It was great abs service was amazing!
Intimate, affordable and with good food! We loved it!
Long time Il Fornaio diner. However our lunch was terrible. The food has gone downhill!! Lukewarm, bland minestrone soup, Caprese with hard mozzarella cheese, bland tomatoes, few basil leaves, one brown edged. NO Parmesan to sprinkle on soup, NO bread, olive oil and balsamic. The only thing that’s gone uphill are the prices. Oh, our servers were warm and attentive. New ownership??!
Great service. I really enjoyed our waiter Pepe as well.
The ambience was lovely. There were very few people inside and the tables were spaced safely. The server was patient and knowledgeable. All 3 of our meals were delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Food was delicious
it was exceptional. the server was very attentive. Food was very good.
Food was excellent and Ivan was our waiter who did an outstanding job. Will be back. They also set up a nice outdoor dining area to the side of the restaurant, which works really well.
Great food, and our sever was friendly and funny! Pasta was cooked perfectly.
I was extremely disappointed in the service. The food was just ok. My salad with Salmon wasn't good at al. The salmon proportion was small maybe 2oz for $12 and it was extremely dry.
It was a hot day, we should’ve been given a choice to sit inside or outside. We probably should’ve asked. Glad it was a shady area outside. Food is OK, but pasta a bit too al dente to my taste. Service is OK, but can be more attentive.
Great server! Lots of drag racing along Beverly Drive, not the fault of restaurant though. Good food, esp seafood!
Great service, accommodating, but limited Covid menu was disappointing and the pasta wasn’t good although they did remove it from the bill. Good ambience considering Covid. They made a nice outdoor area.
We love Il Fornaio for many years - they always go out of their way to make our experience exceptional!
Why so stingy on the bread and water service. Plenty of help walking around but not interested in really helping you! Poor service.
Great food great service. Beautiful outdoor dining area.
Our waiter was fantastic and made the experience memorable.
Very good location, great food and outstanding staff
First day dining with a small group since the pandemic. It was a warm day in Beverly Hills, and we were tucked in behind the faux hedge and spaced a comfortable 10' from the other tables so it felt safe. The staff was beyond amazing. In particular, we were dazzled by the service of our server Angelo who made sure we didn't want for anything. His runners and bus boys were also gracious and helpful. Ok now lets talk about the cuisine. Everything we had, from the appetizers, salads and pasta dishes were delicious. We ordered one of each desert and again, delicious. I am not a gourmet, but i am vegan and they had a few vegan items on the menu. Typically they are not that exciting but in this case, both dishes we ordered were amazing. My friends had salmon and also said was delicious. I have worked nearby the location and drive by it every single workday and never dined here before today. I am glad I did and look forward to going back!
I love this place it is such a nice atmosphere and the waiters are very nice and the food is excellent I would definitely go back many times
Used to be a LOT better..
Food became very italo-American..
Pasta full of garlic felt more like mulberry street..
Ambiance is nice but food is nowhere what it used to be.
With pandemic, the menus are limited and pricier than usual.
Delicious food; outdoor dining was enjoyable; service was excellent.
Great food and very safe out door dining. Service was good except it took quite along time to get your cocktails
Excellent customer service. The food was great.
Always a good solid meal. Everyone left feeling happy and full.
Cool evening. More heaters, had to wear a coat.Food and service outstanding..
Excellent staff. Very nice food.
Server was amazing! Helped us pronounce the items on the menu!
Great! The food was delicious, friendly service. We got seated right away.
As yet indoor seating isn't permitted, but there was a very nice eating area outside. It was a little chilly but there were heaters. The food and the service were very good. Two of us had the restaurant week special for $45 which was a good deal. Also, there have a good wine list, both by the bottle and the glass.
As is with all Los Angeles, the restaurant has adapted to outdoor dining only with enhanced sidewalk & street tables with a generally nice feeling except in the front of the restaurant which is located under harsh lighting. The menu had been reduced and was missing personal favorites like their spinach salad and calzone. The servers are friendly & attentive but it still feels like a watered-down experience at fairly high prices.
Very pricy with low quality food. Used to be good 2 years ago at my last visit but this time it was very disappointing.
I had a reservation for 1230 pm on Friday March 5th for two and I was there while my guest was 10 mins away. I had asked to be seated but they said they needed the full party there and I said I’ll buy an appetizer or drink and wait at the table in the meantime but they said no you have to stand outside and I said on the curb? And she said yes it’s city regulations. I thought this was disrespectful as it’s not like I’m waiting for a party of 5+ and will be taking up multiple tables. I will not be coming back here again it seems to tout a semi classy atmosphere but it is not like that when you are there. This is not the place for a great dining experience with friends moreso just a pitstop for lunch
Great food! Good prices! Excellent service! Will definitely go back!
Of course, this is COVID so probably wasn’t the best. But even with a limited menu, the restaurant did not have even the few selections printed
Service was ok. Servings were small compare to previous menu items (likely COVID related).
Had a better meal at Mayborne Hotel, which is up and coming....
Sun was in our eyes and no umbrella to help
I always love coming here but for some reason there was no fresh pepper available (was told it was covid but I’ve been here many times during covid and have had fresh pepper). Quality of ingredients seemed lacking. Will come again though as this just seemed to be a one off and we all have our bad days.
