Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those culinary and cultural influences to El Paseo in Palm Desert, and the New Downtown of Palm Springs.
Il Corso restaurant offers genuine Italian hospitality serving a wonderful variety of traditional Italian dishes, fresh salads, homemade pastas, wood oven pizzas and delicious seafood. In addition to our regular menu, Chef Mario prepares nightly specials from all over Italy like “the world’s best gnocchi,” and our house specialty, roasted leg of veal. Wow. What a crazy disappointment. This was not a crowded night. Only 5 tables filled. Asked for a Manhattan and was asked if I wanted it w ice. I’ve never had one w ice. Then served w a marichino cherry. Very low class. A high end place should know its w brandied cherry like Luxardo Worse still was the gelato desert. I asked if they could mix the three flavors. They said “no”. I’ve been to plenty of Italian restaurants where they have multiple flavors and you’re given three scoops of the flavors of one’s choice. Again. Not a busy night at all. They could have accommodated a very simple desert request. No explanation given. This restaurant came highly rated and the entrees were good but these odd things about the dessert and cocktail were poor customer service

Corso never disappoints, the service is always great, the location is perfect away from the busy street hidden behind the starbucks. Makes for s very relaxing atmosphere. The food is amazing, i have never been disappointed. Everything tastes fresh and delicious

Great meal at Il Corso. We enjoyed everything from cocktails to desert. Appreciated the great bottle of wine suggested by our attentive and friendly server. Atmosphere was lovely, if a bit noisy. Recommended.

Our go to place for pizza and cocktails in Palm Springs. We like sitting at the bar and watching Omar the expert mixologist - fascinating. The pizza is the best in Palm Springs. The pasta is outstanding. One can't go wrong at Il Corso

Ambiance is amazing. Food was excellent. I ordered the beet salad, best I’ve ever had. Also ordered , Ossobuco, delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant. One of the best cucumber martinis.
