Fun, hip space on university near park blvd. open air courtyard for dining and drinks, as well as tables along the street-side window. small, tight menu with decent fare, but the cocktail/bar scene is where it's at here...
Please remove from Open table. They did not have our reservation and said they no longer participate through OT. That being said, he sat us down quickly as the restaurant was wide open and the experience was very good.
Inside Out no longer takes reservations through Open Table, luckily they had a table available. If you need a reservation, call them directly.
Great experience willreturn soon.
Great place to meet up with friends for cocktails and a meal!
Ridiculously loud bar and dining area! Absolutely deafening. Request upstairs dining room. Beautifully designed space. Excellent wait staff. Poke bowl average. Watermelon salad..beautiful presentation but very basic flavor. Octopus extremely tough
Fun time in a great looking space with yummy food and drinks!
Great venue but need to change up the menu. With only 5 entrees it’s very limiting. The steak is awesome, salmon delicious but...need more variety.
The food was amazing. Stunning build out. Great longing area. Excellent service. Highly recommended for a fun night out with friends or a date
I love our new hipster restaurant and bar! InsideOUT is just what Hillcrest needed - a happening, unique, energetic and classy place with top service, interesting menu and a lot of eye candy for everyone.
Been here a few times and you can’t beat the food and the staff. Tyler waited on us for the second time and his service is top notch. We’ll be back soon!
The reason for the lss then five stars on the food is the menu is very limited only one fish dish for the nonmeat eaters no outstanding
Don’t eat the food, it’s disgusting. We had a large party and everyone ordered different items. No one enjoyed the food but the drinks were good.
It was a hot day but at 6:30 PM we were quite uncomfortable sitting by the front windows. The overall experience unfortunately was memorable or for the wrong reasons.
The design is really cool - worth going just to see that....food was very good, nicely presented, but the noise level was really bad. Could barely hear each other, which was problematic. Fix the noise and it's a great place!
The toilet with the large window to the street (with a gauzy curtain) is....unusual!
I just rated the place a 5 in every category. I rarely gush like that, but there it is. It’s fun, it’s not too expensive, it has great design, the service is always competent, cheerful, and personal, and I really like the food. Can’t really ask for more.
Love the place! The only thing negative is I told they did not have the first two drinks that I tried to order. Rusty Nail and Mai tai
For those drinks I guess I will have to go elsewhere.
Will return !!
Solid new add to Hillcrest's already outstanding food scene. InsideOUT is only 3 months old, so they have a few kinks to work out (signage, service), but no real complaint. The menu is very nice - simple, yet tasty options. We had the avocado toast & tuna bowl, both of which were very good. It is mostly outside, even if you are "inside" so don't expect AC on the hot summer SD days.
I was so happy that we came to insideOut! Our server, Zach, and Paris were absolutely amazing and so welcoming. We will definitely be back!
The whole staff and everyone in it is good looking.
Amazing experience and food! The mix between Mediterranean and contemporary is just what you didn’t know you needed!
Hillcrest needed a place like this, and based upon the crowd and the noise level the community seems to have responded well. It was hard to have a conversation but the people watching was excellent and so were the cocktails, although I resorted to my usual Negroni and not one of the featured drinks. The service was good but the food could use some tweaking. It was definitely a huge step up from the other restaurants owned by this group but no better than the Cohn family faire.
Super energetic, beautiful setting and the food was FANTASTIC. Especially the steak you cook at your table on a hot stone. Interesting cocktail menu and bathrooms are a "must see." Super fun place w/ fabulous food. A bit loud, but we were a table of 4 and could easily converse.
I have been here twice and both experiences were amazing. The first visit was for brunch. Everyone loved their food although I don’t remember what everyone else ordered. I had the steak sandwich. Perfect meal. The craft cocktails are so different and very tasty. The food is expertly prepared and service is impeccable. Dinner was awesome as well. Our group had the filet mignon, Moroccan Chicken, Fideo Rosa, spinach strawberry salad and Caesar salad. Everyone was pleased. Dessert was over the top delicious and presented beautifully. Matt Ramon and Paris are killing it!
Food was good but dining room was too loud. You couldn't have a conversation without having to shout over each other. It was also very warm in the dining room.
Fantastic. Every visit is a great experience n
Our waiter was fun, friendly and efficient! The restaurant was a little hard to find, as there is no sign on the restaurant. But, once we found it, we had a wonderful night out! We'll be back!
The food is not bad but not great. It could use some fine tuning, especially in seasoning. For example, their frittatas are a bit bland as well as their brunch Ahi Poke. The Poke at night was much better for some reason. Also for brunch, for their smoked salmon plate they might want to reconsider the type of cheese they are using. I am assuming they are trying to do a spin on Lox but if you are going to do that, the cheese needs to be softer and more spreadable. The staff have been amazing and their drinks are delicious. We will continue to dine there. Hopefully, since they are new, they will work out any kinks and fine tune their dining experience.
Really loud; difficult to have a conversation. But still, a fun addition to Hillcrest.
Smoky Rose cocktail.. Fideo Rosa, Moroccan Chicken, Hot stone steaks.. all just so yummy!!
InsideOUT is a fabulous addition to Hillcrest and to good times in general!
I love this place. The cocktails, food and service were awesome! I love Chris Shaw, Matt Ramon and all the folks at Mo’s Universe. They know good food, service and our community.
Always the best time me on Hillcrest. Still working through some expected service kinks as a new venue, but excellent all the same.
Surprisingly good food but limited menu...place to see and be seen
These guys have raised the bar in the neighborhood! Great addition to the hood, very Vegas like.
Excellent addition to Mo’s stable of restaurants. A fresh menu and killer cocktails combined with the unique layout made this a great date night out. Glad to have them in the neighborhood!
Amazing food and service! Decor is stunning! What an experience!
Food was tasty, but menu choices were very limited. Maybe dinner menu is larger, but don’t know. Overall, not a bad experience, but won’t be on top of the go-to brunch list.
Great food and wonderful ambiance.
The staff is very friendly, and the drinks were great.
Enjoyed a nice dinner at this great new hip spot. Great ambiance. I'm in the wood business and loved the tables and accents. The colors and vibe of the place makes it feel very different than a normal restaurant and more like a place you would want to hang out and have a drink with friends. Cocktail menu is inspired and the few we tried were awesome! Loved the meal as well. Especially the burrata and beet appetizer and the Stone cooked Filet. Will definitely return
