Ignite Wood Fire Grill
KC restaurant week lunch menu was good wanted to try this restaurant but the prices are to high for me.. this worked out very well for me.
Nice setting, open space good, service excellent, food good not quite gormet’. The drinks well done. Pricing maybe on the high side for the level of cuizine. Was shocked to see a charge for ice in my drink!?!? Overall did enjoy the meal. Announced ahead it was for a birthday but saw no response.
Great food, great service! Was easy to hear everyone at my table and overall had a wonderful time.
Great service and wonderful ambiance! We are looking forward to spending our summer evenings at this place. :)
Very good service and food was wonderful.
Went for a group lunch for 5. All of us were pleased with our meal and our service. Great food!
Food was great. Mediocre salad, bland. Hanger steak was great and salmon was very tasty.
Servers were fun and helpful.
Second time here and I'm impressed. The food was fantastic and our server Micah was great. He took time to talk to us and genuinely was proud to represent Ignite. The flavors of the food are elevated, certainly not your typical bar food, even though there are two (two!) large bars in this establishment. Though it is January and snow covers the ground, I did make the mental note to go back and check out their large outdoor patio. I also want to try their Sunday Brunch, which at $15 sounds reasonably priced and as an app buffet sounds like plenty of selection. Overall, Ignite is one of those secret gems that Lenexa should be proud to have.
Ignite has a great environment and the overall experience was great!
Our server was an extremely attentive and pleasant. Kudos to Brandon and his amazing ribs. A definite MUST TRY when you are here. Sorry Q39, you some competition when it comes to these ribs.
Basically the restaurant has the food quality of an Applebee's with much better decor. The look of the restaurant, the ambience, was really cool. I liked the open flames outside, especially because it was snowing. But, I had higher expectations for the food. The lunch menu is totally affordable, but for the lunch menu price point, I did expect better. The turkey reuben was dry and flavorless. The Hatfield burger was really just a regular burger with onions but not juicy or good flavor. The fries were barely pieces and very greasy. The salad and poloze was good.
This restaurant is barely fair. We will certainly not go back. For the price it's extremely underwhelming. The food was just ok.....nothing to write home about and certainly nothing to return for. We went on a night during a snow storm and the restaurant was by no means packed, however our server was MIA most of the night. She served our wine and we didn't see her again until she brought the bill. I wanted to take my 80% uneaten meal home, however she never boxed it up and brought it back, Since we were ready to forget the entire evening, we didn't try tracking her down and simply left. Save your dining experiences for somewhere else.
Server was wonderful but that was the highlight of dinner. Food was okay. Polenta was horrible. Noise level so high everyone seems to be shouting. Doubt we’ll go back.
Took forever to initially get waited on. Food was average at best, and expensive at that.
It is becoming one of my clear favorite American style restaurant.
Awesome experience! The wine connoisseur was fabulous and very entertaining and fun. Waiter very friendly and quick to check on our table and made sure that we were taken care of. Didn’t forget about our water either. Will be back to check out restaurant week and happy hour. Very excited about trying the new wine flight of the month!
Overall, the experience was okay; ambiance was great. The service was also great and the wine flight had a few very good wines. However, the price you pay for the food is very overpriced. I had the rib-eye, loaded mashed potatoes and ceasar salad. The salad was very plain, it didn't even come with shaved Parmesan cheese on top. I ordered a ribeye cooked medium; it came out overcooked, the outer inch of the steak all around was very done (burnt on the outside as well) and middle was just slightly pink. The mashed potatoes portion was tiny and very bland. We definitely ate everything on our plates since the portions were so small. For a $50 meal (plus drinks on top of that), I expect to at least be quite full after the meal. However, that wasn't the case. Probably will not be going back when there are other options that fill you up more and cost less.
The menu on open table was totally wrong, we would not have come, we were just looking for sandwiches and salads
Entries were wonderful (pork shank an chicken). Would prefer the cornbread without the peppers! Crab cakes just so-so for a $16 appetizer (and why 5 of them? should be even number - people often split appetizers). Service was very good. Ambiance was nice if a bit loud.
I wish that I could give Ignite a higher rating. While the service & hospitality of their team was top-notch, the food was disappointing for our entire party of four.
New Year’s Eve
Good drinks and nice variety to menu, friendly staff, modern decor and high energy ambiance. Prices are reasonable. Only critiques would be that music was a little loud and vegetables were overcooked, but overall a positive experience - fun place for a quick, local evening out.
Great food on the menu, service is always spectacular. Easy to get a reservation. Great for business meetings, special occasion dinners, and group reservations.
Overpriced; also several other groups seated in our area had to use their cell phone flashlights to read the menu due absence of overhead lighting. That's embarrassing (or should be!)
Sorry for this review but I'm just being forthright and honest....
Our waitress was more interested in a table of men instead of attending to her other customers. We got our appetizer ok and our salads but our dinner came 45 minutes after that. The loaded mashed potatoes were like soup and tasted terrible. I’m sure they were instant. Our reservation was at 4:30 and I guess I expected more.
The food was not good. Very disappointing for what we paid. Service was good, beautiful place but that’s about it.
Changed menu two weeks ago and only have one sandwich on menu after 4p, and it is a rib eye steak sandwich for $26.
They changed their menu and I had a hard time finding something to order.
5 stars all around 🌟
1). Very poor service: we never once were asked to have our drinks refilled. We had to stop a server as they passed and ask them if they could do this for us. I ordered a sandwich and it was supposed to come with a special horseradish sauce. It didn’t. Again we had to ask for it.
2) way too dark. We had to bring out our cell phone flash lights to read the menu.
3) my sandwich cost $26! It was good, but $26 for a small sandwich?
The food was excellent. If you don’t mind horrible service, eating in the dark and over paying, this is a great place to eat.
Cold over salted food. The chicken dip was ok. The salad was beyond limp with little flavor and the penne pasta was incredibly salty. Won't be back.
1st time here. I had heard good things and Ignite did not disappoint. Fantastic restaurant, I would recommend to everyone.
Lovely space, excellent staff and good food. I had one of the best pieces of salmon I've had in some time and my husband had an excellently cooked steak.
Very nice restaurant but the menu is very limiting and doesn't offer many entree's at more reasonable prices. You need more variety of choices.
Quite pricey with sides, etc. at an additional cost. Food tastes good. Great decor and bar! Happy hour is a great way to experience this place.
Pleasant environment, elegant atmosphere and very good food and service!!
Went for a birthday dinner. Fabulous environment.
Chicken was phenomenal.
Mashed potatoes were delicious, but came out cold.
Mac & Cheese was delicious.
One guest got the $48 steak (don't recall the cut), but didn't finish it because it was tough and chewy; that being said, the seasoning and cook was on point.
Would recommend and return again.
Loved the entire experience. My friend and I did the wine flight with dinner and it was awesome to try wines I wouldn’t normally try. Most the table did the filet which I got to try and it was perfectly cooked. So delicious. I had the chicken which was awesome as well.
Thus was our first time here. We had reservations and were seated at a table by the bar, tv and server station. We should have asked for another table because the location ruined the atmosphere and ambiance. Next time we’ll know. However the good and service was excellent. We had ciopinno snd pork shank and they were wonderful.
