An authentic and popular Sardinian restaurant on Lacy Road, Putney. There"s a neighbourhood-restaurant feel to things here, so expect a friendly welcome and plenty of locals.

There's an emphasis on the dishes and produce of Sardinia, though other Italian regions feature too.

Pasta dishes (all Pasta is home made it daily by Susanna ) such as pappardelle with wild boar ragu and tagliatelle with fresh crab prove popular here.

The wine list concentrates on Sardinian bottles, though drops from Marche, Friuli, Tuscany and Piemonte also feature. The cocktail list has been designed by Kay Plunkett-Hogge - author of Make Mine a Martini, with classics alongside those paying further homage to Sardinia with a outstanding Cocktail based on Mirto (popular Sardinian liqueur)

Another highly enjoyable family dinner at this distinctively Sardinian restaurant in the heart of Putney. Our pasta mains were inventive and appetising, and the Verdicchio by the glass was delicious.

Went as a group booking of 7. Good food and nice staff but availability was low (not enough steak for everyone) and food took almost an hour to come. Would recommend as an early evening couples night dinner

Had a booking for 8.30pm on a Saturday by which time they had already run out of one entree and two fish main courses that our table requested and the two people at an adjacent table. The wine offer arrived quite quick but we had to ask to have our order taken, and after at least 10 mins finishing the entree to ask for the plates to be removed. After dinner and without asking, the bill was delivered to our table and a few others simultaneously as if to announce it's time to go. The food we had was fine but the experience overall disappointing.

Isola del Sole; Putney: Lovely Sardinia restaurant. Great food, starters were uniformly great, main courses delicious - do try the pasta! And the chocolate pave for dessert was divine. Good service, great food, I have been here before, and I will definitely be back, one of the better places to eat in Putney.

The new menu at Isola del Sole is very creative and was delicious, if a little less varied than before, and the food had an added degree of refinement. The size of wine by the glass seemed smaller than before, but the home made olive bread to dip in olive oil and balsamic vinegar while we were choosing was a welcome innovation. The final bill seemed quite steep though, at around £40 a head with service for 2.5 courses and two glasses of wine. In spite of that, this is a favourite place.

Isola del Sole - Nice little Sardinian restaurant in Putney. The menu looked appetising but it was disappointing that 50% of the options were "not available tonight" on a Thursday evening. Of the 3 of us none of us were able to have our first choice of main course or dessert... Having said that, the main courses we did manage to get were well cooked and very nice. Desserts we a little disappointing though...

Isola del Sole has smartened up its already welcoming decor and menu too - highly authentic Sardinian specialities of all kinds. We shared a delicous plate of antipasti and went on to enjoy excellent pasta dishes - tagliatelle with quail, and large pasta tubes with a crab and fresh cherry tomato sauce (delicious). The strawberry tiramisu did not quite work for us, but otherwise this was a delicious meal in a friendly local restaurant that serves outstanding Italian food.

Although still lovely, standards of cooking were not up to usual standards. My prawns were overcooked, although the accompanying bottarga sauce was delicious. SImilarly, my husband's tuna was also a little overcooked, but caper and lemon sauce delicious, and of course pasta perfectly cooked. Desserts were divine!
