Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those culinary and cultural influences to El Paseo in Palm Desert, and the New Downtown of Palm Springs.
Il Corso restaurant offers genuine Italian hospitality serving a wonderful variety of traditional Italian dishes, fresh salads, homemade pastas, wood oven pizzas and delicious seafood. In addition to our regular menu, Chef Mario prepares nightly specials from all over Italy like “the world’s best gnocchi,” and our house specialty, roasted leg of veal. Start your meal off with an Italian style inspired cocktail and remember to save room for all of your favorite Italian homemade desserts to complement your dinning experience.

    The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Our server Juan Torres was outstanding and anticipated our needs promptly, especially dinning with toddlers. We will definitely dine here again on our next visit to Palm Springs.

    This was our first visit to this restaurant. We went there for our anniversary and had a very nice time and a great meal. We would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a nice up-scale Italian dining experience. We plan on returning with friends soon.

    The food was delicious! The host at the front recommended the lasagna and lobster spaghetti. They definitely did not disappoint! The host was also very accommodating and helped us get seated a bit earlier than our reservation, which made a world of a difference for us that night. We will come back here in the future!

    Omar at the bar is excellent, is always personable friendly and efficient. We love sitting at the bar an watching him make the most amazing cocktails. The food is top notch and ambiance is inviting. We will always go back and enjoy a night out here.
