Had a brief and uncomfortable experience with an employee that was disturbingly unprofessional accusing my fiancée of feeding our service animal even though we didn’t. We had to get up and walk out before we were served food because of how hostile the staff was. Extremely puzzled by this behavior, and clearly the rest of the customers were bothered by her raising her voice at us. Edit: Owners response is lacking understanding. No one in our party fed the dog. That would have been easy to verify with any of your cameras on site, but instead you are doubling down on your accusation with no evidence that it occurred. The situation was not handled politely by your staff, which is why we decided to leave. The lady that approached us was aggressive and volatile. Your response lacks empathy and a desire to understand the situation further. I would be happy to discuss further about how your staff can improve for future scenarios, but it seems you would be stubborn with your insensitive accusations. Truly disgusted with the staff and owner.

Thank you for visiting us. We also feel disappointed that the situation unfolded the way it did. However, we would like to clarify a few important points. We are a restaurant where each table is equipped with a grill for guests to cook their food. For hygiene and safety reasons, only certified service dogs are allowed. Feeding pets inside the restaurant is not permitted. In this case, multiple staff and regular customers saw someone in your party feeding your dog. Based on this, we politely addressed the situation and explained our policy. At no point did we ask you to leave. We only informed you of our rules, and it was your own decision to exit the restaurant. We are committed to providing a safe and comfortable dining experience for all of our guests. Thank you for your understanding.

This is our second time at this restaurant and we got the same kind server both times The food is delicious. The bartender whipped me a delicious off menu yuzu mocktail which was greatly appreciated. This time we tried the course option that was a combination of American Washu and Japanese Miyazaki beef. All of the selections were delicious. The beef sushi was amazing. The Miyazaki filet literally had me melting. We will absolutely continue to return

We ordered the Miyazaki omakase for two. Good quality but somehow not the same with the A5 ar had in Ginza, Tokyo. Portion was small, I would order the sirloin and/or sukiyaki only next time, a much better value. Service was excellent however.

Thank you for visiting us and for your feedback. While we understand the comparison to Ginza, we’d like to clarify that our Tokyo area location is in Shibuya, and we also operate in Kanagawa. If you’re in Japan again, we’d love to welcome you at Han no Daidokoro there. Despite differences in logistics here in Hawaii, we strive to match the quality of Japan as closely as possible. Our Miyazaki beef is imported chilled from Japan and prepared by Japanese chefs to maintain authenticity. The omakase includes various cuts in smaller portions to highlight the differences in flavor and texture. That said, we’ve shared your comments with our kitchen team for future reference.
