We’ve eaten here a few times and as always our food was great and our waitress/waiter was very attentive! I’m very pleased with this restaurant!
Went to Ignite for brunch with my girlfriend. Food was solid. Service was great. Definitely going back.
We had a great Father's Day brunch with one exception. The website shows the brunch price is $18 dollars for the buffet and the entree. This seems reasonable - on Father's Day Ignite raised the price to 27.99 per person and this was not noted on the website. We decided to eat here anyway because we did not have reservations anywhere else. The food was good but I was mad that they charged more without notice. Doubt that I will go back.
Amazing experience - the staff was attentive and informative without being overbearing or intrusive; the food was done to perfection and outstanding. The decor was upscale and inviting. Can't say enough about our experience at Ignite - truly an exceptional restaurant.
My friend and I had a wonderful dinner here. The cavatelli pasta alone would be enough to bring us back. Add to that a stylish yet comfortable ambiance, a great bar and attentive service, and we'll definitely be coming back soon.
Good meal. Had the tenderloin. Was center cut so nice and tender. Good flavor. Had Yukon mashed potatoes and red beans and rice for sides. Both were good and the red beans & rice were a nice change of pace.
Every food item was superb - lots of fascinating items on the menu and I hope to try them all! Servers were helpful, very cordial and attentive without ever seeming to hover. VERY imaginative restaurant design so that garage doors can be opened to reconfigure the restaurant!! * for sure!
We ordered the half rotisserie chicken and the shrimp/scallop for our entrees. The chicken was tasty but dry, even the dark meat. The shrimp was overcooked and tough but the scallops were spot on. Entree flavors were good, but we were disappointed with the side dishes. The "creamed spinach and fennel" did not deserve the "creamed" label as it seemed more cheesy than creamy. It tasted bland and we discerned no fennel flavor in the dish. Similarly, the braised red cabbage was, well, unremarkable. The house salad (ordered as a side) was served at room temperature and was slightly under-dressed. The best side for us was the mashed Yukon potatoes. Creamy consistency with good potato flavor and nicely seasoned.
The service was excellent. We expressed our disappointment in the food to our server and a manager stopped by our table and offered a complimentary dessert (we declined).
The dining room is open and noisy. There were at least two large parties (12+) dining which may have contributed to the noise level.
Ignite is one of our favorite spots in all of KC. Service is the best and always consistent. Will has taken care of us a few times and is great. If you haven’t tried it out, get there. Outdoor bar is a great spot, too.
My husband and I went to Ignite for the first time but it will not be our last! The ambience, decor, service and food were amazing. Everything from the homemade bread to the entrees and sides and wonderful cobbler were delicious.
Justin was a great server. The food was amazing and the bar drinks were perfect.
Food was decent. We had the KC Strip and Pork wrapped in bacon. Sides were interesting but not spectacular. Restaurant felt warm/humid and my bench seat was worn and uncomfortable. Waitress was good but felt like ambience and food should have been better for a meal over $100.
Anniversary dinner. Ok, menu limited and a little noisy. Food was good.
I wanted to write this review due to our last bad experience I reviewed a couple of weeks ago. We stuck with sharing the mussels (delicious) and a burger (also quite good). Very happy and great experience for good value.
People make a difference for a great experience! You have Great staff that is concerned about making our visit memorable. Thank you!
Beautiful atmosphere. A booth gave us a fantastic sunset view. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Food was tasty, fresh, and worth returning to Ignite.
Fun. Loved the food. Enjoyed Michelle
Food was very good. Service was very attentive. First time visit, but will go back.
I heard this place was amazing so decided to try it out for Mother’s Day. Maybe it was the afternoon rush but the food left much to be desired. The prime rib was way too rare, the buffet lacked fresh items, and they ran out of a few key things. My steak and eggs entree was decent but could have been better seasoned. The burger on the brunch menu does not come with fries so beware when ordering. You will have to order fries a la carte. The waffle was very dense and flavorless (and came out cold) and the chicken and waffles is only served with dark meat. I like dark meat but the option for white meat would be nice for those who don’t.
The web site also needs to be update to reflect serving times. It says brunch is from 10-3pm so we hoped to order off the dinner menu. However, brunch actually ended at 4pm. Maybe this was a special time due to Mother’s Day, but it still should be posted and communicated to all of the staff since our waiter thought we could order off of the dinner menu.
The food wasn’t what my family expected, but we had a very nice waiter and the manager even stopped by to greet us and explain the menu.
O.K., so in the past I have really enjoyed my Ignite experience; I recommend them a lot, and have given good reviews. However- my family took me there for Mothers Day, and what a disaster. So, so disappointing. They were in no way prepared, and had obviously brought in several extras waitstaff that had no business being there.
They don't have a very good brunch, and the "experience" of going to the bar to get your own brunch beverage was ridiculous. The server and bartender explained that it was in order to make your own Bellini, Bloody Mary or Mimosa from all their special toppings- most of which were empty bowls. Just sad. The brunch buffet suffered from empty bowls as well. C'mon folks- for $18?
We did have a (manager?) stop by and ask how things were going, and oddly enough- he just walked away as we addressed the bar questions. Very unprofessional.
I'll probably go back and give them another chance and hope that it was just a really OFF day, but it was a big disappointment for that day.
We ate here for mother's day and everything from the food, atmosphere and service was phenomenal.
We went to Ignite for Mothers Day. The food was delicious and varied, had a unique make your own drink bar and yummy dessert bar. The ambiance was very nice and we plan to go back and enjoy their outside bar area one evening.
Mothers Day brunch was excellent!
Food was expensive. Like, more than Capital Grille expensive. The kids menu needs work, and the portions are tiny compared to other places.
Food was excellent and atmosphere was nice. Seemed a little pricey for lunch.
The service was excellent, Don was our server and very good at his position. We came for Sunday brunch and it just was not what we were used to or had expected. We thought the open selections were few and none of them had names (signs) so not for sure what it was. The price was good and the ordered entree was very good. All in all it was, well ok but I don't think we'll try brunch again for some time. We will come in for dinner soon and we hope our experience is better,
We went to an early "Mother's Day" celebration and Ignite delivered! Delicious food, great atmosphere on the patio, and excellent service. We will be back!
We had a great dinner! Both are entrees were really good, yummy sides ad my husband even splurged on dessert that was great as well. Loved the decor, ambiance and vibe. I just recommend ed it to a group of friends last night.
This was our 6th or 7th time to eat at Ignite. This was also our first disappointment. The waiter talked us into trying the new T-bone with Lobster tail and Prawns. $80. The T-bone was not good. The filet side of the T-bone was inedible. Total gristle and tough. We were also not impressed with either the lobster or the prawns. I would have rated the food lower, but the sides were very good and we were gifted cherry cobbler which was delicious. I also want to say the service was very good and the manager showed much concern. In addition to the cobbler, she had the kitchen bring us a filet, which was excellent. Everyone can get a bad steak now and then. This was a new item and I hope their supplier delivers better cuts in the future.
Dinner was really good. Nice atmosphere. Staff was friendly.
We were seared at a table at which two of the party had to stare into the sun for the entire meal. It was quite uncomfortable. Even after a complaint no one attempted to alleviate the problem. I mentioned the problem again as we were leaving and the head man just laughed at me.
The food is great, service is awesome we always have a great time!
Bar service was excellent. Great selection of wines, beers & hard liquor. Food was fantastic. The steaks were done perfectly. Outside patio was comfy. My one & issue was price. Just a bit high!
I have only been here twice but both times the food has been excellent. The cojita corn is amazing! I was looking forward to the chocolate flourless cake but they took it off the menu.
As always, the staff was excellent and the food was exceptional.
Sun coming through windows was blinding for quite a while even with blinds pulled down. Then sun reflected off building next to Ignite again blinding light. Had to keep head down to avoid looking into sun! Our server was fantastic. Did not rush us at all which we appreciated. Love the vegetable sides. Disappointed you took porterhouse for two off menu. That is what we initially came for so had to make another selection.
Mitch is very personable and the food is always great! It's my neighborhood go-to place!
Great food and nice place!!
Great spot to meet friends. Outdoor patio is delightful.
We had a good time at the restaurant, overall. But felt like we didn't get our $ worth.
I think the high prices and a la carte menu should come with better service, and free bread service. Service was good, but not outstanding. This is standard when you go to place like Bristol or Sullivans which are priced at the same level as Ignite. It just came short for us considering that it costs just as much as going to a real fine dining restaurant.
