Grand Street - Lenexa
Food tasted ok, but I ordered a ribeye and got a strip that was overdone, probably won’t be back
The service was good but my 45$ steak was tough and a bad cut of meat for the money.
Everything was great, although the special Valentine dessert was not so hot as it was dry and we left half. It was pretty though.
brian = great server
Our dining experience was impeccable. From the moment we walked in the door the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our waitress Kristi was knowledgeably and pleasant. The dinner special, a Phyllo Wrapped Salmon, was amazing!!!
The food was outstanding, the ambience was great and the restaurant was very clean. Our waiter seemed a little overwhelmed so we were left without drinks a few times, but he was courteous and apologetic. Overall, I would definitely recommend Grand Street to anyone that loves great food and upscale atmospheres.
Great swordfish special - best seafood meal in a long time.
The food at Grand Street is always excellently prepared and presented. The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. But their website needs to amend their hours of service.
I order Bill'd chicken salad every time I lunch at Grand Street. The Sunday Brunch is incredible, too.
Server did the best he could but it took way too long to get our lunch. Kitchen had to be backed up. 2 people in our party had to get theirs to-go because it took too long and had to leave. Surprised since this was restaurant week and we all ordered the specials. I may give them another try but not during restaurant week.
very nice dining room. I love that the bar is at the back of the restaurant rather then right at the front door. seating was comfortable and the food was out-of-this-world delicious and the price was very reasonable. I saw lots of private dining rooms. Will definitely be checking those out for our 2020 Company Christmas Party. This is a convenient location for us as we live in far western JoCo.
Came for restaurant week. Loved the beet salad and butternut squash ravioli. My server did a great job offering this and even knew what charities Restaurant week is helping. Nice touch having a manager come back to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. Definitely will be back to this location, much closer than the plaza.
Dinner on a Friday night. Expectations were high as it was the first day of restaurant week. The hostess greeted us with a warm welcome and promptly seated us. Our server, Haven, greeted us instantly and gave a detailed description of the newly changed seasonally inspired menu as well as the coursed restaurant week menu. The options were all described as high in flavor and seasonally appropriate accoutrement. My dining partner and I chose the roasted cauliflower soup with rye croutons, smoked olive oil, and romanesco for our first course. The taste satisfied my craving for something warm and creamy, with a slight crunch of the croutons and romanesco. Our entree choices were a pan roasted chicken breast with the skin on, accompanied by a mushroom brie stuffing, porchini mushroom ragout, grilled broccolini or a butternut squash ravioli with manchego cheese, roasted hazelnuts, smoked prosciutto and a red wine syrup. We got one of each. The ravioli tackled flavors from distinct angles of sweetness, saltiness and earthiness with a carmelly and nutty manchego cheese finish. The pan roasted chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy and crispy on the outside. It was accompanied by a mushroom brie stuffing that could easily have been a stand alone bread pudding, even without the rich porchini mushroom ragout, and perfectly cooked broccolini. For dessert, we both chose the famous phyllo-wrapped chocolate gnash brownie, an all time Grand Street staple that never disappoints. Throughout our service, the staff seemed inviting and polite. The manager even stopped by and asked us about the main course and mentioned that she had enjoyed the chicken herself earlier that day. Thanks again for another great experience, can't wait to return again!
This was my second visit to Grand Street - Lenexa after having a pleasant dinning experience a couple of weeks prior. Our server seem to have a problem with getting my bar drink order correct. It had to be sent back multiple times. The first time was because she did not bring what was ordered. The second time it was sent back was because the drink order was incomplete. Both meals were fair. I had the pork chop with mac and chasse. I found the pork chop tough and difficult to chew I did not eat most of it. . My friend had the trout with Brussels sprout. My friend stated that the fish was dry and the Brussels sprout were very salty. I tasted the Brussels sprout and I would agree with this assessment. They were quite salty and difficult to consume. There is a need for much improvement. Unsure we will return to this location in the future. We have had much better experiences at your Plaza location.
We got a last minute reservation for 4:45 on New Years Eve. Sat right down, servers were nice but a little disorganized as our area was kind of forgotten after they sat us. Food was very good.
Good food at lunch, not so much at dinner. Lunch was quick and the waiter very attentive. The ice tea was so-so.
The food was great and our server was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately we were sat in the bar area. The manager and bartenders were hanging out, feeding a friend and obnoxious. I watched the bartender carry my ice with his hand to my glass, eat olives out of the garnish tray and hold court with his buddies. Lots of laughing, cussing and bragging about the weekend. Candidly, none of that offends me- just not the environment I expect when dining.
Good food, eat in the dining area.
This is my favorite restaurant when I come to Lenexa to visit my family. Excellent menu, food is always refresh and outstanding tastes. Service is friendly and staff is excellent and knowable. Very good wine selections. Always a great time.
Service was great and food was very good.
We had Bruce as Our Server. Fantastic service. Amazing guy
Excellent menu options with seasonal additions. Our meal was delicious, from apps to dessert. Wait staff was very friendly, attentive and accommodating with dietary needs.
We made reservations but had to wait a bit. Nothing major but ended up in the bar and it was very loud. We were hoping for a bit more quiet so we could have a conversation. Good food and drinks though.
The food is fantastic! The service is always fabulous! Riaan has been awesome every time we visit. I highly recommend martini mondays however it would be nice if they expanded their brunch cocktail promotion to include Bellinis and not just limit it to mimosas and Bloody Marys.
We had a great time! Micah, our server, was awesome! He provided good suggestions for food and cocktail choices. We will go back!
Our waitress Rochelle was fabulous ! Food was great !
The food was excellent. It was cooked perfectly and promptly. I had the chicken and waffles. They were crispy and juicy. The waffle wasn’t too heavy. And the home fries were both crispy and not too dry. Someone else had huevos rancheros. It had just the right level space with a Spanish chorizo. It was amazing. The ambience was nice and relaxed for Sunday. The staff was very helpful in answering any questions we had about the menu. Even when a large party came in halfway through our visit staff still made the time to see how we were doing, refill our drinks and chat. The Bellinis and Mamosas were delicious. It would almost be worth it just for those alone.
The place is wonderful. The people are friendly and very attentive. I enjoyed the pork chop dinner but it was it was not as moist and tender as in previous visits.
Nice place to dine. Food good, service good. Absolutely nothing to complain about.
The waiter was very attentive and really added to our enjoyment of the restaurant. There were a lot of different, interesting food choices and our cocktails were spectacular.
Excellent service excellent food as always. Thanks.
We went for happy hour and it was great! The food was excellent.
Restaurant was closed for some reason. Sign on front door noting it was closed
My brother was visiting from Silicon Valley. We met a long-time family friend for brunch and just had a great time. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the bloody mary bar.
First time at Grand Street in Lenexa. Have been going to Plaza location for years.
Our waitress, Christy, was great and we enjoyed the evening.
Very nice. Enjoyed it.
Couldn’t get a server for about 20 minutes
Thanks john p and micah for a great time! Loved the place!
Had some unbelievable drinks. John and Zach were great bartenders! Super friendly service. Made us feel right at home.
Great food and service. Loved it. John P was a great server.
