Service, food, and ambiance continue to be outstanding!
Our meals were exceptional but we all agreed that our server, Mickie completed the experience. Her knowledgable recommendations for both food & wines proved to be spot on. She was so professionally personal alng with her ibvious knowledge of yhe foods & wine. We'll hope yo see her on our next Chophouse experience. The Chophouse has always had a great menu but the new owners have taken it up a few notches. We are fortunate to have this quality in our community.
Loved the atmosphere, the staff, and the food. Really friendly and open environment , definitely a more special occasion, fine dining restaurant.
I wanted so badly for this to be good and adore the owner. It was awful and bad in every way. My lamb was quite good but my wife and children’s meals were horrendous and her steak was actually burnt when we ordered medium. I spilled a glass of water and 4 people walked by without help. I actually just switched tables since no one was helping. It was dead in there on Mother’s Day. I even had to grab my own glass of wine from the bar after it sat there for about 15 minutes and wanted it with my meal. It breaks my heart but unless there’s a change very soon this will be done quickly.
Delicious Mother's Day Brunch! Only thing questionable was clarification on the Mimos and Bloody Marys... Our waitress said they were only offering “complimentary” mimos to the Mothers . In actuality everyone is supposed to get one free drink as it was stated on the menu. So we were charged extra for the men’s Bloody Marys.
Outstanding food and service! Varied menu and great ambiance!
We are fgairly new to the area and have looked for a good, pleasant restaurant with excellent food and excellent martinis' You are the best for Greeley. Service is friendly and helpfull. New mamagement seems very interested in patrons. New owners get it.
This was my second time going there and the food is absolutely amazing. It's by far the best steak I've had in Greeley.
Daughter and son-in-law came to town for the evening. We all chose the Chophouse for dinner. New menu is wonderful. Food is well-prepared. Staff was friendly from beginning to end of the meal. The new patio dining option looks incredible. Great spot for anything from everyday dining with family or friends all the to very special occasions. Don’t miss the Chophouse when you’re in town!
Known for their steaks but the halibut and tuna are great. My Mom loved the cheesecake!
Wonderful service and ambiance. Great for get together of a group or intimate for a couple
Overall great experience, I did wait for a while sitting at the bar to get acknowledged...bartender seemed a bit stressed during what seemed to be a fairly slow evening. Service was great one we got seated.
Excellent food selection. Our waiter was fabulous! Love the sea bass.
The staff were all attentive and helpful. Most of the food was delicious. I had a ribeye that was super thin and couldn’t be chewed past the grizzle. The flavor was great but the steak itself wasn’t. The place was almost empty when we arrived and we were seated at the back next to a sliding wall. The private room soon filled and all we could hear was the group in it.
I had requested a booth in my reservation, but when we arrived, they could not find my reservation, so we ended up at a table. For this City, it was a nice atmosphere. Soup of the day was good. I think the ingredients they have are good. It is preparation that was lacking. My halibut was fresh, but the Dijon and nut coating was not well conceived. The bacon-mushroom risotto was promising in description, but was a pile of mush, and not palatable at all. I expect food to be better at a restaurant of this type than what I can prepare at home. This was not. I believe it can be though. It all starts with the attention to details in the kitchen. I am not sure I would return.
We took our daughter and her husband visiting from Kauai to dinner with family. The evening called for a special place. The Greeley Chophouse helped make it a special evening. The new dinner and drink menus were wonderful and the food, from appetizers through entrees, was excellently prepared and presented. The individualized service from Matt is a big part of what makes the Chophouse a welcoming place to enjoy a great meal. The wine selected by Aaron was a special treat. Everyone enjoyed the evening and our experience at the Greeley Chophouse!
Food was cold- they don’t usually do brunch so maybe it was just the set up.
The Greeley Chophouse puts on an outstanding brunch buffet for Easter and Mother's Day. Highly recommend.
Always really like the Chophouse. Good food, excellent service and a great atmosphere
I have a severe allergy to onions and told the server before ordering. When the meal came it had onions all over the plate. It was taken back to fix, but when it was back, I noticed my steak very undercooked. Again they took it back. Returned again, still undercooked but I just ate it, as the my date did (theirs was also undercooked). They "comped" a creme brule for our troubles, but it wad also not cooked properly. For the amount of money charged, the kitchen and food was left not worthy of returning. The server was kind, but with so many issues and sent back for corrections not an enjoyable night! Even the matre de did nothing or speak to us as we left. One person does not make restaurant.
Not worth the time or money.
Our waitress was charming and when one guest mentioned something that wasn't really a complaint, but wasn't 100% pleased, she stepped in and solved the issue making the guest feel very listened to and cared for! The food was good.
My wife and I were able to split the prime rib and add side-dishes of cheddar mashed potatoes and green beans. The staff accommodated our need to eat in less than one hour for a movie date.
Everything was fine, but it was a little too expensive for our taste. Food was very good, atmosphere was very good, service was very good
We had a great (birthday) dinner at the Chophouse. The steaks were excellent as usual, and under the new management we saw some positive changes in the setup of the restaurant and menu items. We'll be back.
The Greeley Chophouse continues to provide great food, great ambiance, and great service!
The new management of the Chophouse has built upon the excellence of the previous owners. The specials have presented an opportunity for deliciously prepared and fresh fish. The wine menu has also expanded!
We had great steaks cooked to all our liking. The cheddar mashers were very bland with no cheddar flavor. Would order some other side next time. Wine by the glass was very young bottles. Service was outstanding!!
Delightful all around
A very special out of town guest treated my wife and me to dinner following the world premier of a play I wrote for children, adapted from a novel. She is the author's daughter, a childhood friend whom I had bnot seen in over 61 years. "Where's the best place in Greeley to eat" she asked, and our quick answer was "The Chop House."
I had made an online reservation, and we arrived precisely at the appointed time and were seated immediately. The receptionist, and all the personnel, were friendly without being obtrusive, and we began our meal.
The jalapeno cornbread is amazing! The Chesapeake Bay crab cakes appetizer was very good, too, even for me, a native of the Chesapeake area.
We ordered the grilled ahi tuna, the lamb chops, and the steak Oscar. The tuna and lamb were deemed especially delicious. All three dishes were served in visually appetizing style, and although the wait might have been a bit long, the wine and conversation in the comfortable surroundings more than made up for the time
Dessert was an absolutely delicious creme brule.
All in all, our visitor to Greeley raved about her experience, especially the lamb. We felt welcomed, and were well attended to by the staff. The Chop House is an establishment that we hope will grow and expand its offerings under the new ownership, while retaining the great things already there.
We will definitely return.
Our dinner at the Chophouse met the standard we expected for the overall feel and price of the restaurant. The food was timely, as well as the drinks. My only comment other than satisfaction would be, in my experience, some of the heavier / stronger flavors in the sauces can be seen as compensating for a shortcoming in the meat. That's not always true, and maybe I'm just simpler when it comes to flavor blending, but that's just an observation. Certainly will go back, as none of the experience was a negative.
The soup, salad and steak were delicious. My alcoholic beverage Packed a punch which I appreciate. The mashed potatoes were a little dry and instead of cheese I tasted horse radish.
The restaurant is very easily accessed, and the food is remarkable. The wait staff are friendly and polite. I really enjoyed the experience, and I look forward to my next visit. There are many delicious menu items to choose from. Vegetarian items too. And I highly recommend dessert!
The food was excellent, service very friendly, the manager greeted us and was funny and our waiter was wonderful. He even brought a rose to the table for me at the end of our meal. We have been to the Boulder and Denver Chophouse and this was just as great of an experience. We will be back for sure :)
Very pleasantly surprised by the extremely warm welcome from the hostess the maitre d and the owner. The meal rounded out a fantastic evening. I would highly recommend this experience for others.
Good food and service
Excellent. Thanks Aaron for a lovely meal. Deb and Bob Bierma
Recent change in ownership and management. Still great ambiance and great food!
We thought it was wonderful. The food was great and perfect for a date night!
Variety of great food, reasonably priced food and beverages, knowledgeable server, very attentive and affable owner on the scene.
Pre-theater dinner with another couple. Waiter was told we were on a timeline. Four wonderful meals and plenty of time to make the theater. Parking is somewhat challenging, few spaces untaken on the same block as the restaurant. Found a space nearby, though.
