                                                  It was Day 3 of Restaurant week and a 10:30am reservation was made. One would think items on a pre-fixe menu would be fully stocked. Their menu included bottomless prickly pear margaritas, avocado toast OR lemon berry waffles plus, a date parfait. When we were given the Restaurant Week menu, the waiter explained they were OUT of the avocado toast AND the date parfait! Participating in Restaurant week and only providing 50% of a 4 item menu is unacceptable. We explained we came for the avocado toast and politely excused ourselves. The waiter actually laughed and said, "We were out of eggs yesterday." This was definitely not a good way to promote their business. I usually only write reviews on yelp for quality service, but felt others needed to have a head's up with this restaurant.

                                                  The menu is small but the short rib and burger were amazing. I also can never say no to crème brûlée. Also highly recommend the olives and truffle fries. We both enjoyed our drinks from the bar, especially the citrus fizz for me. Very cozy inside with not much seating room but great for an intimate dinner. Well-decorated like a whimsical mid century saloon matching with the overall hotel vibe. We stayed at the hotel so we also drank at the poolside bar, I recommend the cooler.

                                                  The food from the restaurant was mid at best. Not bad for pool side food but not what we expected for Mother's Day brunch. Service was really good. Loved our waiter.

                                                  Great Palm Springs under-the-radar option for a large group. We had pizzas, tacos and sandwiches and it was very good. And, the service was efficient and gracious. We had 13 of us and they took care of us well.

                                                  I never actually got to eat there since I arrived for our reservation and found the restaurant was closed!!!! The manager of the hotel said, "Oh, yeah, we've been working on fixing that!" So, I was left without a reservation anywhere and a friend showing up to nothing! Her only suggestion was a mediocre steak restaurant across the street. I'm shocked that the restaurant would allow OpenTable to accept the reservation when the restaurant is closed on certain nights. This must be a VERY SIMPLE fix!! And the lack of any real apology or interest in helping me given their mistake - unforgivable. To be fair, she offered to google somewhere but the reality is that during high season in Palm Springs, there are NO last minute reservations at anywhere good!

                                                  The interior of the restaurant was nicely remodeled, but unfortunately, that was the only highlight of this experience. Our drinks took an unusually long time to arrive. I originally asked for an Arnold Palmer, but was told they didn’t have lemonade—yet the overpriced mocktail I ended up with tasted like it had lemonade in it. My friend ordered an espresso martini, which she did enjoy. We started with truffle fries, which arrived cold and soggy about 35 minutes after we ordered them. Based on that and the overall atmosphere, we decided to skip ordering dinner, as we didn’t have high hopes for the rest of the meal.
