Hy's Calgary is a modern rendition of the classic steakhouse tradition. Pride of place is held by the circular, glass enclosed grill room, producing perfect charcoal grilled Canadian Prime Grade steaks. The horseshoe shaped bar is surrounded by lounge and dining spaces that are both spacious and intimate. The menu features classic and newly imagined recipes, but Hy's favourites, like the famous Caesar salad and Steak Diane, are still prepared tableside. The extensive wine list, and delicious, hand crafted cocktails, promise something for every taste. Our first time in Calgary was made extra special thanks to Dino, our server. He provided amazing service—he was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely attentive throughout our meal. Dino is by far one of the best servers we've ever had, and we will definitely be coming back because of him. Thank you for such a memorable dining experience!

I highly recommend Hy’s Steakhouse. The food was top notch. Our waiter “Dino” was very attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. The service was prompt, and they ensured we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Their positive attitude added to the enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend! Will be back.

We went to celebrate a birthday and they made it memorable by wishing the guest of honour a happy birthday when we sat down and when we ordered dessert it came with a candle and they trimmed the plate with chocolate sauce that said happy birthday and even when we left the hostess wished us happy birthday again. Truly a remarkable experience!!

We went for a birthday dinner and from before even arriving at Hy’s Mackenna was able to accommodate my reservation complications. When we finally arrived we were greeted with a “happy birthday” from the staff and were quickly brought to our window side table. Dino served us and did an amazing job. He was very knowledgeable, attentive and helpful with any and all of the questions we had for him whether they were food related or not (loved talking cars with the guy). Dino was also very detailed with everything and made sure our table-prepared salad was perfect. Thank you Dino and Hy’s for a great experience for us both.

Excellent dinner. Very nice old school steak house with excellent steaks and sides. Loved the tableside caesar salad service. Overall a great experience and we will be back on our next trip to Calgary!

Our waiter Geno was outstanding. Drinks and food were awesome. Caesar salad second to none and our steak dinners were perfect. We especially liked the time Geno gave us between foods and drinks
