I always love the customer service and food at Grand Street!
Food was just okay. Wine glass was all spotty and therefore unappetizing. And the price of the food I would expect place to be cleaner.
The patio dining area was lovely, perfect weather. Our server Xeni(?) was also wonderful. The shrimp and grits was good, albeit a bit soupy, but was definitely not a portion size or shrimpy enough to be valued at $18!
Had dinner before a concert, and got seated at our reservation time. My dirty martini was delicious, but my daughter's French 75 was awful. Her second choice was much better. So many selections on the menu, but we were satisfied with ordering 4 appetizers. The flatbread was scrumptious, as were the prime steak tacos, deviled eggs were not that great, we loved the fried brussels sprouts. Our after dinner Grand Street coffee with several liqueurs was the best!! Service was exceptional.
It was great!! We loved it. We had a great time. Food was outstanding!!
As always, the food and service were excellent. Whether it's Happy Hour, brunch or dinner, my experience at Grand Street is without fault.
Sunday brunch after a visit to the Nelson Atkins museum. The food was delicious. They were busy and the service was slightly delayed. Not a deal breaker but an observation. The brûlée French Toast was amazingly good. The eye opener martini was a must have.
We enjoyed both the food and the service. We found the parking arrangements rather confusing and inconvenient.
The food and atmosphere were OK. If you were going there for dinner then it's not worth the price. I'd suggest this place as more of a lunch or afternoon drink/snack location.
The patio is nice and is set up in a way to mask the noise from main street. The patio furniture is a little awkward to sit for a meal. Better suited for hanging out.
We were there during happy hour, and I order a house wine that I thought was part of the happy hour price. I feel as though our server could have mentioned that it was not.
They seemed understaffed for a Friday night and drinks/food took quite a while to come out for all patrons.
The location is near the plaza without having to actually go through or in the Plaza. And they have dedicated parking that is easy to get in and out of, which is a plus.
The service was very slow when we were there. The restaurant was crowded (and probably short-staffed) and it was frustrating.
Also surprised that if you want bread, you have to pay $6 for 'bread service.'
Overall great experience as usual - one of my favorite spots in KC metro.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Will definitely come again.
It was a great way to start the afternoon at the Plaza Art Fair
Great food, drinks and service.
First, let me say that in the past this was one of our favorite restaurants. This visit was well below par on service. They committed, in my mind, the cardinal sin for a
high end restaurant. " Bringing your entry when you are only half way through your
salad". Then although partly our fault for not catching it because of the rushed delivery, they brought us the wrong entree. Similar, but not what we ordered.
It was good, but not what we ordered.
Great food and exceptional service
This after Covid breaks my heart. Grande street a place I have enjoyed for many years. Chefs going back original openers as now good friends. Change has happen life needs to come back to a better then what was. Support this place its a great local favorite !!
Fabulous Happy Hour! Food was excellent and our waiter was very attentive! One of our favorite spots for an Early Happy Hour!
Great place for lunch or dinner and very convenient parking.
Went for Sunday Brunch. Though it was crowded service was excellent. The entrees were very good and I thought reasonably priced. Will definitely go back!
We went for brunch with friends and hadn't been in a long time. We were not impressed with the food and the service was unbelievably slow. The only reason there are stars is because the waitress was really trying hard and it's pandemic times, so I have some understanding for the situation, but we won't be coming back.
Perfect! Great place great food.
Very little choice for gluten free.
Bill’s chicken salad is the best. Thank you!!!
Brunch food was served lukewarm.
the focaccia was hard on top, didn’t seem fresh. Mac and cheese runny and served unapp
Server was average
We used to love this restaurant. definitely disappo
Always a wonderful place to dine - inside or out. The wait staff is attentive but doesn't overwhelm you. They know the specials and how the food is prepared and give excellent advice. Of course, the food is great too. This is one of my "go to places" whether it's lunch, happy hour, or a special occasion. Grand Street never disappoints.
Great patio spot for outdoor dining. Very crowded on Sunday night which is good for Grand Street. Food was slow coming out of kitchen, but given hiring challenges all restaurants are facing, it was understandable. Just gave us time for another drink! We had the tagliatelle and shrimp, not to be missed. And the Mezcal Negroni was a great variation that I’m going to try at home.
On a cool summer evening, grilled salmon salads on Grand Street Patio - can’t beat it. Wonderful nite to enjoy dinner in fresh air with wonderful friends.
We didn't know that Grand St. Cafe only served Brunch on Sundays and we were somewhat disappointed because of that because we were expecting to have lunch/dinner. We didn't recall the website indicating that. Other than that, everything was okay.
Zella provided great service, and everything was lovely.
I forget about Grand Street Cafe because it’s tucked back in behind Winstead’s in amongst office buildings. But, it was perfect for us. We wanted outdoor seating, we felt VERY safe, they keep a great social distance between tables. I watched them sanitize the tables, I also heard the hostess tell an unmasked patron who came in, to please put a mask on. This restaurant was wonderful for keeping people safe, all the workers wore masks. They were busy too. Our food was good, was it a 5 star restaurant, no. But, we were very happy having dinner here after we went to Union Station. They even had my favorite Belgian beer on draft.
The fried chicken sandwich filet was divine. I love brussels sprouts, so I thought the brussels sprout slaw was a nice touch. Fries were crispy, hot and yummy, but a little oily afterward. The brownie baked in phyllo was delectable. The small scoops of ice cream and whipped cream, served on the side, were just enough to enhance the brownie's taste. The drizzle of raspberry sauce was just right.
It was lovely to be outside ! Our server was especially helpful, too. A “Grand” experience!!!
Overall it was nice. Two of us had the "pasta" special in which we could find no pasta - six delicious shrimp and a pile of cheesy tomato mush that we could not eat. One of us ordered off the menu - short ribs - and it was delicious. We went online beforehand and it was apparently an old menu that was posted, so there was some confusion at first with what we planned to order and what was actually available. Our server started out a little exasperated at us but we convinced her we weren't crazy and it worked out OK. The appetizers, salads and desserts were very good. There were about six kids buzzing around the parking lot at high speed on those byrd skooters - management needs to do something to end that. Overall, it was a nice evening. Our bill was over $200 for three of us. It was pricey for what we got if I'm being truly honest but it was OK. The restaurant is really pretty and our table and seating was comfortable. The service was good. Overall, I'd rate our experience a 3.5 stars.
Too hot inside
Great food and great service!
Four friends met for lunch. Grand Street Plaza is our favorite place. Easy parking. Wonderful attentive efficient waiter. Sorry I forgot his name. Love Bill’s Salad. Great Malbec by the glass. We always go back.
