Food was delicious, service was great and ambiance was perfect for cozy date night. We will not be able to go back regularly due to the cost, but would highly recommend for a nice night out!
From small and cozy spot to this New beautiful setting the constant is great food and service
Food was wonderful and very original. Great suggestion on wine. Very noisy but fun atmosphere. A little over priced.
This is our second visit to Il Posto. We tried different entrees. My wife has a dairy allergy and they were able to modify certain dishes to meet her requirements. Everything is made to order, fresh, and special.
We went to Il Posto with our son and his partner for a birthday celebration. Even though it is early spring, the menu represented spring -- everything from the apps to dessert was fabulous. We shared everything and the server handled that graciously. Nice wine list and assistance with Italian wines. The design of the restaurant is beautiful as well, and the noise control is pretty good. Thank you. We will return!
Love love love! Excellent service and amazing food.
Il Posto did a wonderful job of serving delicious food in a trendy yet unpretentious environment. The service was fantastic and friendly. Would highly recommend for a special evening.
If you like real Italian food where the portions of pasta are small, the entrees are flavorful and simple, and the atmosphere is convivial, we recommend Il Posto. It is NOT for people who like Carmine's. This is not Nanna's Italian food unless she was a chef in Milano. The only small complaint is that servers insisted on clearing plates before everyone at the table was ready. Otherwise, we were well-cared for and the staff was attentive.
Appetizers were highlite of meal. Service was tag team and spotty. Overpriced unremarkable entrees. Interior decor was nice. Go for a drink and app after work. Not for a dinner date.
The pappardelle was amazing!
Far and away the best restaurant in Denver- Andrea Frizzi never ceases to amaze! Tip: try the burrata- would put it up against any in the world!
Chefs counter brilliance!!
This is hands down the best Italian food in Denver. Very reliable and on point. I've never been disappointed and every visit is a real pleasure.
We loved our dinner here and the food, service and vibe are outstanding. It can be noisy upstairs but the view more than made up for that. Only thing I didn't love was the wine list which was very light on lower priced value wines and heavy on higher priced not so value wines. So please improve that. Offer some good wines in the 35 to 50 range please. We will be back!!
Warm welcome by hostess, but service quickly deteriorated. Water spilt on table, servers reaching over my partner to hand me food, empty dishes left on the table for extended periods of time, and the disappearance of our server.
Ambience on the second floor is terrific, with great views of city.
Appetizers were outstanding: fresh burrata and La Candela.
Entrees were underwhelming. We missed the owner!
We chose IL Posto for a birthday celebration after friends of ours highly recommended it. Despite arriving late we found our table empty waiting to be bussed and received a rather poor welcome from the hostess. Once we were seated we received so little attention from our server that we contemplated walking out before Ben turned our night around. Although he was very knowledgable and a joy to work with (the highlight of our night) it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall experience/quality of the meal. And to cap it off, I made note under the occasion section and in the special notes on my reservation that it was my girlfriends birthday and there was no mention of it from the staff all night. Needless to say we won’t be returning or referring our friends to Il Posto.
Awful service. We waited an hour and a half for our food and our server completely ignored us, while she joked around with coworkers. When we did get our food, my gnocchi was incredibly bland. My husband’s parallelle was fine, but nothing to write home about. Completely overpriced. I would never recommend this spot to anyone.
This was my second time at the new location. We started with the burrata-which was very good. I had the gnocchi for my entree. It had a funky taste-which wasn't the mushroom. The gnocchi were mushy. Maybe that is what they were going for-IDK. The artichoke served with the gnocchi was perfection-perfectly cooked and seasoned.
Desert was disappointing. We order the "doughnuts." They were nothing special and the creme sauce was served so sparingly there was only enough to dabble on one doughnut.
I did have two really nice glasses of wine; a white and a red.
Absolutely fabulous! Try the Beef Fat Candle - so unique and amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Carle did an incredible job. We basically let her decide our whole meal and we wouldn’t have changed a thing. We started with the chicken liver, octopus, and snow crab/potato balls. Then we had the pappardelle and risotto. The wines and cocktails didn’t let us down either. Please ask for her and give her all your money because she was the best and we couldn’t have asked for a better 35th birthday dinner
Great food, great service, beautiful setting, awesome sommelier.
Great experience! Went here for my birthday with girlfriends and sat in a booth.
Best northern Italian in Denver. Business or Date Night always the right choice. Great menu, great wine list, hip location. A++++++
Loved loved loved.
My wife and I became ill after the meal, probably the goat blue cheese salad that we shared.
Rest of the meal was acceptable, but nothing to rave about.
We were on our way to see two of our kids leave for Venezuela, where we usually reside.
For us is always a pleasure to dine at Il Posto.
I was there for restaurant week. I also did the wine pairing and tiramisu. It was probably one of the best meals I've ever had. I'm still drooling over the memories. I had the beef tartare, of which I could've eaten an entire bowl. I also had the orecchiette with brussels sprouts and a pork cheek maiale. It was so good! The wine pairings were also great. Great sommelier! My server was not as attentive as the sommelier, but everything else made up for it.
Delicious, good service, great views, best burrata in Denver so far, personable, great attitude, and overall creative dishes with fresh ingredients!
My Wife and I and another couple partook of Denver restaurant week. Since the menu was limited due to the special pricing, perhaps we did not get a full and true impression of the restaurant. Ambiance is comfortable, & service attentive. Some of us had the Zuppa while two of us ordered the Insalata. Everyone agreed that both were superb. Next, we all had the Pappardelle which, while tasty, was really just lasagna with the twist that it uses different pasta and the meat was pork. Finally, I had the Risotto which was superb, while the rest of the party had the Capesante, which while tasty, was served in an extremely small portions.
No one ordered dessert as we had to rush to the symphony. I was the only one ordering wine by the glass, and while superb (due to the recommendation of the Sommelier, it was somewhat pricey at $16.00/glass.
I came to il posto for Denver Restaurant Week and was completely blown away. The service, decor, view of downtown, and food were all great. Even with Restaurant Week being the exhausting beast it is, we were treated well and our food was hot, fresh, and amazing! I look forward to coming back to il posto to try other items on the menu or have a drink at their gorgeous bar.
Amazing wine list and sommelier, delicious homemade pasta, and wonderful ambiance. Service was attentive and kind.
My wife and I joined our son and his girlfriend for a family dinner. The food was outstanding, and the wine pairings were well thought out. An outstanding Denver restaurant!
One of my favorite restaurants in Denver before and after restaurant week! If you're not sure what bottle of wine is right for you, make sure to ask Ben - his knowledge of Italian wines is incredible.
Il Posto has become the cornerstone of dining on Larimer. You can tell the staff strives to make you feel welcomed from the moment you step in the door. From the warm greeting of the hostess, the attentive wait staff, the sommelier's advice, to the owner popping into your table to make sure everything was perfect. My group went here for a birthday dinner, and everything was excellent. I highly recommend the burrata. I've come back a handful of times to just get one of those and sit at the bar.
I came here for Denver Restaurant Week. Fantastic food, great service, extensive wine menu. It's $$ but totally worth it!
What a gorgeous, unique, and trendy place the new Il Posto is. I was there during Restaurant Week and every bite of each dish I tried was utterly amazing. The food, service and ambiance was impeccable. By far the best restaurant of the 5 I've tried this week.
We went to Il Posto during restaurant week for our anniversary. The food was delicious and they gave us a glass of champagne to celebrate. Needless to say, we felt spoiled and can't wait to return!
We went for restaurant week. The food was fantastic and the wine pairings were perfect! The sommelier was fantastic and took the time to talk to us about each pairing and each part of our meal!
I love this place. Il Posto never disappoints. Staff, food, ambience is always amazing.
