Went for Sunday Brunch. Though it was crowded service was excellent. The entrees were very good and I thought reasonably priced. Will definitely go back!
We went for brunch with friends and hadn't been in a long time. We were not impressed with the food and the service was unbelievably slow. The only reason there are stars is because the waitress was really trying hard and it's pandemic times, so I have some understanding for the situation, but we won't be coming back.
Very little choice for gluten free.
Bill’s chicken salad is the best. Thank you!!!
Brunch food was served lukewarm.
the focaccia was hard on top, didn’t seem fresh. Mac and cheese runny and served unapp
Server was average
We used to love this restaurant. definitely disappo
Always a wonderful place to dine - inside or out. The wait staff is attentive but doesn't overwhelm you. They know the specials and how the food is prepared and give excellent advice. Of course, the food is great too. This is one of my "go to places" whether it's lunch, happy hour, or a special occasion. Grand Street never disappoints.
Great patio spot for outdoor dining. Very crowded on Sunday night which is good for Grand Street. Food was slow coming out of kitchen, but given hiring challenges all restaurants are facing, it was understandable. Just gave us time for another drink! We had the tagliatelle and shrimp, not to be missed. And the Mezcal Negroni was a great variation that I’m going to try at home.
On a cool summer evening, grilled salmon salads on Grand Street Patio - can’t beat it. Wonderful nite to enjoy dinner in fresh air with wonderful friends.
We didn't know that Grand St. Cafe only served Brunch on Sundays and we were somewhat disappointed because of that because we were expecting to have lunch/dinner. We didn't recall the website indicating that. Other than that, everything was okay.
Zella provided great service, and everything was lovely.
I forget about Grand Street Cafe because it’s tucked back in behind Winstead’s in amongst office buildings. But, it was perfect for us. We wanted outdoor seating, we felt VERY safe, they keep a great social distance between tables. I watched them sanitize the tables, I also heard the hostess tell an unmasked patron who came in, to please put a mask on. This restaurant was wonderful for keeping people safe, all the workers wore masks. They were busy too. Our food was good, was it a 5 star restaurant, no. But, we were very happy having dinner here after we went to Union Station. They even had my favorite Belgian beer on draft.
The fried chicken sandwich filet was divine. I love brussels sprouts, so I thought the brussels sprout slaw was a nice touch. Fries were crispy, hot and yummy, but a little oily afterward. The brownie baked in phyllo was delectable. The small scoops of ice cream and whipped cream, served on the side, were just enough to enhance the brownie's taste. The drizzle of raspberry sauce was just right.
It was lovely to be outside ! Our server was especially helpful, too. A “Grand” experience!!!
Overall it was nice. Two of us had the "pasta" special in which we could find no pasta - six delicious shrimp and a pile of cheesy tomato mush that we could not eat. One of us ordered off the menu - short ribs - and it was delicious. We went online beforehand and it was apparently an old menu that was posted, so there was some confusion at first with what we planned to order and what was actually available. Our server started out a little exasperated at us but we convinced her we weren't crazy and it worked out OK. The appetizers, salads and desserts were very good. There were about six kids buzzing around the parking lot at high speed on those byrd skooters - management needs to do something to end that. Overall, it was a nice evening. Our bill was over $200 for three of us. It was pricey for what we got if I'm being truly honest but it was OK. The restaurant is really pretty and our table and seating was comfortable. The service was good. Overall, I'd rate our experience a 3.5 stars.
Too hot inside
Great food and great service!
Four friends met for lunch. Grand Street Plaza is our favorite place. Easy parking. Wonderful attentive efficient waiter. Sorry I forgot his name. Love Bill’s Salad. Great Malbec by the glass. We always go back.
Very good cocktail selection and delicious deviled egg appetizer. I ordered their chicken piccata which turned out to me more of a riff on chicken Milanese-fried crisp with a salad-but with the traditional caper sauce. I found it flavorless and not a true piccata. Good service. Too much of a sports bar atmosphere with television screens prominent.
I was seated inside to wait for my friend. We both decided we'd rather try the patio. Staff was so patient and helpful to move us. The weather made the patio a most wonderful place to be. Our waiter was wonder, I'm sorry I don't remember his name.
Me and my boyfriend went for a quick little brunch date, and we had an amazing time. Doug was our server and he was very attentive to our needs and checking in on us to make sure we were well taken care of the whole stay. Food was amazing and can surely tell the cooks took their time! Was kind of disappointed in the “bottomless mimosas” even though they weren’t really bottomless, being charged $1 extra per each glass. But always a wonderful time at Grand Street and will keep coming back!
We were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. Everyone was friendly and the wait staff was attentive.
We had a very nice night out last night at Grand Street, the food and the service were very good. We had the braised ribs and the chicken piccata along with the deviled eggs for an appetizer.
Exceptional meal set in a warm and cozy atmosphere
Went for brunch and learned they only do that on Sundays. Decided to stay and so glad we did. Honey can I tell you those chicken fried brussel sprouts gave me life?!? I also had the special BLT with heirloom tomatoes. Everything was Yummo and the service was delightful. The server I had said he had been working there for 17 years. WOW!! Everything was excellent and I will be coming back for those sprouts indeed!
We had the bread service to start… which is usually our favorite part. It wasn’t fresh and warm like usual. The bread was sort of stale and dried out. Disappointing.
Excellent server. She didn’t rush us and was there when we needed her.
Another grand time at Grand Street! Our server was a jewel and took very good care of us. We were there for Happy Hour and she kept the food and drinks coming. It's always a pleasure to be in your restaurant.
Good food, not many choices on Happy Hour menu. Now they are charging for bread. If prices continue to rise these restaurants will be hurting.
This is my go to restaurant anywhere to meet friends and family for lunch and dinner, or evening on the Plaza with my husband. The servers are always wonderful. The food is always exquisite. It’s quiet. I like to sit inside. This visit was as great as it always is.
Nice patio but none of the food had any seasoning it was very bland I ordered a filet medium and it came out rare the server didn’t offer to take off the bill or have cooked to medium she just said she was sorry and walked away she came back with the ticket and left it on the table and left. I didn’t take one bite of my meal.
We had a very thoughtful server.
An old favorite. Reliably great service and good food.
Our server was the sweetest girl, she regularly checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and absolutely worth the money, especially the white cheddar fondue with the pretzels.
Grand Street consistently has excellent food and service.
Everything was great! I only wish the Bloody Mary was bigger, but that’s because I could drink a gallon of it.
Wonderful Sunday Brunch! Couldn’t have been any better! Great ambiance, food, drink, and staff made it the perfect place to celebrate the end of pandemic isolation!
This is our second time here and it was rather disappointing since we had enjoyed our first time here. The pork chop was nothing like the first time. It didn’t sit well with my wife which made her go to the restroom. I on the other hand had the chicken piccata but it wasn’t anything special at least not for the value. Based on these events, there most likely won’t be a third visit which is sad because, again, our first time was great.
We were seated immediately at 1230 on a Friday. . Our waiter was very attentive and seemed to easily take care of our needs. The food was very good and good portions. We were able to have a regular conversation even though the restaurant was full. Prices were very fair. I recommend this restaurant.
