Great brunch!! Best unknown brunch around!
We initially sat in the bar for a drink. It was clean, the drinks were good and our server was nice.
We started with the mussels. They were nice and plump and the sauce had great flavor. I had the Cioppino, which was loaded with seafood and very tasty. My husband had the Mahi with the red pepper coulis. He said it was the best mahi mahi he’d ever had.
Our server, Diamond was absolutely the best server we’ve ever had. We have both been servers in the past, so we know when it comes to service. Collectively we have served over 30+ years. She anticipated our needs and coursed our food out with no overlap. We never felt rushed. Perfect! We had an overall perfect evening at Ignite and we’ll be back!🥂
Recommended for a Anniversary dinner specifically in Johnson County. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The service was behind approach. The menu was interesting in some ways ordinary as a typical modern farm to table theme. We both ordered the hanger steak with loaded mashed potatoes. The food was outstanding and I feel a very good value. I did not appreciate the live music offering but it did not detract from the experience. I like how the bar is separate and has an outstanding outdoor drink/dining area. Will return soon.
Our third experience at Ignite. Consistent service and food - very good. Food is as the server described it to be.
One of the best prepared steaks I have ever had. Nice job!
This was our third visit to Ignite. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and it was awful. It was so tough that I couldn't eat it on the bun. I tried using my knife and eventually just gave up and picked at it with my fingers.
One friend got the burger and it was just OK tonight. We'd had it before and recommended it to him.
The others ordered the pasta dish and it was just OK. I can make more flavorful dishes.
The patio is great until they open up the garage style door because it was so loud inside that we couldn't hear each other speak. We asked if they would shut it but no one ever came back out to close it or let us know anything.
All in all, the price is pretty expensive considering that the food is sub par. Not sure we'll be back.
With my new job, I'll be coming here much more often! Yes, it's pricey but so worth it. Just get the rib eye and split it. It's huge!
We went to the bar area to be just a little closer to watch the Royals game. The ambiance out there is absolutely amazing.
Very nice staff and the lamb was awesome along with desert.
I had note in my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday. There was no acknowledgment of our celebration. Order sauce with ribeye and was not given to me until after I started eating my steak.
The menu has been upgraded recently and the food was very good. If the weather is nice, it’s great to enjoy a glass of wine on the patio.
Overall a great experience! The food and service was amazing!
Had a great time. Cool format! Great menu. Service was excellent and the sunset was awesome. And my date was beautiful!
It was nice, a little loud and hard to hear conversation. The hangar steak was tough but lamb chops excellent.
It was a perfect day for their outdoor patio. I have been here a few times and their lunch menu was my favorite!
Good food, date got a salad she really liked and I enjoyed my burger
Food was outstanding with large portion size for the price. Great Whiskey selection. We were given excellent service by our waitress, gave great recommendations on food and drinks
Restaurant is very modern/sleek. Our server Wills (I believe) was off the charts great at his job. Food was only okay for the pricing. Rotisserie chicken was flavorless. Chicken enchiladas had very little to no cheese. Crab cakes were very overpriced for size and content, there was very little crab and lots of bread crumbs. Only a smear on the plate of sauce had to ask for some on the side. The recommendation for dessert was horrible, apple cobbler. It too had very few apples with lots of mushy breading. 5 people shared and we didn't finish it. So if your going for a nice building and a great server go for it, food not so good.
Ignite is our new fave place for brunch! Selecting an entree from the menu wasn't as difficult as choosing from the additional side dishes! Great assortment, everything was delicious and the desserts were wonderful! I recommend trying this brunch soon! Well priced too!
I miss the lemon/dill sauce that used to be on the Salmon. I liked it on the MahiMahi. The Ramesco Sauce is good, but not nearly as good as the lemon/dill sauce.
3rd time eating here with friends. Great food, great service and great value
Food very good. Only reason not to give 5 stars was the mozzarella appetizer was almost inedible, the bread was completely stale and the tomatoes, mozzarella, and olives were bland. However, the entrees were awesome! As long as you stay away from that app it is a definite recommendation!
Our server Justin was great. He also had large party he was waiting on and we never felt ignored. We'll be back.
Lamb chops we're fantastic. Service was extremely attentive but not overbearing.
Food was outstanding!!!
Both couples in our party split the special porterhouse steak. For $80 it was a good fire grilled steak, but nothing out of this world. It was inadequately seasoned.
This was my 5th or 6th time to Ignite. I have been wonderfully impressed every other time and had finally decided it was our "place to go when we do it nicer" place. It was our "Plaza restaurant closer to home." BUT... this time the steak was just... plain. It was cooked ok, but there was little taste at all. Nothing special about it. It was NOT a $40 steak or a $150 meal. It has us rethinking our assumptions about the place. I hope this was a rare occurrence.
First time dining here. Food was good, atmosphere was good.
Before making our reservation we checked out the dinner menu online; however, two of the menu items we were interested in weren’t on the menu at the restaurant. Also, not to sound selfish, but I added to the online reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, but no one at the restaurant seemed aware, unlike almost any other restaurant. Otherwise, the waiter was attentive and the food was good. The restaurant was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. We were quite disappointed overall.
The waiter was very knowledgeable and seemed genuinely happy to be serving us. He never said “No Problem”, thank you! Very unique cuisine.
Had Sunday brunch and it was great. Service was excellent. Will definitely go back.
Food was overpriced and the cuisine was very poor.
For a place that’s ‘known’ for their rotisserie chicken, I was pretty disappointed. No flavor whatsoever, dry, and just boring. It’s as if they forgot to season it, or marinade it before they cooked it (The store bought chickens are 10x better). We also had the cheese dip (also with chicken in it), and had about 3 bites before realizing how poor it was. Chips were very greasy and unsalted too. They went uneaten. On the flip side, our server Justin was very attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, and did a great job. Fun, but noisy atmosphere (no acoustical thought at all to the design- think high school cafeteria). Hope their steaks are good, because I don’t know how this place is going to make it another year, and for the prices on the menu, they’d better be! I probably won’t go back for the food, just maybe the outdoor bar.
Great patio & bar area.
The food is fantastic! I can’t wait to go back and try other meals, so many of them looked incredible!! Our server was very knowledgeable and nice.
$105 for two sub par flavorless steaks, with only drinking water. This is definitely a one and done for me. Just saying, you asked!
Delicious. Steak was wonderful and the pasta I had was delicious. My daughter had mac and cheese and wouldn’t eat it; go figure. Come to find out, we all thought thay was the BEST mac and cheese we’d ever tasted.
Waitor was great.
Ambiance was fabulous.
Food was tasty.
The food was good and the portions reasonable. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere fun. I actually liked the appetizers better than the meal. The meal was good, but overpriced.
Went there for our daughter's 38th birthday dinner, along with our 6 year old granddaughter and son-in-law. There is no child's menu. The waiter was joyless and had a demeanor as if he hated his job and was in a living hell. With no child's menu, our granddaughter had a mac and cheese appetizer as her meal (no fruit or veggie options were offered by the waiter to go with it). My daughter and I had alcoholic drinks (watermelon and strawberry fresca) and the drinks did not seem to have any alcohol in them for the $10 each that they cost! The food was fine but not good enough to override the deficiencies at this restaurant. The selection of desserts is terrible...no chocolate cake, cheese cake or ice cream Sunday. Desserts consist only of cherry cobbler, rum cake and bread pudding. Despite the fact that it was a birthday dinner, nothing was offered to my daughter, but honestly she would not have eaten any of those 3 desserts. That said, it would have been nice for the waiter to have at least offered. They have ice cream that goes with the cobbler and my husband asked if they would make a small ice cream Sunday and the waiter said no! We have never had that happen before. Every restaurant we have been to that has ice cream at all will make an ice cream Sunday when asked, even if it's not on the menu. I agree with the sentiment offered by another reviewer: "Service was poor. food was decent. Had an event going on but felt undervalued." We will not go back.
We had made reservations and were seated right away when we arrived.
AMBIANCE-The restaurant is asthetically very nice however the acoustics/noise level is AWFUL. My guest and I had to yell and repeat almost everything we said the entire evening. I recommend going there during regular meal time. Only go if you can do so during off hours if you want to talk to anyone at your own table.
SERVICE-Also our wait for food was ridiculous once we ordered and our waiter acted as though he could hardly wait to go home. When asked questions he was not helpful. Whether it was about wine or items on the menu. Vague and abrupt.
FOOD - The items we ordered tasted pretty good once we got them.
OVERALL- We were really looking forward to trying Ignite and drive quite always yo get there but doubt we will hurry to return anytime soon. Hopefully things will improve.
The food is good, but not great. The servers seem a little preoccupied. The prices are on the high side.
