Excellent!! I’m glad we made a reservation...it was busy.
The service was great! Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. The food was superb - in quality and taste. Best Brussels sprouts ever!!
They make their own gin, vodka, whiskey and wine. Even their own tonic. We bought several bottles.
Can’t wait to return! I would drive from Denver just to eat (and drink) here!!
Extra tip: stay at Wild Horse Inn - awesome bed & breakfast!

Great spot with fantastic food and spirits distilled on premises. Got a tour of how they make their whiskey. Quite something to see. Perfect for date night or a bigger group.

Best food in winter park! Very friendly. A bit slow in service but still will choose it over all else.

Food was incredible (truffle fries and pork chop, especially) and our server was top notch. Our group REALLY enjoyed our experience. Only word of “warning” is that this was a longer, more European-paced meal (or at least it was with a group of 7 on a Saturday night). I personally love this, but you may want to allow more time if you have somewhere to be after dinner. Thanks, Idlewild crew!

What a pleasant surprise to find this funky establishment hidden away in Winter Park! We visited on St. Patty's Day and they had a nice selection of drink and food specials. Probably the best corned beef and cabbage I have ever had - spicy Guinness mustard sauce was delish. We were delighted with the bagpipes during dinner. Truly memorable and fun evening. Wait staff is super-friendly and helpful with the menu. Drinks are strong and with the altitude, a little goes a long way. Lots of variety of liquors, which is sometimes rare at a distillery. Will definitely return next time we are in Winter Park.

Very, very poor service. The owner tried to rectify but needs to be more careful about who he hires.

Go for the drinks....stay for the food! Best chef in Winter Park. Really fun atmosphere with creative food and drink menu. A visit to WP isn't complete without a stop at Idlewild!

Even with a reservation, it took us over 50 minutes to get any food at the table, this included appetizers of olives and a salad. Once the food finally arrived, it was unremarkable and both the short ribs and hanger steak were smothered in overly sweet glazes. Two hungry guys who skied all day and can definitely put away some meat, took home doggie bags that never even ended up being eaten as leftovers.

WOW! In town for a family ski trip and stumbled upon this place. Everything was ridiculously amazing - Brussel sprouts, spare ribs, tuna, hanger steak.....the brownie dessert with the BACON praline ice cream!! Outstanding!! The spicy jefe drink was amazing as well!! This is a MUST if in Winter Park!!

Incredible food. Great drinks. Unique awesome ambiance in the barrel room. It’s obvious they take great pride in their work and have extremely high standards of quality. After dining there, we decided to book our rehearsal dinner in this amazing place.

Very loud but good food and service. Love that they make their own spirits which were delicious! A hidden gem in winter park.

If you are looking for elevated bar food, this is not the place. I love spinach artichoke dip and did not eat this one. It got to hard as it cooled. It was just too thick. The truffle fries were "meh", not much flavor. There was a spicy type of mayo (maybe chipotle) over the fries-but that didn't work with the truffle flavor-and the truffle flavor was lacking. We sent back the brussel sprouts as they were soaked in soy sauce. The brussel sprout leaves soaked up the soy sauce and were in edible. There were very few intact brussel sprouts on the place, and those were tiny. The platter had mostly just separate leaves. Our waiter did remove that from our bill-as we barely touched it.
Our server was nice, but kept forgetting us.

All positive except the comfort of the chairs at the tables....both kinds are awful! Couch/plush chair/coffee table eating looks great!

Food is awesome, crab Mac n cheese delicious! Great liquors, craft cocktails, 2 thumbs up!

Our first server was an airhead. Second server completely made up for first server putting our order 25 minutes late. Food was awesome. We had steak, salad, and spinach artichoke dip. Drinks were awesome. I had the flight of whiskey and she had a mule.

The food was decent. Service was ok but sort of slow. Didn’t care for the spare ribs but the corn pudding that came with them was delicious.

The entire staff seemed overwhelmed on a moderately busy evening. The food was pretty good, but not coursed at all; my appetizer salad came out 2 minutes before our entrees and my entree was missing a side. Overall the staff were nice enough and the food was tasty - but being “busy” is no excuse for poor execution when a table of 2 is spending $200.

Repeat performance was tremendously better. They took care of our first round of drinks. The spirits, food and service were excellent.

We have found a new local favorite.

The establishment was closed for a private party, but didn't block reservations in Open Table. We showed up and were turned away. They invited us back 2 nights later and bought our first round. It was a nice makeup.
