Your experience at Il Posto will be the ultimate journey for the time that you will spend with us.
Street parking is also available.
Our meal was good, but I wouldn't rush back. Really enjoyed the buratta and prosciutto appetizer. Pasta dishes were fine, but didn't blow we away. Chicken entree was really good. Service wasn't the best (waitress forgot several pieces of our order and was fairly absent most of the evening.)
We were seated two steps from the entrance, which was a strange location because it faced the host station and the wall, away from the restaurant and other customers, especially because what we sitting in (picture a curved booth with the back of the booth being 7ft tall) blocked the view of everything around us minus the host.
The burrata and osso bucco were great!
I love Il Posto! I feel like I step into Italy every time I go. Awesome staff!
Friends get together
Had a res but got seated at the crappy table near the bar. With a TON of open tables. Not impressed. Service was fine, nothing to be impressed with. I liked my pasta, my BF didn't love his. Wine we picked was great. Overall, we were really expecting better for the price and feedback we had heard.
Great location. Fantastic Calamari. I hear the Octopus is also wonderful. I think I would prefer the interior more in the evening as it feels very Lounge- like .
Were seated outdoors, at our request, and our first visit to the restaurant. Street area noisy and distracting, music on speakers had poor audio. An aural nightmare. Homeless people disrupting the patrons a the sidewalk seating and no effort my management to disperse. Waitress was nice, but slow, and seemed unengaged. Food deliverer was very good and informative. Cocktail was delivered with a bug in a glass.
Tried 3 appetizers which were hit and miss. Octopus app very tasty and visual, but way overpriced at $18.
Calamari was good, but tiny portion. Snail was good visually, but one snail was empty, and not much to it.
Veal special was a bit heavy and overcooked. So, overall you get my drift. Whether it was an off night (Wednesday), I don't know. There are many other better choices for $200 for 3 in Denver, so we won't be back.
We sat outside. The street was very crowded and noisy. The food was just okay. The wait staff was unfriendly.
We had an awesome time at Il Posto. All of the staff was very friendly, our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. The sommelier did a great job listening to what we were looking for and chose an excellent bottle of wine well within the price range we were looking for.
Excellent wine recommendation, as always. Pappardelle with pork is as good as it gets. Highly recommend this place for any occasion.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Il Posto! Our sommelier Max was outstanding and guided us to an excellent bottle of wine. Our food was all very good (highly recommend the burrata and the pork chop). My only complaint, the table we were at was very small and made it impossible to have our wine appetizers, glasses and plates all on the same table. When we asked our waitress to move our decanter to give us some space, she seemed very confused, though eventually we were able to set it on an empty table next to us. At a higher end Restaurant like this you’d expect this to be a no brainer. This didn’t dampen our meal at all, just thought it was odd. Overall we had good service, great food and will definitely be back!
Service was outstanding, the sommolier was very helpful and took the time to really find a great bottle for us. The food under-impressed, the appetizer was delicious, burrata with prosciutto, very nice. The secundi on the other hand was average for a place like this. The scallops we're okay but the surrounding dish as described by my wife was slime. My tuna was good but the portion was absolutely tiny. Decent place but we probably won't go back considering all the other options available.
Just fantastic. This was the restaurant we chose to spend our last night in Denver at, after living there for nearly a decade. This is a special restaurant
The service, food, and overall experience here are all exceptional! We sat at the chef’s counter and we had a great time.
Beautiful restaurant (the lights are a great focal point), excellent and sophisticated menu expertly executed, and friendly and well-informed staff.
Great spot for an Italian date night. Loved the bright airy space, sommelier recommendations, and great service. Food was tasty too.
Fun venue, good food, excellent waitress. Will definitely return and recommend to others.
Exceptional option for higher end but approachable Italian food. Chef’s counter highly recommended.
We'd eaten at the old Il Posto on 17th and always enjoyed our meals and the place in general.
The new location/staff/menu is a significant uptick from the original, with spectacular first courses,
excellent wait service and wine "counsel".
We will most certainly return even though it's a bit of a hike from Boulder with its thousands of
eateries! Il Posto stands out--we've recommended both Il Posto and The Bindery to our Denver pals.
Enjoyed the experience very much. The recommendations for food and wine were spot on and the evening was flawless. Wine sommelier, Max was super knowledgeable and fun to talk to.
Fantastic meal, unpretentious servers, reasonably priced
We will definitely be back!
Wait staff was great, the kitchen counter was fun (getting to watch the food get made and interact with the chefs was excellent) but the food itself was underwhelming. Most of the food was kind of bland, though it looked nice (top points for presentation, but loses on taste). Biggest problem with the food was just that it all had a very similar taste profile, really needed some citrus or acid to liven things up.
Best course was definitely the salad course, which was quite good, but the burratta appetizer was basically just a lump of cheese with some boring crackers (a crusty bread or some seeds on those would have helped), The Pappardelle pasta just tasted like a mediocre bolognese, the Gnocchi mostly tasted like mashed potatoes, and the Tuna was overcooked and had way too much bacon which made the whole dish basically taste like bacon instead of tuna.
Perhaps we were just expecting too much, it certainly wasn't a terrible dining experience, just disappointing.
Great location, beautiful decor and superb service.
Fantastic food and great service.
Outstanding! Snails were the best I have had.
The food was spectacular. The bar scene next door was distracting, and completely in opposition to what the kitchen and restaurant were working on. It was like Las Vegas, 20 something get drunk, scream and suck face in the hall.
Met with friends for a get together; had a great meal sitting at the kitchen bar. Tasty cocktails, the burrata is incredibly tasty and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Wine recommendation was also on point. Will be back soon!
We chose Il Posto b/c they care about the ingredients in their food and try to serve organic foods when possible. I felt silly making a reservation for 8:30 on a Monday night, but am glad I did. The atmosphere is thoughtful, and our server was great. (We were in the window enclosed loft, which I bet is fantastic at sunset.) We enjoyed all of the food, which was served at a thoughtful pace, but the La Tur (served with perfect risotto stuffed squash blossoms that had a touch of saffron, and drizzled with house made ramp honey) was so wonderful, with so much subtle depth of flavor, that I had to close my eyes with each bite. Frankly, I got a little choked up when I thought about how much effort went into the dish over time. (They buy as many ramps as possible when in season so that they can preserve them for later, and clearly the farmer who made that cheese loves his/her cows.)
I considered going back the next day for more La Tur without telling my husband, but opted to (barely) share it with him a couple of nights later before we headed to a movie. He was very happy to order the same pasta he'd eaten before. A great experience once again!
Our service was awesome! My husband and I are both servers at Morton's the Steakhouse, and we were so impressed by the entire staff. Very warm, friendly, and attentive. Can't wait to come back.
Service is outstanding. We sat on the patio which was very pleasant and more quiet than i think the inside must be. We ordered Buratta cheese. Beautiful presentation (on all dishes), however it was sort of tasteless. Might be our bad to order it. We had the insalata, with a black berry dressing, I think. It was non existent. Might as well as had no dressing. That was disappointing. I like a light dressing, but this had none. Salad was nice otherwise. I had the pasta with a pork red sauce and mushrooms. It was really great. Very tasty and rich. My partner had the spaghetti neri with shrimp and he loved. it. Spicy and very well done. We had the donuts for dessert. They seemed slightly undercooked in the middle, but still yummy. It was overall a nice evening. Loved my glass of red wine.
We had a great time chatting with the sommelier and the food was delish!
Always a favorite. Food is delicious, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Great place!
Fantastic service from the minute we walked into the door.
Took a while before someone took our drink order. Other than that, it was a pleasant experience.
I had the pleasure of being introduced to the Chef when i was in Denver 2015. He had a small restaurant all fresh ingredients...AMAZING! When I heard they moved and expanded but the Chef was still the owner/chef, I asked my boyfriend if we could try it again. OMG...SO wonderful and the food did not lose any of the quality or taste as when it was smaller. We had several appetizers that were out of this world...his zucchini blossoms and burrata with proscuitto. Nothing like you will taste else where. We both decide on the papperdalle pasta...reminded us of Italy...the quality and taste fantastic. We ended with the tiramisu...a couple of nice wines and espressos..what an evening!
Started out strong. Service slowed down. Wine was something we needed help with, but didnt get it so we picked on our own. Drinks took forever. Brought the courses out too fast. Food was ok at best. Split a main course and didnt bring out a separate plate to share with. Not impressed. Would be okay if I didnt fo back. Not the same as it used to be back in the day.
Steak was rubbery, food was overall was not worth the money. Won’t be returning.
