    Truely fantastic! Best prime rib I have had in years (and I’ve had a few this month). Service was outstanding from host to table, delivery and manager follow up. Our server had a wonderful and larger table next to our 4 top, it never seemed like she was rushed or underwater. She handled it all with grace in what could be a challenging time. The staff was a well oiled machine and produced memorable service and food, thank you to all at the Shawnee Hereford House. First visit and looking forward to next time in town.

    Hereford House Shawnee is a good restaurant for getting a reservation on short notice and still receiving quality service and food. I would definitely go back again.

    I always enjoy my visits to Hereford House in Shawnee. This time, we ordered the pulled pork sandwich and the country fried chicken. Both meals were superb! Drinks were always full, and employees checked on us throughout the meal. I'll be back!

    Haven’t been in many years. Went for dinner, and I was shocked by how tasty the items were. Bobbie was the nicest server. Will be back soon, I didn’t realize that Hereford house is a 10/10 on non steak items. My new neighborhood spot!

    It was Thanksgiving so what’s not to love? However the staff seemed very under prepared. There was a wait for everything, even just someone coming by the table to greet us. We also never received the items that were listed as items for the table. We asked for the creamy horseradish that was on the list and initially received raw horseradish. We are easy going people and I used to work in the hospitality industry so I’m not as harsh as many people would be, but we certainly didn’t receive what we paid for and will try a different restaurant for next year’s festivities. Everyone was very nice and the food we did get was very good, but the wait time and items we didn’t receive impacted our experience.

    We plan to attend Thanksgiving at this restaurant again next year, so to keep the number of people down to a manageable level and not too crowded , just think of it as being bad--LOL! We had a great time and recommend it to everyone.

    We have had Thanksgiving at Hereford House for four years and this was terrible. The food was not good at all and the servers were way overworked even though there were many staff members. Very disappointed!

    Prime Rib was very grisly, dressing had no seasoning, and turkey was dry. Last year's Thanksgiving meal was 10 times better, which is why we returned this year. Very disappointed in the food. Our server, Michelle, was excellent.

    We were there to celebrate a birthday. Reservations were easily made. We enjoy the ambiance of this restaurant. The food is impeccable. We had the cheesy crab dip, excellent starter. Drinks were really good, tried the smoke Manhattan. We also had the salad, their homemade salad dressing makes the salad. Fresh, hot bread with butter. The steak I ordered was done to perfection. Our server was very attentive and punctual with all our orders.

    We’ve been to this location many times and have always enjoyed it. This visit fell short however. We heard multiple customers complaining about slow service, food orders coming out wrong and running out of items on the menu. Our service was very slow, we recieved one wrong side item and the quality of the prime rib was poor. They seem to have been overwhelmed or understaffed? It just seemed like several customers were unhappy and the staff seemed frustrated. Not a pleasurable experience.

    A wonderful evening for Veteran's Day. Steaks were cooked to perfection! If you haven't had the S'mores Pie, you are seriously missing out!

    My husband & I particularly love Hereford House, Shawnee location. We drive over an hour to eat here, never a disappointment with Food or Service. Prime rib hands down excellent. Had a little trouble with bill which was resolved by Mark, the GM. We were there because my husband is a Veteran & also a cattle farmer & we enjoy a higher end meal. On this occasion the percentage off for the Veterans meal was not totally defined by the email I was sent being a VIP member. It was resolved & it was a very busy Saturday night for staff. I understand the stress of running a restaurant well. This is the only disagreement we’ve ever encountered in our many many visits as loyal customers. We absolutely still recommend HH Shawnee, thank you!

    Our waitress was very nice, but appeared to be overwhelmed and had to check on a couple of things. As it was our 47th wedding anniversary and when I make reservations online this was asked. I had to mention this to her as I thought we generally received dessert for this occasion. She never refilled our water. Just appeared overwhelmed and maybe not properly trained

    Restaurant was understaffed. Our waiter also bar tended and often couldn’t get to us. We had to go to the bar to get steak knives and to order a glass of wine. Restaurant needs remodeled too. Definitely showing its age and doesn’t look like an upscale steak restaurant.

    This Hereford house is usually pretty consistent. There was some confusion on our wine order. The waitress said that they would comp the mistake but when I received the bill I was charged for the glass of wine that remained 3/4 full on our table due to the bar getting the order incorrect. When I requested that the waitress honor the comp she became indignant and said since we kept the wine we had to pay for it. Maybe it was just an off night but my wire and I will strongly consider not going back to this establishment because of the negative interaction.

    The service was excellent. We were seated a bit before a large party came in. They were really noisy men (actually bar noisy) and the manager quickly moved us to another table which was very appreciated. We had visitors from out of town and I picked Herford House because of it's ambience and food. For this, I give them all 5 stars thanks to the manager.

    It's slightly nicer than an Outback Steakhouse, but they're charging twice the price, and I'm not sure the steak is any better. Far better options for a nice steak dinner.

    We were sitting in the bar area when I asked for standard seating . The bartender quit . The waiter behind the bar was yelling that he needed for help . Then the female wait staff came to help and she was yelling at the other wait staff . They were really stressed . Could not keep there emotions in place . The filet I had had stringy like substance . Flavor was good though but I couldn’t swallow it . My Safire gin martini was made with a knock off brand Gin. I watch him make it but didn’t return it because the first martini was made with Vodka and he had to remake it for the gin . We usually like coming there for dinner but not one our best experience. How they can get it figure out or we won’t be back .

    Nice late night dinner. Not busy at 8:15pm. Lots of gluten free options for my celiac hubby! Loved the cast iron skillet jalapeño cornbread. Steak soup was yummy. Some miscommunication on the salad order, but all in all a great time!
