Our food was outstanding and Sean our server as well as our sommelier, were very knowledgeable. Professional. Sean made our experience pleasant enough we'll be back.
Derek was our waiter & provided excellent service, so personable & attentive when needed.
I called to alert the evening was to celebrate my girlfriends birthday…the gentleman I spoke with indicated he’d not the reservation and that a dessert would be brought out. Waitress never did 🙁.
We had a private room for a business dinner and it was wonderful, as always. The food, service, and ambiance never disappoints at Grand Street.
Homecoming dinner. Really good. Thx! Hostess was very good at her job w a full full restaurant!
Wonderful service. We sat in the bar, so the noise level was higher than in the restaurant. Food is always exceptional. We had mushroom egg rolls and dinner salads. Drink menu always has something new and delicious to try.
My daughter & I on a day date. We sat outdoors Michele was our server. She was very helpful & friendly with recommendations making our experience even more fun.
The food was fabulous!! I feel like it gets better every time. The salmon was cooked to my order. The presentation was beautiful. The apple “pie” wanted us to lick the plate.
Will return again… soon.
Sharp, modern atmosphere with good food and excellent service.
Have been to this location a few times. The food is not as good as the Plaza location in my opinion. The fish I had was not very good and I didn't feel well afterwards.
Great food. Sat at the bar. It was a very enjoyable evening.
We ate on the patio and it was lovely! Our waiter (Bruce) was great and checked on us often. We both had salads but mine was a little brown like it might have been old but I enjoyed it anyway. This was not our first visit and we will dine there again!
The food and drink were exceptional. We particularly enjoyed dining on the outdoor patio and our server was perhaps the best we have ever had. Thanks.
The space was lovely, and the food was very good - what small amount we had, anyway.
We were seated, and our waitperson took our drink order. It took quite a while for us to receive our drinks, and didn’t bring a glass for my bottle of San Pellegrino, which I thought was odd. She carried the bottle out under her arm with our drinks, which she didn’t bring out on a tray.
It took quite a while for our appetizers to be served, which were very good. The issue is that our waitperson didn’t stop by to ask what entrees we wanted to order.
Mind you, when we ordered our appetizers, she did ask if we were going to order entrees. We confirmed that we would be ordering entrees, so she knew that we planned on eating a full meal.
There had been a significant amount of time between ordering our drinks, and then appetizers, and receiving them, and we knew that there would be a long stretch of time before we’d see our entrees…so we decided to get the bill and have dinner elsewhere.
We also noted that we saw other waitpeople more than we saw the one assigned to our table. Our waitperson seemed unconcerned about the pace of our meal. She was very inattentive. She could have remembered that we intended on ordering entrees but seemed unconcerned.
Overall, the meal was a letdown. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and were looking forward to experiencing some of the lovely desserts we’d seen being delivered to other tables, but we didn’t want to wait to order and receive our entrees.
We’d love to say that we would return to Grand Street Cafe, but we won’t.
We had an excellent dinner and really enjoyed ourselves!
We dined on the patio. Waiter let us enjoy a relaxed pace without being inattentive. Happy hour specials to start were good, especially the deviled eggs!
excellent food and service. Good bang for your buck
The restaurant was gorgeous. The service was superb and the food was absolutely wonderful. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a lovely delicious dessert. We couldn’t have asked for a better night.
Really outstanding service, good food and value. We love it. Please keep it up. Great that you have other staff closely training new servers…it really sets your restaurant apart from many others!
Food quality was sub-par and service was slow. Host was not very friendly.
Incredible service. Lizzy was a great waitress!! Drinks were always full and food arrived quickly. Also, Caleb made up a specialty drink that amazing with Amerol, whiskey and Dry Curacao (I think :). It was so good. We had a wonderful evening at Grand St. Lenexa. Thank you!
Waitress, Amy, was a real treat. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the experience.
Main entrees were cold and portions were “stingy “. Management did all the necessary things to make it right.
Food has gone downhill. Steak was charred too much, tough to cut with a knife. Something has changed.
The trout was very fishy tasting
The pasta my husband had was mushy and sausage dried out
My grandskinds had The chicken fingers and the breading was horrible..they have never complained about ANY chicken fingers
Also they asked for ranch to dip their fingers and we were charge $2.00
Never been anywhere they’ve charged for a ranch dressing with chicken fingers
Very good food, attentive service. Please keep that focus….that makes you special.
Haven’t been to this location in awhile and it was not as good as it has been in the past. Everything seemed to be coated in butter and the menu has few even remotely healthy options. Completely understand that this may be what people want but I doubt we’ll be back.
Invited some friends to dinner at Grand St Lenexa. Really disappointed and I am a fan. The AC was not keeping up so it was hot in the restaurant. Ordered a salad and it never arrived. 2 of us at our table ordered the trout and we were told only 1 was available. . . it was 6:30 p.m. You are already out of trout? The waitress was nice but inexperienced. I was ok with that as I know help is difficult to find. But when the check was split, no details were provided on the meal, just a total. Food was pretty average. I don't know if I will be going back.
The Mac n Cheese is very good, but they’re out of pretzels due to vendor issues so don’t plan on having the fondu. Also, you gotta get the brownie!!
Great experience !!
Service was great. Our waiter was on top of everything. The atmosphere was great as well. The food prices listed on their website did not reflect the prices at the restaurant. $140 with tip for 2 steaks and an appetizer is a lot of money for a “cafe”. That did not include any alcohol and 1 Pepsi. Prices could be in line with other restaurants of this caliber.
Wonderful date night dinner here with my wife. She went the safe route with Bills Chicken Salad and I consumed the million calorie Smoked Sherri BBQ glazed Pork Chop with the most decadent mac n cheese with spiced Chicharrano with diced pancetta. Oh what a treat. And Sean our server was both knowledgeable and helpful in our dining needs. Will return soon.
Great experience table was ready, food excellent, waitress awesome and a good amount for your money !
Generous portions of very good food at reasonable prices. Very friendly and courteous service, although a little confused.
This place never disappoints and is our go-to for dinner and brunch. Great food. Great happy hour. Great service.
Music TOO LOUD and made it difficult to communicate with friends. I asked for a quieter area and was seated directly under a large speaker.
Great good and service!
The only reason I am giving 4 stars is the main courses. We got the short ribs and the Brussels sprouts were undercooked and hard and the grand street stack we assumed as a sandwich but it wasn’t. Everything still tasty but nothing superb. However, the soft pretzels and deviled eggs as appetizers were delicious! And you have to get the grand bar for dessert. It’s sinful! Our waitress was prompt and nice, great upscale looking restaurant! We will be back.
The food needs some help. The quality and offerings did not match the ambiance. The restaurant is beautiful and has lots of potential. The decor of the restaurant is outstanding, however, they played loud 90s music over their sound system. As mostly plant-based eaters, the offerings here were slim to none for us. We decided to eat vegetarian so we didn’t have to go elsewhere. There is no escaping the meat and dairy here. All in all, we will probably go back to use up the gift card someone gave us, but we will just have cocktails and maybe a bread basket.
It was a holiday weekend, with few servers and only one bartender as expected. For the most part food and drinks were good. The pork chop was dry
