Fun Father’s Day Brunch!
Enjoyed the restaurant, but the portions were rather silly. I understand it was happy hour but they went full boujee. The “quesadilla” was a taco and barely warranted the name. It was the size of my palm. The taste was good enough. The drinks were great though. Our waiter was very attentive too
Absolutely one of my “must go to” each time I’m in Austin.
From the cocktails to appetizers and dinner. Delicious! Unfortunately we never have room for dessert, which I’m certain is also great. The food and cocktails are the star at Grizzelda’s! You will not be disappointed. Service is also stellar. Cant say enough about it -just go! Make a reservation. You won’t be disappointed.
Fun & delish meal as always! It was a very hot afternoon when we so maybe just a few more fans in the patio would be awesome.
Way over priced, super under seasoned. Bad cocktails. Staff was friendly and replaced a poorly made cocktail.
This was a very nice dinner spot. Their happy hour is amazing. Service was great! We ordered the beef fajitas and I will say, they were very bland. No seasoning. The little bites from Happy Hour were amazing! Also, during the summer heat, I wish they would not allow the door to remain open for so long. Too hot and too many flies.
Food was pretty good, servers were abundant but sparse, atmosphere was exciting and dim but the noise level is very high.
Love the atmosphere, ambience and cute patio! Happy hour was a steal. Delicious drinks and food and lots of furry friends!
Grizzelda’s did not disappoint! Brunch was so delicious. We had a small issue with our reservation but they were so accommodating and moved our large party of nine outside. Our waiter was outstanding!! We are a high maintenance crew and he was patient, answered all of our questions, made great suggestions and kept the Mamosa‘s flowing. He made our experience so much more enjoyable!! Thanks Collin! We will be back! ;)
Service was great and so is the atmosphere. This was our first time. The food looked great but didn't fully deliver on taste. We all found our food to be flat. Flavors are there but lacked salt or something to brighten them up. Bloody Mary was good but halfway thru it was all celery salt with every sip. Flour tortillas were not great; wouldn't call them store bought but didn't taste like they're made on site.
Chilaquilles were ok. Again no real flavor punch.
The horchata french toast was a good idea but you don't really get horchata when you bite into it. The bread was tough and chewy and very little syrup on top.
Ironically the best dish was the chicken and waffles. Not what should stand out at a Mexican eatery.
Overall feels more like a hangout spot where the food doesn't really matter.
Our waitress was super good! All the other food people who assisted were also friendly.
Delicious and good vibe with solid drinks - fun for dinner and brunch
We were not impressed and will not be back. Overall lack luster.
Absolutely loved the food and the decor/vibe was a lot of fun but not overdone. A few bachelorette parties but they weren't distracting. The music/noise was a little loud to hear our conversation but aside from that, loved it and will be back!
Love the patio and the energetic vibe! We came on a Friday during a torrential storm so at first we were concerned how this was going to play out, but they had umbrellas covering the open areas, so we were protected from the rain and were able to enjoy the cool breeze, good drinks and delicious food.
We started with a variety of drinks....cardi b, spicy marg, S&M, and the bad girl ri ri. The favorites were the spicy marg and cardi b. Their drink menu is on point and with so many specialty cocktails to choose from, I am sure you will find one that suits you.
We shared the queso, guacamole, and street corn. I love street corn, but I was not a fan of theirs. The chips and salsa are also bomb and I am seriously going to call them to see if I can buy the chips by the bag. They are the thick, crispy chips and not the thin cheap ones from the grocery store.
For mains, we dined on the grilled shrimp and sizzling beef fajitas, chicken enchiladas and ceviche. Everything was delicious!
Great food and great service!
Our server was excellent as was the food. and we had a great time!
Very friendly hostess & server. Chose patio outside, which was a little hot but they had big fans. Cool vibe, really pretty drinks, tasty food. Got the fancy beef fajitas & shrimp tacos - hubs said steak was a little undercooked, but we had fun. Good for date night
Great spot, eclectic decor, and nice brunch menu.
We were seriously disappointed with their brunch. We showed up for the bottomless mimosas and the yummy menu offerings. This was the first time we all had hung out together in over a year so we were prepared to have a special morning. Right off the bat, when we were sat down, we were told that we had to be out by 1:45 (we were a few minutes late to our res and respected that they needed to prep table for their next res). Our waitress introduced herself and said she would be back in a few to get our drink order. We waited ten minutes to order drinks and for the rest of our time there she would be gone for 20-30 minutes at a time. Paying for bottomless mimosas, it was frustrating not being able to take advantage of that. One of our friends was pregnant and needed water and food and she didn’t come to the table to refill or take our order. Finally we placed the order and when the food came everything was completely cold. We were shocked. Most of the girls ordered the chicken and waffles and the chicken was the only warm thing on the plate. I ordered the picadillo tacos and it was cold and dry. Huge disappointment. At 1:15 the manager came to our table to let us know that we had to be gone right away and so we paid and were rushed out. I’m giving this one star because the best part of this reservation were the hostesses. So sweet, big smiles, complimented people’s outfits, and did their job ver well. Will not be coming back for food and if I’m back to try one of their pink drinks, it certainly won’t be cause of the service. Such a bummer :/
Really fun spot. Great food. Great service. Great energy!!
The food was fine. The service was awful. I had a party of 18 to celebrate a graduation. We were seated outside in a tent. We were the forgotten table. We were seated at 12:30 and did not get drinks and chips until 1:45. And this was only because I asked to speak to the manager. I had to get the manager involved 3 times before the meal was over.
Not a good experience.
we came in to celebrate a a birthday. everything we ordered was delicious! great happy hour menu, definitely get the esquites!!
upon welcoming us they made sure we knew that we had a two hour limit to dine. however, we didnt get any water or service for 15 minutes. despite the delay on their end, we were still asked to leave our table exactly 2 hours after arriving. there were multiple empty tables around us... overall decent food but overhyped. they should let people know about the 2 hour limit before they make their reservations.
Delicious food, greasy drinks, all night happy hour on Wednesday. But they are super strict about the 2 hour reservation window. But after we paid we went out to the patio!
I went with a friend for Happy Hour and really enjoyed the evening. The service was excellent and we ordered based on the server’s recommendations. It was all so good! We got beef fajitas and the house margaritas - both were so tasty. Great specials and I liked the music. Will go again.
What an amazing spot! We were there for a Happy Hour on a Saturday and we ordered lots of appetizers and they all were very delicious. It was 10 of us and everyone loved the food and the cocktails. We will definitely come back.
The food was sublime but the service not so much. For the price, did not expect to be left with no water carafe while other tables had one, we had none and my small water glass remained empty for some time. Asked a passing wait person, not ours , for one and they did bring a carafe. We ordered the pricey queso, also paid for the chips and salsa. Our party of 4 was served a small bowl of chips which we emptied quickly, with plenty of queso and salsa left to eat. No one offered to refill it. Our waitperson nowhere to be found, Ifl finally went to the hostess stand and asked for more. Five minutes later it appeared.
The food was so good would like to go back but probably won't. I'm okay with mediocre service at a lower price restaurant, but at these prices no thanks.
It’s not the restaurant’s fault necessarily, but it was a hot and sticky day, so it felt pretty uncomfortable in the outdoor seating area.
It would be nice if the brunch menu could be expanded a little... A salad option would be good.
Would also like additional beverage options, such as herbal tea.
The wait staff is very professional and skilled, and the beef truly is phenomenal. So tender and delicious in the egg dish I had. My mom’s omelette was light and fluffy.
The avocado toast as a starter was okay. I would have liked the bread to be more toasted to make it a little sturdier as a base layer.
Aesthetically, the plates and such are beautiful!
Cinco de Mayo. They had drink specials and decorations so it was a great place to be for the night.
Good food but a little pricey. I had a lot of my plate unfinished and hoped to take home but while I was engaged in conversation, the waiter took it and I didn’t even realize until too late to save. Overall, a good dining experience, though.
It was a really great experience and we will be back!
Terrible Customer Service from the Manager...Heads up, they will take your reservation but seat you on the much less appealing, depressing looking, dirty patio.
I made a reservation for dinner here for my sister’s bachelorette for a group of 9 of us. I booked it many weeks in advance and had done a ton of research on the best places to go for this occasion. The main reason I booked this restaurant was for the interior decor/atmosphere. It looked so fun and perfect for a bachelorette! I looked on their website and there was never any mention of a patio or outdoor seating. When we arrived, we were seated on a patio that was nowhere near the level of the interior. It was dark, dingy, and full of bugs. I kindly asked the manager if we could be seated inside and explained why we were there and the reason I chose that restaurant and that I had no idea there was a patio that we might be seated on. He did not care at all, did not even apologize or attempt to make it right. He shrugged me off and went about his business with no concern about our table of 9 girls giving him business. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I am in the customer service industry myself and have customers that treat employees horribly yet we still cater to them and do our very best to make them happy. This was a HUGE disappointment and I definitely do not recommend this establishment. Our actual server was fantastic but I was so disappointed in the manager so I rated it low. The food honestly wasn’t that great, we could have easily had a better dinner somewhere else.
Came here for my sisters bachelorette party! Food was awesome. We ordered the street corn, Brussel sprouts, chicken fajitas and queso. And the grizz mizz was delicious and super cute! Highly recommend
Atmosphere and service was great, food is a little overpriced since the portions are not that big.
Service was great as always.
Great place for brunch! I met my adult kids their and they loved it! My daughter loved the decor (and food) and my son loved the food! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The hostess was so nice to get us all at a table together!
Loved it so much! It was the perfect place to take my sister who was in town. Super fun atmosphere, yummy food and drinks, and so fun!
