GUSTAZO is one of the very few authentic Cuban restaurants in the Boston area. Located in Waltham downtown facing the Common, it offers traditional Cuban cuisine in a modern and inventive way. The ambiance is reminiscent of Spanish colonial architecture, with hand painted tiles, wall to wall pictures of old Havana and Spanish filigree motives.
Signature dishes include Slow Roasted Pork, Enchilado de Mariscos, Empanadas, Camarones al Ajillo and the luxurious Cuban flan.

Delicious and innovative food and very good service. Plantain chips only thing just ok.

Had excellent service at every point in the evening, including the host, waitress and bus staff. All were very friendly, accommodating and allowed us to enjoy the meal without being rushed. The food was delicious and authentic!

Definitely worth the trip; will go again. Happy they have more space than the prior location in Belmont.

Loved, loved, loved Gustazo! The octopus was amazing. All the food was really delicious. It was cozy and laid back, perfect for Valentines Day.

What an enjoyable meal we had here! The beverage menu leaves much to be desired, but the food and ambience were quite lovely and the service was warm and hospitable. We'll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone with even the least bit of curiosity.

It was a last minute decision to have a Valentine's lunch date. Great choice. Friendly service, great food. My husband thought the Polenta con Camarones al Ajillohe was one of the best dishes he'd ever had. And the churros were unbelievably delicious!

The dinner menu was varied & all contained fresh ingredients.
Unfortunately the entry way lets in the cold, anyone sitting by the door has to put up with the cold since the door does not remain closed.
I asked one of the waitresses to keep on eye on the door. She was not pleased.

We were seated in the side room so we could really hear ourselves talk. We had outstanding food. We have been several times before and have to push ourselves to try new items because we love everything we have tried! The beet salad, mussels and garlic shrimp were super delicious--more flavorful than other dishes elsewhere with the same names. The empanada was distinct and perfectly fried. Lamb chop sauce was complex and tasty. Pork belly dish was crispy and not very oily at all. There are plenty of vegetarian dishes to choose from. Our waiter gave helpful tips also. Sangria was great, too, with lots of fruit. If you want unusual food that is delicious and unique, this place never disappoints.

I've been here several times for both brunch and dinner. The food is always delicious and well portioned (neither too small nor too large). The environment is also enjoyable - well appointed decor and music. I always enjoy coming here.

The menu is mainly tapas (though there are entrees too, but we only got tapas) and the 6 of us thought the food was very very tasty. The special cocktail that night involved fresh squeezed pineapple juice and rum and was delicious too.

Went here for a birthday dinner. The good was tasty and savory. I was a little disappointed that despite writing birthday on the reservation they didn't really do anything to acknowledge it. The service was a tad slow but they were busy. Overall a good dining experience.

Gustazo hits that sweet spot of very creative cuisine that does not break the bank. I loved all three of my small plates - Cazuela de Coliflor Asada, Garbanzos con Espinaca and Robo en Cazuela (I think that was the name - Braised Oxtail over polenta). The flavors of everything I have had in the 3-4 visits to Gustazo have all been exceptional. Cannot praise them enough!

Met a girlfriend here for dinner and we didn't know what to expect. I got the mariscada and she got the bisteca, and we were both thrilled with our meals. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, but we didn't see her enough. I spent 10 minutes trying to flag someone down to get another glass of wine. I attribute this more to her having too many tables than to her serving talent, and she was very apologetic when she did finally come back. I loved this place and can't wait to go back and get the exact same dish again!
