After eating here on Sunday, we decided to return for my birthday because it was good food and great precautions were being taken to make guests feel comfortable. Way to go Gravy for providing us with another wonderful experience
Given the nature of COVID-19 and the recent downtown riots, the service and food were both excellent and I will be returning soon.
It was absolutely amazing.
The pan seared salmon was to die for. Highly recommend 10/10
Nice experience, nice place.. Good time. Attentive staff, service. Well done.
Even though we experienced a fire drill everyone just picked up and went back to it. It was relaxed and no one panicked or even expressed displeasure. We had a wonderful evening with friends.
The food and service were great—awesome eggplant pie and Nutella creme brûlée. The restaurant took great safety measures to help with social distancing (reduced the number of tables, limited seating at each table, etc.) The tables were pretty far apart.
We had a lovely meal with good wine, good service and a nice atmosphere.
Great food and great drinks. Had a reservation and got in quick. Was waited on quickly and had a great dinner.
This place is awesome! The staff, ambiance and the food were excellent. If your looking for a place to please your palate this is it. Five star all the way!
Good food but we were placed near the back door which was constantly being open and closed. Our entire party felt cold every time a staff member went outside the back door (presumably to smoke).
Met two girlfriends for our monthly dinner outing. I just wasn’t blown away by the meal and red wine that was suggested to me. I’m not sure I will return to this restaurant.
Food & portion was amazing. Glad we had a reservation because the place gets super packed :)
Loved the ambiance and service. Panzanella salad and garlic knots were excellent, and the spaghetti and meatballs were tasty. The osso buco and tagliatelle Bolognese were nicely presented and good, but I've had better.
Food was tasteless and undercooked. Bench seating was broken on both sides of table and we all leaned/slid toward aisle - very uncomfortable. Very very loud - we had to lean in and speak loud across table/booth. Loud bustling cafeteria like ambience. Could have overlooked if food was good but it was simple and flavorless.
Oh, where to begin. The food is luke warm, served on cold plates, for starters; had to have two dishes recooked that were ice cold, yet both were clearly just microwaved and served (ironically) on a new cold plate, and were still cold.
The ‘gravy’ of gravy is very sweet, and tastes like it’s fresh - from a can. But sweetened. Its very sweet. Thankfully, it’s entirely unseasoned and devoid of garlic, herbs or salt (that’s sarcasm).
This is like eating from a cafeteria. Everything is already cooked, and they just reheat it (50/50 of actually being warm for us) and put it on a cold plate. Hundred bucks they have drawers full of pre-cooked pasta that they finish in a starchy, tepid pot of water when someone orders it.
We were offered a bag of dessert to take with us for our troubles, from a manager who wreaked of cigarettes and booze (curly haired blonde woman, didn’t catch her name; for obvious reasons she didn’t offer it.) We declined the bag of dessert, because we’re not homeless and had symphony tickets.
This place is...trash. I knew better, was warned, and went anyway.
Do NOT eat here, I beg of you!
Every time I go to Gravy I keep thinking the food will be better than it is. Our server was great and the drinks were great. No one couldn’t get passed the overcooked, mushy pasta. Every plate had overcooked pasta. Al dente is how pasta in an Italian restaurant should be cooked!
That food hit different. Good job. Would recommend.
Husband and I went last night for dinner and it was great! Had a reservation and we were sat right away. We unfortunately were sat by the door so it was a bit cold. It was also hard to chat as it was very loud. But the food was amazing, wine was good, and service was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are taking note about the tables close to the door and the noise level; however, we are very happy to hear you enjoyed the food, wine, and service! We hope to see you again soon!
Great service! I was the most impressed by the cocktails! Good, solid Italian...will definitely go back!
Thank you Buffalogirl! We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with us!
Normally, I enjoy this place. This time, the food was mediocre. I had the duck Rafi it had little taste. Unusual for Gravy.
We went for a quick nice lunch with a group from work and it was quick for what we needed but also really nice!!
Gravy’s food is always fantastic!
The food was good. They had an issue with another booking and asked us to move tables mid meal. They asked nicely, moved us quickly, comped us the appetiser and dessert, thanked us and thanked us again with gift cards. Given the situation they handled it very well.
The food was fine, but nothing special. I think it was better when Bella Monica was involved.
The bread!!! So delicious!
My group of 7 all enjoyed our meals.
As always the Kale Caesar Salad was fantastic! The service was attentive, but not intrusive. The pasta carbonara was wonderful, and the Nutella cheesecake was a great finish to a wonderful meal!
Great food! Service was wonderful :-)
My salmon was under cooked but they corrected and comped my meal.
Our food was delicious! The only reason I gave 4 stars was that the poor bartender was serving the whole restaurant! But he has a great attitude and we left him a good tip. They needed more servers...the food was delicious, we all got something different and everyone liked their dish!
My wife and I enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner at this perfectly sized establishment. The ambience was casual yet intimate. The service was spectacular, we were waited on kindly and generously. The prices were fair and we really got a bang for our buck! The variety of menu options was perfect. And the food was delicious! will return(:
Fabulous service and excellent food! Definitely a must!
The food ambience Was amazing. The staff was so attentive and made sure we had everything that we wanted. We will definitely be going back
great food. my boyfriends steak came out rare when he ordered medium so they made sure to remake the steak for him since it was their mistake. this was very kind, but resulted in us eating our valentine’s day dinner at different times
Great service and very good food. Enjoyable dinner.
We went for Valentine’s Day and they were a well oiled machine. The traditional Bolognese sounds basic but you must order! It was hands down some of the best pasta you’ll eat, and I don’t say that lightly. My fiancé couldn’t keep his fork off my plate! So tasty, and all around great experience but to add the cherry on top it’s very well priced!
Wonderful staff, great wait team and excellent menu choices. We spent Valentine's day here, and everything was perfect.
Had a great Valentines day dinner very nice staff would definitely go back
