California mix, avocado, and cucumber
California mix, shrimp tempura, and cucumber, wrapped in avocado and eel drizzled with sweet soy
It was really tasty as usual, but they were not doing happy hour on account of covid and my pocketbook could not handle the priciness.
Our daughter came home from out of state college after 3 mos. Cejebrating her successful semester!
Hapa is always a great choice, very consistent food and service. We sat outside on a nice night and the heaters kept us plenty warm. I recommend their patio!
Server was sweet
Sat outside under heater, temp in high 40’s and we we’re very comfy w/o coats. Great presentation. Good drinks and food. Would def recommend.
Good place food are small plates but good
Great experience, friendly staff. Will be back soon.
The service was excellent, the food was not. Fishy. Inedible.
Hapa is always a good time and the food is always delicious, though def pricey.
Good food with average service. Some menu names are inappropriate, though.
Had a great experience, even with all of the Covid restorations. Food was Amazing, great drinks and the service was top notch! Will definitely be back again soon!
Always great atmosphere and food, sake etc. had a female waitress that was clearly unmotivated and not moving very fast!!!
Girls night out. Had fun.
Very enjoyable. Excellent friendly service.
The food and ambiance were perfect...
We sat at the bar and our bartender/server was very accommodating .
We will be back.
Good fish didn’t find the wait person responsive. Asked for more wasabi and never got it. I am a regular.
Hapa has a great happy hour menu! I go there almost every time I visit Denver.
Creative menu-- been eating here for years. Always great!
The staff is outstanding. Love all the outdoor seating. Best sushi! Great quality.
Great service. We had a blast!
This is my first visit to the new location and it lives up to the other locations. Met a friend for lunch and was able to do a reservation for outdoor dining. It’s a little chilly on cooler days as the outside dining is all shaded (very nice on warm days!). The nigiri was amazing as always. I had the shake and himachi. So so good! Calamari is excellent as well. Will for sure come back to this location when I’m in Cherry Creek North
Sushi lunch sampler and shashimi lunch sampler all good, no complaints. This is the second time I've been here in the new cherry creek location and I have to say the food is better than the old cherry creek location.
Hapa always exceeds our expectations! Service is outstanding and the food was delicious as always!
Everything we ordered was fresh and well prepared. Had to ask for soy sauce and water a few times but even so, Service was outstanding. No negatives. May be important for some to know that outdoor seating is a narrow space and servers as well as guests pass by closely. Everyone was wearing a mask if they weren’t seated so it was not an issue for us.
Good basic sushi. I like the new location, and the outside seating
Great food. Good prices. Hapa FTW.
I’m so frustrated by this place the food is quite good (and I’ve had great sushi), but this is the second trip that something disappointing has happened. The last time two family members got sick after eating there (and they ate from the same dish) and this time there was a long hair in my food. The Mgt said they thought it was banana leaves (I had the traditionally roasted pork bowl) but upon further reflection I just don’t think so. And it didn’t help that I then witnessed a young man in uniform enter the dining area throwing his long hair around (evidently he’d just come on duty), pulling his hands through it. I’ve had traditionally prepared Hawaiian meals and never had strips of leaves found in my dish. BUT, Mgt was super gracious in dealing with the issue but I think that’s our last visit.
New location for Hapa Cherry Creek was great! Food was incredible as always.
Waiter was fantastic
We came in before 5 for an early dinner. We didn’t have reservations. There were some people already eating. We went to get a table and were told because they have reservations at 5:00 coming in that wouldn’t be able to seat us. They were “fully committed with reservations that evening”. We weren’t given a wait time. We were just turned away. As we walked down the street, I popped in open table to see if there were any reservations for the evening. They had openings at 5:15. So I made a reservation since that seemed to be the only way to eat there. When we came back, they said they had found a table for us after all 🙄 and then proceeded to seat us in the melt random table in literally the corner of the restaurant. Their host staff was completely unprofessional and made our dinner very hard to enjoy from the get go. They were not welcoming or accommodating. I was very disappointed.
The sake selection is not that great and the house sake I tried was terrible. They made up their own descriptive names for the house sakes so you cant tell the sake quality and the brewery names. Not sure why? The sushi were just ok-nothing great. The service was attentive and friendly and they had a separate gluten-free menu and they were careful with making sure with replacing the soy sauce with a gluten-free one. Paying almost $40 for two orders of so-so sushi was kind of disappointing. Sushi rice was not of good quality and the soy sauce was too salty.
Staff is always nice, food is good but pricy (especially sushi) except for a few items that are not so easy to spot on the menu (as my son says: “Duh, we are in Cherry Creek”). A good place for dining with friends or family, not date material but an upscale friendly place.
Their outdoor seating is great! The new indoor space looked good too. Good distancing and great place to hang out with a toddler.
We dined on a Saturday night and sat on the patio on the St Paul side of the street. The Monkey Brain appetizer was really good as was the Scotty's Salmon (sashimi) and hamachi. The shrimp in the Pakalolo Shrimp dish was very good, grilled but the dipping sauce was too runny. You dip the shrimp in it and the sauce would just run off completely so you are not able to taste the sauce. The toffee banana bread dessert was warm and good but lacked toffee flavor and the strawberries seemed out of place.
Kid friendly place to grab quick sushi. The people are nice lots of tables outside to dine
Date night mediocre sushi
Enjoyed outdoor seating for dinner. Wonderful as usual! Thank you.
Our server was great! First time visiting loved the food. Server gave excellent suggestions.
Great sushi as always! Love the Gluten free options here
