Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those culinary and cultural influences to El Paseo in Palm Desert, and the New Downtown of Palm Springs.
Il Corso restaurant offers genuine Italian hospitality serving a wonderful variety of traditional Italian dishes, fresh salads, homemade pastas, wood oven pizzas and delicious seafood. In addition to our regular menu, Chef Mario prepares nightly specials from all over Italy like “the world’s best gnocchi,” and our house specialty, roasted leg of veal. Our server Giovanni was terrific! He was knowledgeable and attentive and took care of my friend's birthday dessert. We are locals and we will return again and again. It's a great spot.

IL Corso was a perfect ending to our vacation in the Palm Springs area. Just need a dose of Italian food. Searched on Open Table and we made the right choice. Good service, a nice wine list and a well prepared meal. We highly recommend IL Corso.

We always enjoy ourselves at Il Corso-the food is delicious and our waiter Giovanni is charming and attentive. The outside area is wonderful.

Great service! Appreciate the accommodations and quick adjustments for our large party. Everyone was very kind and responsive. Our guests loved it! Thank you so much! (The drinks are amazing!)

As always, Il Corso was wonderful! Our waiter was great, the manager, Carlos, stopped by to make sure we were happy and our food was delicious. We had a great experience until the last few moments when a solo diner sat at the table next to ours and talked on her cell phone to catch her friend up on her day's activities. She was rude. Her waiter actually apologized for interrupting her call by asking for her order. Folks, if you need to be on your phone - do it before you sit down for dinner in a public place!
