Grand Street - Plaza
Wife’s birthday! Sat around the corner and had a great time! I had pasta and she got the burger. We both had some wine and enjoyed the bread service and flatbread. We recommend that appetizer combo.
Grand Street was perfect for a Saturday lunch with a friend ! We each had salad topped with a piece of salmon....Wonderful... The atmosphere was perfect. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, as always. So glad to have Grand Street as an easy and lovely go-to for lunch, dinner or happy hour.
Management a little rude. We were there on Valentine Day and he pointed out upon checking in with our 3:30 reservation that we were “cut off” at 5:00 PM. We knew they would be busy due to V-Day but really. He could have been a little more pleasant. Did not appreciate his rudeness. FYI We celebrated V-Day at Grand Street the year they started their special dinner for V-Day, years ago. This experience leaves a bad taste in our mouth. Doubt we will be back. Ruined our Happy Hour. Already shared this with many so his problem now. Wish you luck.
15th Valentine’s Luncheon @ Grand St. We go every year.
Great restaurant always consistent with the food offered. Happy Hour is one of my favorites.
On our recent visit (SundayI chose just the appetizer buffet. It was disappointing in that they ran out of shrimp cocktail and also bread pudding. Other dishes were not refilled. Because of this, I feel ordering just the appetizer buffet was overpriced. Service was excellent and our waiter offered to bring me something else to replace the shrimp. We will return but I will order an entree and probably skip the appetizer buffet.
Great food! Great ambiance! Service could use some work, although everyone was very sweet, just not very knowledgeable.
It look around ten minutes to get in. Friendly staff.
Great food but newbie server provided comedy if not great service.
It had been a while since I had dined at Grand Street. I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I enjoyed my meal. Over the past 20 plus years, Grand Street has consistently served really good food, but I feel that they have reached a new level.
My food was delicious (the salmon, roasted golden beets & greens. My friend had the ahi tuna tartar appetizer and loved it. However, the big pork chop that she ordered was try and hard to cut. She had to send it back. And by that time, didn’t choose to reorder. It was her first time there. The wait staff was gracious, but a little slow to pick up on things.
I will be back. And I’m sure I can convince my friend to give it another try.
Parking ease is a plus!!
Birthday lunch for elderly mother (96). Service (Michael) very attentive and kind. At his request, the kitchen modified a condiment to accommodate taste. Lovely lunch on a 1/2 price wine Thursday.
Arrived before 12:45 for Sunday Brunch. It appeared as of half of what is traditionally offered on the buffet table was missing including the shrimp as well as salmon dip. It wouldn’t have been so bad if some type of substitution or price adjustment was offered. It’s too bad since they have good chefs and a caring management team.
This used to be a great Sunday brunch, but not now. We waited more than 10 minutes for a server to even acknowledge we were at our table and finally asked the host if there was a server assigned to our section. The buffet portion of brunch was mostly empty both times we went to get food. It's been a few years since we were here, but the buffet just looked sad compared to the last time. Probably won't go back.
I had their nightly special of quail and it was superb.
Dining with a friend from out of town. It was restaurant week. Although we had a reservation we had to wait about 20 minutes for our table. That was not a problem but it was a foretelling. We ordered from the restaurant week menu. My friend’s soup came out on time but it took two reminders and 20 minutes for me to get my salad. I had taken about three bites out of my salad when our entrées arrived. Grand St., Café is a well established restaurant, one more than capable of handling restaurant week.
Delicious, varied menu (excellent pasta to BIG salads). Wide wine and spirits selection. Excellent service, perfectly timed to allow a relaxed meal without ever feeling forgotten. The noise level is MUCH LOWER than in the past. Mich more enjoyable environment for 3 couples to linger and chat. Can't wait to go back.
Great food and wonderful service. Thank you!
Beautiful dining room and great service! I came to meet with family and we will most definitely be returning!
Chicken was so dry that I simply stopped trying to eat it. Host and server were wonderful. I didn’t tell anyone about my food bc we were short on time, and it took quite awhile to come out. My lunch guest has the same dish, and it also was dry and tough. Jerky texture. Rest of food on dish was delicious, but also felt like it was drier than it should have been. Overuse of heat lamp? Not sure, but it was visibly dry too so someone should have caught that.
A restaurant week adventure for four friends. Great food. Part of us sampled the regular menus others did the Restaurant Week menus. Everything we sampled was really good. The deserts were heavenly.
We came for Restaurant Week, but ended up ordering off the menu. The meals were extraordinary and beautifully presented. The weather kept many away, but we certainly enjoyed our meal.
Because of the inclement weather, there were less people there on a Friday night during restaurant week than usual. Our server, David, was very attentive and SO helpful. We had a great evening. All of the food was amazing and we tried new things with the restaurant week specials.
My friends and I have been coming to Grand Street for 20+years and this time we were very disappointed in the service. Once we were close to being finished with our meal, our server immediately cleared the plates and brought our check without asking if we'd like another drink. We continued to sit and visit another 45 minutes and not once did she ask if we'd like another drink nor were our water glasses refilled. By the time we left, every glass on the table was dry. She seemed to be annoyed with us from the beginning. When leaving I tried to tell the host about our experience but he could have cared less. Not sure we'll be back after the way we were treated.
Excellent meal and service. Sat us in a window booth just down from the entrance. It was a bit loud directly across from the kitchen entrance/exit. Tuna Tartar appetizer was fantastic. Ribeye was cooked exactly as ordered. Great experience. We look forward to coming back again.
A great dining experience. Wait staff is always very friendly, accomodating and polite. Grilled salmon salad was wonderful. A lovely place for a quiet dinner with friends. Thank you.
Wonderful night out pre-New Years Eve party
The meal was amazing as always. The table service by Steven was even better!
Our waiter was outstanding! Food was great, as always!
Our party of 6 was seated in the private room off of entry/event space. Was not happiest about it, due to the massive size of table and the feeling of being taken away from the always energetic vibe or main dining room. Apparently another group was to be seated there and refused, so I guess they took our table, which was previously pointed at by hostess, saying it was being prepped. Was too hungry and tired to wait for another.
Generally I like Grand Street.
This time I ordered Cobb Salad and I found it disappointing. I was on a date so I didn't say anything. The food was so-so. Not what I usually expect and receive there.
We had drinks and appetizers before heading to the 5:00 performance of the Christmas Carol. We had a great server!
Excellent meal, excellent service.
Had to make a parking space unfortunately. Happy to not get a ticket.
The Mike’s chicken salad is amazing. Great service too. One of my favorite restaurants
Good food a little pricey , but OK. Not the end all and be all
Great food and service, but the restaurant was really smoky...we assume from the kitchen ...hopefully next time it won’t be this way.
This is a really nice restaurant and we enjoyed the food. The main problem was the noise volume. And then the area where they cook behind the bar caught on fire and the smoke was pretty bad in the room.
I loved the ambiance and how beautiful the restaurant is in the evening! The service was very good and the restaurant was very busy! I was disappointed in the food offerings. Granted, I am vegan and I cannot comment on most of the menu that people who are not vegan enjoy. That being said, the acorn squash was dry and drab...no spice at all. It was grilled with the skin on and had an unpleasant texture. Additionally, the Beet Salad was drab with no spice at all. I was disappointed, because most fine dining restaurants will provide flavorful and elegant vegetable dishes and I guess it did not meet my expectations. But, I plan to go again and try some other dishes!!! Please give it a try!
Great experience, service and food. New menus looked good. Server messed up the appetizer. But no big deal.
We had a lovely time. The service and food were terrific. Especially loved our server, she was funny, warm and overall outstanding.
