Delicious meal in a beautiful setting. Excellent service. Black cod & Mary’s chicken were both excellent. Noise level fairly high but they accommodated our request for a somewhat quieter table. Will keep coming back!

Had dinner…Great starters, entrees and dessert. Three of us dined and only one person has eaten here before. We decided to sample the dishes we ordered. Everything was great! We had 2 starters and three entrees and one dessert. Gave 4 stars as asked about nuts on dessert Ms waiter said none but came back with candied pecans on top. Told them one person has nut allergies which is why we asked; however, they did send another. Not sure if they charged or not but it was also delicious. Be sure to make a reservation as they were packed on a Weds evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant- won’t regret!

If it was possible to give zero stars, I would have done it. Perhaps this was an off night but there were lots of issues - took forever to get a Cocktail, mine had barely any actually drink and was mostly one huge ice cube, a second cocktail took so long to arrive I’d lost interest - and we saw it sat on the bar for some time, so even if they were busy this is really more about incompetence on the part of the wait staff. Starters were ok but entrees were really bad - I asked for New York strip and when it came it was cut into slices - you just never do that with a steak, particularly if it’s going to sit for some time before it’s served (as this was - again it was a ridiculous wait time). My wife asked for the black cod which arrived basically baked and clearly not freshly cooked and no evidence of the miso. Even the bread was an issue. So bad. The only thing they did right was not charge us. The couple next to us also had several issues with their food, in case you think we are being unfair.

The service was extremely slow. I can’t put all the blame on server, they had him waiting on way too many tables, we had a party of 8. The food was great, but the poor service really left us dissapointd.

Such a different experience from last time. Last time, we had excellent service and expertly prepared food. This time we had a server who seemed visibly annoyed and made irritated comments about our dairy allergy questions, the bread was stale, and the food was cooked inconsistently (one scallop carmelized, the others pale). Maybe an off night?

Our server, Peyton had an attitude from the moment he greeted us, it was as if he didn’t want to be working that day, like he would have been happier being somewhere else with his family and friends! His sarcasm was not understood or appreciated. After we waited 15+ minutes after our appetizer course for our dinner he dropped off our “sides” then disappeared. After another 5-7 minutes I flagged a different server to alert him/ our server that we were still waiting on our dinner which was then promptly delivered. The sides were then cool to like warm. For the final act, we had to ask about dessert which asked to have sent home with us with our leftovers. You would have thought Peyton would have at least mentioned that the cake was a-la-mode, so we would get it home in a hurry and put in to the freezer. The busboy/other server and hostess saved the day with their charm and efforts to make up for Peyton. When the hostess just randomly mentioned that Peyton was part of your banquet crew it all made sense. If you want to charge folks $98/fixed price dinners then have a staff that is attentive who want to be there who don’t have a lousy attitude!! Mike Palaia

We had to pay the $$$ for our dinner but they treated us disrespectful. Our 10 years anniversary, and our wedding was this hotel. When I booked it online ,I requested and noticed them that our 10 yrs anniversary. When we got there, they put us upstairs ( the upstairs dark, no decoration , dead place , all the chairs are old, ripped). Downstairs was beautiful with all decorations, flowers, lights for each table but for us upstairs 🤬. The service??? F…….k . The waiter who took care us ALSo took care Another couple came after us between 20 minutes to 30 minutes, and that couple got all the foods, drinks but we didn’t have anything beside water. Booked another dinner in 3 week with 10 people but we will nerve come back to this restaurant. Spend our money to another restaurant that will respect and treat us nice

I love this restaurant and the bar. The atmosphere, the food, the wine, the service are all impressive. Francisco was a fabulous server and was so helpful with our wine and dinner choices. Will be back soon…

Grange seems to have gone down the food hill. Our dinner to celebrate a birthday with our son was marred by very, very slow service in a restaurant not that full. My wife said the only high point was our server Laura. My “Cab New York” steak was a rather thin bit of NY steak pre cut into sections. I asked for medium rare with a concern not to be too well done and it came out medium. It was chewy — a sign of poor meat quality. It came with a tiny bit of sauce and two overly fried potato wedges and a bit of mushroom. All for $64. I plowed through it. Oh the off menu Caesar salad the server round up was delicious. Stingy with one small anchovy despite my request. Wine pours were generous. Their Manhattan remains good so the bar staff has kept up. My son hit the miso cod and said it was good but not Nobu. My wife’s beet salad was drenched in dressing but decent. Desserts were weird. Her chiffon cake had little moisture or taste. My apple thing was bizarre and without the accompanying ice cream not that good. I suspect it will be a long time before we return to Grange. It used to be as good as Ella’s.

Great dinner before we caught a play downtown. Excellent beet and burrata salad! They brought me GF bread which was so appreciated! Our waiter recommended a nice wine as they didn’t have what we ordered. Loved the short rib! Espresso martinis were perfection!

The food was delicious. The dessert was dry and terrible for the cost. The service was the worst part our water never got refilled. They charge for valet and do not waive for if you go to the restaurant even though they don’t have parking. The waiter forgot one of our drinks and we had to ask twice for it. The food also took a very long time and no communication about it like whether the kitchen was backed up or any updates so we waited for 30 minutes for our dessert only for it to be terrible. Would have been back for the food but truly the service was so bad and for the price we paid I don’t think I would go back.

Came to have brunch with a group of girlfriends on Sunday. Our server was very patient with us rowdy broads and may have actually been entertained by us. We all enjoyed our food and drinks and definitely plan to come again for brunch.

Asked for a quiet table, seated smack out in the middle, next to the bar on one side and four bros in “team gear” on the other side, so that was an immediate fail (ironically, we have been seated in the same spot every time we’ve dined here). There were plenty of better options for us, I guess that worked better for them. Menu is … sparse. Meal took about 30 minutes to arrive, and only after the server pushed for a second round of cocktails in that clumsy, up selling way. We were glad not to be offered dessert or coffee and, happily, did get the check promptly on request. Overall … meh. Nothing special, not awful, albeit a bit overly smug.

We went to the Grange for my son’s birthday and all four of our meals were outstanding. We all cleaned our plates! Expensive yes, but a lovely night out and worth it.

The food was flavorful and well balanced. The BLT Benedict with pork belly was delicate and smoky! At noon the restaurant was mostly empty and very peaceful. Our server was charismatic and charming. Unfortunately they were out of the Beignets on the desert menu. Over all a great experience!

Service staff was excellent. The manager is friendly and generous. It was my wife's birthday and he gave us two free desserts and coffee and tea. The food was scrumptious. We will be back.

I brought a work colleague who was in from out of town. I’m a fan of The Grange and have eaten there 10-15 times. I was super disappointed with the fish tacos. The fish barely made an appearance. It was overwhelmingly batter and shredded lettuce mix. My colleague said his pastrami sandwich was just ok. Hope this is an exception and not a trend. But how dead it was for lunch makes me wonder.

The fresh flowers at the entrance of the restaurant are just beautiful. Food was changed some from last time. Overall nice and clean facility with nice waiter "Stephan" was his name - not sure if I spelled it correctly- Great breakfast!! Conny G

Nice quiet dining. Great food and atmosphere. Use the valet, it’s only $10. The restaurant will add it to your bill. There is offsite parking around the corner but that area is a little sketchy at night. Overall great date night restaurant. I will be back.
