Delicious food! Excellent service! Very spendy! Ribeye was $70, but very tasty. We were seated on overflow balcony due to Covid restrictions, so surroundings were austere, uninspiring. Like being at the kid’s table...but overall, a beautiful property with great food and drinks. Look ahead at menu and pricing.
Such amazing fresh fish and ingredients! The pineapple upside down cake was to die for!
Excellent food and view when sitting outside was beautiful.
As always, food and service are awesome. Amazing flavor combinations from the appetizer thru the main course.
Unfortunately, a negative tone was set on our experience from the moment we walked into the restaurant. The guests ahead of us were asked if they prefer outdoor or indoor seating. However, we were not asked for our preference and we not given outdoor seating even though we had included in our reservation request. Being told we try to accommodate these requests as best as we can didn’t sit right as it was so casually offered to the prior table. Disappointed as we are are guests of the hotel and had looked forward to dining here multiple times during our stay. The service fell far too short for us to return.
Ordered ribs, mixed greens and catch of day and potato crusted fresh catch (it was snapper). All were excellent, especially the potato crusted snapper. It was a light dish but deep on flavor and the potato crust is definitely a creative preparation compared to other restaurants. I was a bit suspicious when we came here since I am not a big fan of Roy Yamaguchi’s chain, Roy’s, but Humble stands on its own and doesn’t disappoint. Also, the beer tap is excellent. Although this is in the Marriott, it’s somewhat casual. They validate parking.
Very nice experience, service was very good and food was delicious. Ribs fantastic. We were that crazy about the fried chicken entree, but the fish was good!
Sunset was a perfect pairing with the great atmosphere.
Excellent food and service. They do need a larger vegetarian option since it was pretty limited.
Hit or miss. Dumplings were the best thing we had, followed by the brussel sprouts. Caesar salad was among the most boring I’ve ever had - unacceptable for the price they are charging. Advertised house made croutons, but they were the same ones I buy in a bag at the grocery store. Decent happy hour, but it’s only offered in the bar
They validate parking...for us...it was 2hrs and would've cost $30. View of ocean is really great. The butterfish is their best dish...but the short ribs were amazing.
Tanya was our server, she gave great suggestions — perfect service.
We lingered over our dinner from the best calamari appetizer, through catch of the day for me, with salad, and a rich lava cake desert. All while watching whales play, breach and slap their tails—snd a beautiful sunset.
Good food, friendly attentive service, price point is high as one would expect with a hotel restaurant.
Good food and nice ambiance. The staff was friendly and it was very convenient for anyone staying at a resort on the beach.
Excellent food.
The ambiance was great, service way good as well. The potato crusted fish with “risotto” was good, way under seasoned though...needed salt badly.
We’d requested outdoor seating due to Covid concerns but ended up being directed to an indoor table. We had to argue with the hostess who eventually agreed to sit us at a very uninspiring ballroom balcony (outdoors) with no apologies or explanations. The food was good albeit pricey and table service was attentive enough. It could have been a better experience with more accommodating or better trained hosting staff.
The food was nothing special. We had high hopes because it was a Roy Yamaguchi restaurant, but food was not great. We had two appetizers each instead of a main entree.
Enjoyed the breakfast, but quality of food did not live up to cost.
It was a great experience. Food was good they could’ve offered the regular menu because I didn’t know on Valentine’s Day it was a pre fixed menu. When the server called me she said they added the pre fixed menu on top of there regular menu. But other than that the Gm I think he was our server and he was excellent.
Hostess was rather rude about giving us an outside table after we requested it. Had to wait another 90 mins. Our actual server was quite rushed and snippy. Food was good, but nothing outstanding for the price. So many other options in Wailea that we won’t return.
We did multiple rounds of apps and adult beverages. Wait staff seemed put off by us not ordering dinners though they seemed to lighten up a bit towards the end. Food was fantastic and cocktails were great!
Overall an amazing dinning experience!
Surf and turf was delicious and loved the Brussels Sprouts dish (we got a second order to take home).
Celbreated a birthday and the staff was very welcoming. We all had a lovely meal, raves for the potato crusted fish and the short ribs. Grilled butterfly fish also well liked. They separated our salads for sharing and had a wonderful view of the sunset on the deck.
Excellent service, friendly staff and lovely venue. The staff really went out of their way to make it a lovely experience.
Great dining experience, sat outside with a warm breeze. Dumplings and Brussels sprouts to start and then shrimp scampi and the local potato crusted fish for entrees. They were all delicious but the chocolate souflee really ‘took the cake’!
Food was good not great. Outdoor seating is great for sunset
Always a nice dining experience with good ambiance and a 10/10 menu.
Great creative food but a bit pricey
Ambiance: Being next to the ocean for location is always a great thing, which would bring me back.
Food was par for the course for breakfast. Nothing really special...not memorable enough to go back.
Service was ok...server didn’t really engage until it was time for the check.
Customer Satisfaction was below average. Asked for peanut butter and was told the guava jelly is really good. PB and Jelly are two very different requests and tastes.
No wait as I made a reservation and Covid protocol was in place.
Service was awesome! Food was amazing. And the view was beautiful.
Amazing service! Dessert was excellent. The Herb Crusted Mahi was bland. Okd Fashioned drink had too much ice. French fries were the frozen kind, my son was not into it. Still a great experience!
Great quality food, just very expensive. Other than that all good
We'd dined there twice in 2 weeks then came back a third time just for dessert. The Pineapple Upside Down Cake is to die for!!! We ALWAYS order it with an extra dip of ice cream and an extra side of sauce. absolutely incredible!!!!
Together with 4 girlfriends on a much needed Wailea staycation, we had an amazing meal at Humble Kitchen. The food, service, and setting was perfect for a special celebratory treat. Standouts were the small plates - chicken wings, sashimi, Brussels sprouts, and the fresh fish entrees. The chocolate lava cake was perfection!
This is my new favorite Wailea restaurant.
Wonderful friendly service!! JoJo and Anthony were absolutely the best!!!
Alan was wonderful! We came back for breakfast the next day! Staff is awesome, food is delicious!
Some of the dishes were a disappointment.
Brussels sprouts, shrimp scampi, fish preparation
Short ribs and pineapple upside cake were excellent
Waitress was not always available on tome
Fantastic experience tonight at HMK. It’s always great but extra special tonight for my wife and daughter. The food was amazing as always. From the ribs and salads to my wife’s vegetarian meal, and my daughter and my fish, everything was superb. The chocolate soufflé was a perfect end to the meal. We all left stuffed. Special kudos to our server Alan. He took care of us as a family and as individuals in ways I’ve never seen in a restaurant employee before. He is extremely attentive and went out of his way to handle our special requests.
There are a lot of restaurants on Maui. Many of them could take a lesson in serving great food and having amazing customer-centric service from HMK. Pacific O comes to mind. Don’t waste your money at that dump. Terrible food and worse service. Always.
Humble Market Kitchen is our favorite restaurant on the island.
Great happy hour!
