio! Service was top notch and they brought us out a birthday dessert!
Nice atmosphere. Our server was super nice and the food was very tasty. It's just a bit overpriced. Appetizers were very overpriced in my opinion for the amount you get. Not too many people for a Friday night.
First of all, the service here is horrendous. They are so slow, unhelpful, and snooty. We always feel as if we are being judged by them when we come here. We literally saw the servers peeking through the curtains inside and looking at our table and whispering about us! Literally why?! We are always patient, respectful, kind, and literally don't even complain about anything! And that's despite there being plenty to complain about.
I made a reservation, and we arrived about fifteen minutes before the reservation. They said there'd be a wait, and even though literally half of the tables were empty, we didn't complain since we had arrived early. Our reservation time came and went, and we still had to wait an extra TWENTY minutes before being seated. Remember, we HAD A RESERVATION, and there were EMPTY TABLES everywhere!
Everyone that works here is so slow and passive aggressive, they act so inconvenienced to have to be serving you. They're always standing around and chatting and never checking up on us for drink re-fills or anything else. We always have to flag them down to get our order taken and to get the check - they never come over to you themselves!!! It took literally an hour after ordering to finally get our food.
The Ivory did not disappoint whatsoever from what I expected before I arrived. The seats were cozy, the cocktail options were vast, the food was marvelously prepared and the service was top notch. I came here for an evening dinner with a friend visiting from out of town for the weekend. I'd really like to come during the brunch hours some day.
This meal was an absolute waste of my time.
Even though we had a reservation, we were made to wait for 20 minutes after we arrived. The food was overcooked and the service was poor and unattentive during our meal.
I'm not coming back, and I'm telling my friends to stay away. It's not even worth the Instagram photo.
Great view! Host when we arrived was very accommodating and pleasant!
We really enjoyed! Food improved from last time. Nice views too.
Sort of a bad start, but the hostess was very off-putting and rude to us even before I opened my mouth. She didn't say anything, but simply just the way she looked at me and my friends were demeaning as if my friends and I were not welcome there. I made the reservation for my birthday, and she did not mention anything to the waiter about that note. However, aside from ALL of that, our waiter was AMAZING (his name was Tomas) and his service was outstanding and so genuine. He was very kind and accommodating about everything, which almost made us forget about how we were greeted at first. The food was AMAZING & I would most definitely come back! Hopefully, that hostess will be a little happier & friendlier next time!
We never miss the opportunity to eat here when in the LA area. There’s typically good celeb sightings too!!!
Amazing food and service! One of my favorites in LA.
Great views, good food, fun and lively scene, interesting hotel setting, super views!
Kitchen was very slow. Took 40 min to make a smoothie and food took over an hour to come out.
I came here to celebrate my birthday on Sunday, over the holiday weekend. I made a reservation for a party of 9 far in advance. My party and I arrived on time at 1:15 while others came even earlier. When we got there they said it would only be a few minutes before we were sat. 10 minutes go by, they told us the same thing. 15 more minutes go by, the host tells us the same thing again. Mind you, she was dressed in sweats, T-shirt and clogs. Looked like she just rolled out of bed. And she was super rude. Another 15 more minutes go by and my party and I were still waiting. I was so upset because it was 2pm, we had been waiting 45 minutes, and brunch ends at 3! Then the host tells me, we can’t force people to leave their table. So then why would she keep telling me it’s only going to be a few minutes to be sat. If you guys overbooked that’s not my fault ? I look over at the table we’re waiting for, and they are just hanging out and drinking. It did not look like they were going anywhere soon. Then I look over to the table next to them, which is EMPTY and the manager tells me it’s booked for another reservation, who ISN’t even there! So they were honoring someone else’s reservation who wasn’t present but couldn’t honor my reservation, in which all my guests were present and ON TIME. Finally at 2pm the manager goes over to the table we were waiting for and tells them to leave and continue drinking in another other area. Mind you, it was mentioned that the table before us was late to their reservation which is why it ran into our time. Luckily, our waitress was really nice and apologetic. She, in my opinion, is the only thing that saved the day. I would NEVER come back here again though. Poor service and bad attitude from staff.
Location, Location, Location is the BEST -- when the LA smog isn't blocking it out! The outdoor seating is divine, and comfortable, and just feels like vacation even at a business breakfast! The hotel lobby is like a three ring circus, and when you exit out the back glass doors towards the Ivory ... you have arrived at an amazing, jaw dropping view from the top of the city!
The food... it's LA -- who cares? LOL...the eggs were good but the juices were not "fresh squeezed" but bottled off site according to the waiter who was kind of still sleepy I guess but the price for a bottled juice was not really fair...but it was too late because the top was popped and the juice poured by the time he finished explaining it was NOT FRESH!! The rest of the food was fine, and again the winner here is the view.
Ive been here before for 4th of July and it was amazing. So, tonight I took my bf here for our Anniversary dinner date. To be honest, it was not the same as before. We got there the place is kinda dead which I kinda understand since it is Sunday *but for me a good place will always be good any day. He is disappointed but I told him give it a chance. The view is fine, nothing special compared to other roof top restaurants or overlooking restaurants. The service is fine, tho my first time we were serve very well. I ordered the cauliflower, salmon and the pasta. Food is very good, no doubt. My bf loves it. We also love the Hell or high watermelon beer (Taste really good) and grand oprery drink! Tho, in the middle of our meal. A loud music was played. As I remembered it was like a Britney song (I mean I have no against Britney) but I took my bf here because the last time I went here I found magic here, it was nice, quite and romantic but I guess tonight is not. Feels like there’s party which is kinda weird since it is a fine dining restaurant. I didnt complain since we are almost done eating. They gave us a chocolate cake for the dessert and it is really good, alittle too sweet. Overall, it is good but not as good as our first time. Food is expensive ofcourse but the meal is absolutely good. Ambiance is fair, nothing special. Service is fair too. Tonight is a fine night. Nothing special but Ill still be back.
I love this place, is the perfect place for a date or just have a good time with friends. My friend and I went for dinner and hung out at the bar next door it was great we really enjoyed our time there, ambiance, food, drinks and service were amazing.
The hostess that greeted us was exceptional and made sure we got the table we wanted!
Great service. I might be over critical. This is more of a hot spot/ scene. So if you’re looking for a great spot for cocktails before hitting the Mondrian / club to gather with some friends. This is definitely great for that.
Posto molto suggestivo, illuminazioni e vista mozzafiato.
Il personale molto molto gentile e cordiale.
Il cibo: abbiamo ordinato un plateau di frutti di mare, tutto molto gelido e gamberi surgelati !
Rapporto qualità prezzo pessimo
Really great place for a birthday celebration! Staff was great, food was delicious, hip place with great vistas of the city.
What a beautiful place with outstanding service!
Bar was great. Waited 30 minutes for a table even with a reservation! Though we had a great view by the window. Food was good. Server was nice. Drinks were good. $14 valet charge with validation. Would try again.
The staff was amazing at making our anniversary feel special. It was really perfect.
Best food, amazing wine and cocktails . Definitely worth going .
Positives - The food was fine. The view was good and the ambiance on the patio was nice. The servers were friendly (though they seemed to be rushing around, looked like they needed another hand)
Weak points - It had been 100 degrees plus that day and the lobby of the building and the indoor seating did not have any air conditioning turned on. They were trying to save money on the energy bill?
The parking and building entrance sucks. There is no sign outside the building or in the lobby which says where the restaurant is. So you can enter the building and you will be lost.
