Our server was incredibly absent minded. We were sat at a table that was not properly cleaned. Dessert sticky food and dried up food. It was really unappealing. Our drinks took forever. And our server took forever to take our order. Their Internet or system was down, but they seemed inept at taking orders the old fashioned way. I notice the table next to me also had issues. The waiter left us with the checkout machine and didn’t come back. It was just strange. Doesn’t make me want to go back. I took my mom for Mother’s Day dinner there. Again, service was slow then too.

This was our first time dining at Griffen’s. We are not impressed with the ambiance nor the service. The food was good, but we will not be returning.

Fantastic food. Drinks were some of the best I've ever had. Energy was incredible. Upscale without being stuffy. Service was great. I highly recommend the brussel sprouts and oxtail, and the Danger and Royal drinks. We will definitely be back!!

I took a chance for my birthday dinner to a place I have never visited. When seated we all started with a variety of apps and drinks. Standout were the potatoes which had a great flavor. The menu is brief and seems to change but I went with the Tiger shrimp. Everything was very tasty and the service was excellent. I am glad I took the leap and had a great experience.

Griffin’s in Brea is a gem that delivers an exceptional dining experience with a vibrant, urban-upscale vibe. From the moment you step in, the warm atmosphere and attentive staff, like the standout server Sarah, make you feel right at home. The menu is a delightful fusion of flavors, and I was blown away by the dishes we tried. The patatas bravas were a highlight—crispy, golden potato chunks with a smoky, slightly spicy bravas sauce that had just the right kick. The texture was perfect, with a fluffy interior that paired beautifully with the bold sauce. The meatballs were equally impressive, juicy and bursting with flavor. Their unique seasoning made them stand out as some of the best I’ve had. The ribeye was a showstopper—cooked to perfection, tender, and packed with rich, savory goodness. The accompanying chimichurri added a fresh, herbaceous note that complemented the meat without overpowering it. Overall, Griffin’s nails it with fresh, flavorful dishes and impeccable service. Whether you’re sharing tapas-style plates or savoring a hearty steak, this spot is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next trip back.

Fantastic food. I took two friends to dinner. One is vegan. I was concerned. The server and kitchen were very accommodating. There were several dishes for him to choose from. The server recommended mushroom tacos (not on the menu) as vegan and the brussel sprouts. Both were delicious. I had the rib-eye. Fantastic! There was a wine night special going on. There are two different dining rooms. We chose the one nearer the kitchen, but most people opted for the larger room.

This is a great spot for groups of friends, happy hour, family dinner, celebrations, date night and more. The atmosphere is fantastic. The staff are warm and friendly. The menu is an eclectic international tour mixed with some well guarded family secret recipes. The drinks are fun, but they serve your traditional favorites too. The food is like a party in your mouth. The flavors are unexpected with subtleties throughout. The chef keeps the favorite staples, but also enhances it with seasonal changes. You MUST have the patatas Bravas. I won't ruin your amazement by describing it to you and let you experience it for yourself, it's like none other. The sauce just compliments all the hard work to make it shine. The tiger chimichurri is a unique twist that elevates the steak. They've just added live music on Thursday night, which only added to the ambience. If you haven't been here yet, treat yourself!!

One of our favorite spots! If we are in a grid lock and don’t know where to go, we go to Griffins. The owner, Robert, always checks in with the guests and makes sure everyone is taken care of, he’s awesome! The chef is superb, absolutely amazing! We’ve never had a dish we didn’t thoroughly enjoy! If you haven’t stopped by yet, do it, you won’t regret it!

Food and cocktails are both next level. This is a foodie’s restaurant. Ambiance is simple but pleasing. Great happy hour. Prices are reasonable especially when you balance it against the quality of the dishes and service. This place will be on our rotation.
