Four of us had lunch after touring Glen Eyrie. Two had salmon, one the lobster roll and I had the chicken currie croissant. All were excellent. Nice wine list too. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful view. We’ll be back!
Elegant room, but no table enhancements. Stale bread. Scallop presentation of two which was supposed to be three which was unattractive but quite tasty. Ribeye steak ordered medium-rare was medium-well done. It was much smaller than advertised, but very tender and flavorful, but grossly overdone as were the accompaniments. The mashed potatoes were very good. Rack of lamb ordered medium-rare+ was grossly overdone as were all the accompaniments, but was also surprisingly tender and tasty.
The overall appearance of both plates was quite dark and unattractive.
Service was wonderful, as usual. The wine was also wonderful.
Perhaps Tuesday is a bad night.
Great meal all around and the service was above expectations. Wildlife and scenery make this a must stop and try!
The pictures on OpenTable depicted that we were going to sit outside with romantic fireplace which is why I booked it for our anniversary. The outdoor seating is for members only. They did not carry the only type of wine I drink which is a very common wine, so I ordered a soft drink. Not very romantic while my husband sipped on a $22 old fashion. Peter was AWESOME though, explaining the menu and providing excellent guest service and made us feel very special He also provided a couple complimentary wine samples for me to try. Food was excellent flavor but portions very small with no soup or salad that comes complimentary with our very pricey entrees. Peter did however gift us with a very tasty dessert. It was a nice experience, but will probably not book it again.
Our server Liam was amazing and attentive. Even though the food is a bit pricey, it is quality food and you are basically paying for the location (which is one of the best in all of colorado). The views are well worth eating here. Highly recommend the Panko Encrusted Salmon and the Cheesecake.
One of our guests ordered the chicken sandwich and it wasn’t fully cooked and had to be returned to the kitchen . The croissant on the chicken salad sandwich was quite dry.
Great night outside of a steak being severely undercooked. They made it right but made for an akward meal as one person ate while the other waited 20 minutes for them to correct their error.
The mountain views are always magnificent, service & courtesy are outstanding, and the food is delicious. Additionally, my out-of-town guests were so excited with the view, the staff noticed, and graciously volunteered to take several pictures of us with our iPhones. Service is always above-and-beyond with a smile.
Last time we had an excellent meal with lots of items that sounded and tasted fantastic. This time the menu wasn’t as exciting, and the food was mediocre at best. Still a fantastic view and the service was outstanding.
Service was slow but gave us a chance to enjoy our wine and the view.
Need to go. Even if you are not a guest.
The food was not good. Beautiful setting and awesome service but food was not good.
Amazing views of the mountains, with a super friendly professional staff. Food is delicious, great attention to detail.
It is very fortunate that the public can dine here now. Terrific views, excellent food, friendly and professional staff, and beautifully maintained resort.
Bummed that on Saturday they stopped breakfast at 11am.
I had a 3 egg omelet that tasted like it was cooked using diner grease. The potatoes were also disgusting. Very disappointing breakfast and honestly I’ve had a better breakfast at franchise restaurants.
The diner is a very beautiful venue. This visit was not very impressive. Waitress was good but service was slow. Four of the five orders had a bland presentation. The Ruben sandwich was a bit tough in places. Two ordered the Bison Melt. They thought the meat was a bit dry. We accommodated your dress code, yet there was a table with two customers with ragged t-shirts & sloppy appearance. I was treating two sisters for their birthdays & was a bit embarrassed on how the meal was prepared & presented. Two of us ordered the bison chili & one of those was taken back since it was not served a a proper temperature. It will be difficult to reconsider for a return meal.
Had awesome experience having lunch here. Salads and desert are amazing! Especially some mousse. Views are amazing!
Breakfast was great. Liam was our server and he was outstanding!
The view was spectacular.
Beautiful views, quiet, great food and excellent service!
Probably the worst dinner I've had in decades. I travel a lot. I've eaten all over the world. Everything from fine dinning to local dives. I don't mind paying a lot for a dinning experience. Unfortunately, the Grand View Dinning Room is far from a dinning experience. I would argue it is barely edible. Every thing we ordered was a huge disappointment. I started my dinner with their lobster bisque. I'm pretty sure the bisque that was put into my very hot bowl was in fact cold. It seemed like it was warm in pockets, but cold in others. Then they have the nerve to serve it in a huge looking bowl, but the soup is just the tinniest cup at the bottom. There was literally one little piece of lobster in my tinny lukewarm cup. My wife didn't have any lobster in her cup, just broth. But that would be OK, if it tasted like lobster, but sadly it didn't. It tasted like squash soup. I do not think any lobsters were harmed in the making of the soup. My poor wife ordered the scallop appetizer. If you put both of the little scallop pieces they served her, you might actually have one whole scallop. To be honest, for $18, we did expect a little more. And the cauliflower three ways turned out to be nearly flavorless cauliflower two ways and a bunch of crumbs that I think was supposed to be the third way. I ordered the Cornish game hen. The bird was actually done pretty well. But the mushrooms were far from "roasted" and wild rice was under cooked, again lacking in flavor. As was the "Herb Consomme" they served, it lacked any flavor but salt. Sadly our service was not impressive either. In fact, other than the location, there was nothing memorable or impressive about our dinner. There are lots of very good restaurants in Colorado Springs, the Grand View Dinning Room is not one of them. I will certainly not be going back. I would recommend to others to save their money and their appetite for one of C-Springs better venues.
Service is a bit slow but since you are there for the view, it doesn’t matter. Food is pretty good and just the right amount. All of the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. I would recommend it for a lovely dining experience,
The host is very accommodating. We enjoyed having our breakfast and watching sunrise on their outside patio.
It was overall a lovely dinner with friends & love the setting but the service was lethally slow. Martini was a very poor pour.
Everything was incredible and the view perfect
The view is in incredible and the setting and atmosphere is upscale and comfortable, but the food has a lot to be desired. The food is NOT GOOD and a huge disappointment for such a great location. The chef and cooks need to be fired and start a new with a qualified chef and this place would be packed all day long. The food was terrible!!!!
An incredible find! Lunch after morning on the Gardens of the Gods was the perfect ending to a spectacular morning. I can only imagine how a sunset would be!
Food was excellent and a real bargain where prices could have been much more. Valet parking was much appreciated and complimentary. Only drawback was service was slow. In this pandemic era with staffing issues it was to be expected and we didn’t mind at all as ambiance was so spectacular!!!
We had a super special reunion with a dear family friend who
We had not seen in many years. Everything was absolutely top flight. Thank you!
Amazing view, great food, wonderful employees!
When we arrived they claimed not to have a record of our reservation (even though my friend saw my name on their computer) and that it was a constant problem for them with Open Table reservations. I was more than a little unhappy and would like them to know this. This has been my go to place with visitors in town. Guess I will have to find another place. Open Table should not be happy with their disparagement either.
The most incredible views of The Garden Of The Gods and the food was also very delicious!
Can't beat the view. The food and service outstanding. Would highly recommend.
Pared down menu and lackluster service. Cold food. Not a good experience unfortunately, as the views are beautiful, but it’s the best thing this restaurant has going for it.
Wonderful setting makes it all worthwhile. Food and service was very good but not 4 star.
Amazing views but the food and service equaled it!
Perfect spot for a birthday celebration meal. Beautiful views Garden of the Gods.
The view from the patio of the dining room facing the garden of the gods is gorgeous! Even though the food is a little bit on the expensive side, it’s well worth a visit simply for the ambience and the view.
Absolutely incredible views + delicious food. Excellent waitstaff and given the opportunity, I would return in a heartbeat. I had the filet and my husband had the lamb, both plates were clean by the end of our meal. We even had deer visit the reflection pond at dusk while we were dining in. 5 Stars!
It was as my wife would put it “amazing”. The views, the ambience, the seating at sunset, our waiter Chris. It was a great experience and I am sure we will do it again soon.
What a beautiful setting for a meal with a gorgeous view of red rocks and nature. We had 2 deer join in and munch on the flowers near by. The food was delicious and servers very nice and attentive.
