Great looking place, great service but the food could have used more seasoning. I am born, raised in New Orleans and I like food with a bit more flavour.
Another excellent meal, love the turkey Rueben, great service from our waitress, Diamond- I never hesitate to recommend Ignite!
I had high hopes for Ignite; a great location and very nice interior design. It attempts to be upscale in decor and food pricing, but the wait staff attire is not commensurate with that theme.
As a "foodie" I was hoping for tastes that were really delightful and unique. Unfortunately, the best I can say is that their food was neither of those.
Very nice location , beautiful decor, Excellent Service, many seating options . Most of the food was excellent and presentation was great. However for the price paid for a steak it was a bit chewy, expected better. I would give it a try again and recommend to friends.
Love this restaurant. So inviting. Reminds me of CA.
Really glad we have another upscale location for business lunches in Lenexa. Always good, and the bread service is killer.
The restaurant itself was very cool, loved the look and ambience. Had lunch with a friend and I ordered the fried chicken sandwich . When I started eating I looked and thought the color looked off. Turns out they use a thigh so it’s both white and dark meat . Personally I dislike dark meat and the description never mentioned it. I assumed it was a normal chicken breast. When I mentioned to my server he just commented that it was a thigh and that it has more flavor so that’s why they use it. Fine, but the menu should be more clear. He noticed I wasn’t eating it but never made an effort to offer me another dish or compensate.
I may give it another try since it’s nice to finally have a cool restaurant in this area but I’m in no rush. I’m happy to visit Leawood or country club plaza where there are plenty of better options.
Had planned a Birthday dinner for my wife and myself. They recognized her several times during the occasion by saying “Welcome, and Happy Birthday” that made the evening more enjoyable.
First time for brunch and loved it!
We had Easter brunch with family. The staff was very helpful and accommodating as the weather delayed us. We had a table in our own little dining nook which was wonderful.
Everything we ordered as well as from the buffet was amazing. I enjoyed some of the best shrimp and grits and we'll definitely eat there again!
Great brunch and mimosas
I had brunch here on Easter and it was wonderful. I had eaten here twice before and 1 time was great, the other not so great. So I was pleased that I had a good time this visit. I am sure to be back!
Great Easter brunch with mimosa/bloody mary bar, huge buffet and dessert bar. Plus you order an entree from the menu. Notable are the empanadas on the buffet , the shrimp & grits entree and the warm apple or blackberry cobblers. More food than I need but all delicious!
Easter brunch. Very pricey. Food okay, selection okay. Sadly Brewbakers or Barleys selection is better. Bloody Mary bar was too expensive and they were not good. In a small glass too. Great food when not forced to eat Overpriced Brunch.
Excellent breakfast buffet and wonderful service
Excellent food with a variety of options and price points. The restaurant has tons of windows which was perfect for our sunset dinner.
Best food and service I could ask for
Service and food was superior. Salmon was cooked to perfection and enchilandas were wonderful. Very very nice evening.
My only complaint would be that the portions were small and the prices were steep.
Dinner was amazing, everything was delicious, there was great live music, the table was comfortable and our waitress was such a sweetheart. Definitely coming back soon!
Number one reason to go to Ignite is the ambience. Service is above average and food is creative and prepared well. Easy parking and access, too. Great neighborhood place
Wonderful staff. Fantastic food!
Great food and service. Somewhat noisy which just makes everybody talk even louder.
The charcuterie platter was an absolute joke for the price - simple cheap supermarket salami with creamed ricotta but the entree was good. Friendly service and over priced wine. Noisy with kids running and screaming in the restaurant. Will not dine here again.
We’ve been to Ignite several times now and it’s been outstanding each time. Seated right on our reservation time our server greeted us promptly. He suggested a couple of specialty drinks that were excellent and did a great job describing the specials. The appetizers and entree’s were beyond expectations. The side dishes are prepared with the same focus as the entree’s. Try Ignite, you’ll enjoy a great evening.
Way too loud inside. Waitress had hard time hearing us. We had to repeat things several tones. Our group o 6 also had a hard time taking to each other without raising our voices.
The restaurant was too noisy considering it wasn’t even full. Additionally, the food is over priced for what you get.
Our dinner was great. We tried the Spicy Tostada appetizer and it was sooo good. There are 3 on there and would have loved one more. We were disappointed there was no filet option on the menu, but I got the Shrimp and Scallops with a house salad and a side of butternut and Brussels sprouts. There were 2 big scallops and I think 6 jumbo shrimps that we’re fire grilled on skewers. They were very good. The side was so yummy as well. Had some cranberries and tasted fantastic. I got the house salad with the vinaigrette dresser they put on it. My husband did ranch instead and I would suggest sticking with the vinaigrette. He got the Ribeye. He said it was ok but wished he’s gotten the Strip instead. His side of loaded mashed potatoes was very good. We also had wine. My husband loved the Cabernet. He got a bottle. I got 2 glasses of their Moscato but those that drink Moscato for the sweetness like myself would think it’s not as sweet as most. Our waiter was John. He and the entire staff were very attentive, refilling our wine and water, etc. The place was very nice. Low lighting but not dim to the point of super romantic (so not creepy for a first date). Our bill was about $150 for what was mentioned. Portions filled us up perfectly with no leftovers.
The food wasn't very hot. The quality and taste was just ok for the money.
I may give it one more try.
I've ate at lots better restaurants.
This has become our go to spot on the west side town. Up until Ignite opened, good restaurants in Western Lenexa have been non-existent. We have been to Ignite about 5 times and every time the service has been excellent and the food just as good. I am looking forward to the patio opening once it warms up.
Greeted by hostess who couldn't find my reservation, a friend was already there and sat for 15min without realizing the rest of the group was there. Had to use a flashlight to read the menu, food was good but overpriced.
The night we went it was evacuated due to fire in kitchen. Never got to eat our food.
Forced to evacuate 30 minutes into our reservation due to a kitchen fire. Strangely, this has happened at least twice over the last year.
Meet a friend for lunch
This was our second visit and I was very underwhelmed this time. My tenderloin sandwich baguette was too hard to chew and not enjoyable. Our friend loved his pork shank, but I was not happy with my meal. However, this is a beautiful venue!
This place is amazing. I have eaten here 3 times before and it seems it just keeps being great!!! Fabulous food, beverage and service
Excellent service and food. Pretty pricey for frequent visits.
Amazing food and service!
Great food, especially the mussels!
